Predictions time!

HW Bracket:

Madiaba VS R1885: Skinhead is slow as heck, but can make more damage than Crashman. However, battery power could be a problem for the former; or it could win by points, destroying Quickman's weapons. Quickman is probably going to push him all around the arena, giving the wedge to Skinhead. No KO on this one, i think. Yawner alert.

Naryar VS Somebody:Just what i wanted, probably the easiest opponent for me. This will go like most of the Mako-Cataclysm fights : Mako losing a hammer, and me winning either by points, or a KO. Smackinator CAN win a match though, depending of the luck.

Jules VS Reier: IMO Jules is Reier's worst opponent in the HW's.. Well, Tormentor has probably better wedges than Doomsday, and it will give it the edge, but if the fight lasts and if Tormentor can't toss and KO Doomsday quickly, it could lose a weapon. And this could mean victory for Doomsday.

Urjak VS H@zm47: Steel Meatball did won because it didn't faces most of the RAW undercutter. VeXxed?!'s speed and power will drive it under it's opponent, and the fact that it's a True Popup will help. That could be a very easy fight.

LW bracket:

Naryar VS R1885: Well I never fought a bar HS with hammers, but Iron Fist packs a powerful punch with a Storm piston, and if there's enough points scored, i can probably win because R1885's HS could mauler dance. Yawner alert.

Somebody VS Madiaba: Somebody's bot has WAAAAY lesss HP's in his weapons than Mad's bot, plus the speed difference makes Mad's bot more destructive, and i'm unsure in Cutinator's gut-ripping abilities. Mad will probably win.

H@zm47 VS Reier: Tim III is faster and has more weapon HP's than Devastating Whirlagig (weird name), plus the first is invertible, not the second... Probably a yawner with a WBP for Reier. Yawner alert.

Urjak VS Jules: HS battle... another yawner. Weapon hitpoint supremacy and most powerful motor come to Urjak = Urjak FTW. The weapons have too much reach for Jules's wedge to really come into action, plus if one iron goes away, the wedges is pretty much useless. Yawner alert.

Is this single elimination?

Also I agree with Naryar's predictions, except for SS2 vs. Cataclysm. This thing sends SnSs FLYING. So I predict a win for me, but it really could go either way, because it has an AI similar to Mako's and apparently this thing can beat Mako.

Bravo to whoever did Quickman's AI. (Madiaba?) That looks like a hard bot to AI, and it drove wonderfully.

And Cataclysm is scary. The tribar design is genius; it almost completely eliminates the stability issues that plagued such designs as Haymaker, Pillar of Fire, and Pinball. Of course, the fact that the arena is perfect for SnS's helps too.

It would be nice if you could use Orbit cam for recording though, so you can see the bots better.

Edit: Urjak vs. Hazm@7 links to Naryar vs. Somebody.

You need to work on your navbar so it is included in each and every page.....I made you a navbar.php and you just need to update each link as you add a new tourney and then in each page you make have this line

Code: [Select]
<?
include("navbar.php");
?>

OH.....I see what you did...navbarRAW.php...navbarGUMBA.php........you don't want to do that, have ONE NAVBAR and update/add links so it is on every page, even brackets so you can one click where ever you want to go.

Yea, CB. It was a task to say the least.... I almost asked R1885 to resubmit another bot. I finally ended up with---
'topspeed':40,'throttle':10,'turn':10,'turnspeed':1.
Else it would continually over-steer and hardly ever aim nose for ramming.

ACAMS, I should mention thanks to you for facilitating the tourneys behind the scenes...

My son is doing the actual running and videoing of the tourney. He's still learning to operate the Orbit cam well. Next round will have more Orbit perspective, I'm sure.

Naryar, I had used my FBS_1 to AI Cataclysm,... assuming that that is what you wanted because of the way you had it wired. CB's AI.py might be a good choice too, and would have used it, if I had remembered it. I think you can do this stuff on your own, if you put some effort into it...
Input is appreciated. :)

Urjak vs. Hazm@7 links to Naryar vs. Somebody.

It was just the middle of the link that did it for me. When I clicked on the name on top in that bracket [I think it was Naryar] I got the match.

And will this arena be downloadable soon?

Oh man, I don't think I am gonna place in this tourney. There is a lot of tough competition and I could have entered better bots.

Somebody, i warned you!

However i don't like my chances on my next fight...

@Click: I initially wanted to enter Hope no More in GUMBA but with the arena i changed to a SnS. It beats most of the RAW bots and i'm pretty happy with it. It's underpowered however with 6 ants. And i wanted a somehow original SnS with a 3WD bot with 3 bars...

@Mad: Well for the AI, it won't matter in the next match, and I fear i'm going to lose to you by points 3 times, but if i win, i'm going to face a fast bot, and in that case i would like Cataclysm to sit-and-spin instantly (or else it'll get pinned and destroyed).

Also couldn't Quickman (and VeXxed) be fixed by just rotating the wheels on their axles?

I know rammers are a pain to AI, but that was... extreme.

Plus 'throttle':10 sounds weird... it accelerated pretty fast though.

_____

And finally... SkinHead ftw.

Despite it not working correctly, Quick still did good, if I was not fighting a tank, it may have won.

Quickman followed the paths of every skin mark exactly.
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.
