AI line, as the creator gave me his AI line. Since it was working so poorly in the group stages I switched it to omni for the brackets.
Uplay is a POS and has no good games. cba with GOG, has less games than steam with fewer sales and I can get everything not ancient on GOG on steam instead. Not sure if desura has DRM but its desura.

On your other points:

The 16 min cut was because Crash Test havok'd for a second time, and therefore lost.
Junou uses potter wheels on the top and bottom, 259 (?) and some other disc as weapons. It's also 70% cancer 30% aids. Pretty sure you were the only one who wanted to see that pushing match, I was very seriously considering just stopping recording 30 seconds into the round cause we knew who would win.
I kinda ****ed up AI'ing most of the VS. I didn't have updated .pys (which I shall remedy as soon as I post this comment) and I didn't want half the tournament be VSs winning by spikeballing.

Exactly my thought, ironically my second entry which didn't get finished in time would've been a disc popup/spinner popup.

I feel like a 20 minute video at once wasn't the best way to do it, rather big and I doubt people will talk much about single matches.

what parts does JUNO JUNO JUNO use? I haven't messed around too much with DSL but that thing looked really strong until it sadly lost the drive(also those parts seem to clip the chassis but that's alright by the rules)

bots stoppping at 3:56 and somewhat at 10:53, why does that happen with the AI?

Should've invested more in high HP weapons. Originally wanted to have hammers but then thought they were overkill(and too heavy)it actually looked good until the icepick was lost and once the wheel was gone it was clear that this won't end well.
Oh come on, why did the srimech not fire when it was on it's side like that.

Thrack's rammer is looking good, got wedge nicely under wen's bot so that the hammer wouldn't hit the rather weak armor. Nice how both of them got overturned with that ram, doesn't look like Thrack's has armor under the bot?
Wish that my bot flipped Craaig's bot like Thrack did here, really strong bot and reminds me of a Ironforge entry

My bot was doing surprisingly well against Wen's, worried that the hammer was going to take off parts, but it throwed the bot around nicely. A bit annoying that my bot hit it right as the 10 second countdown started, which reset it again. Made a mess out of Wen's bot until the icepick flew off, really needed more testing with that bot.

Doesn't help that this was like the second version that was sent in with "I'll ai it later and update it", don't think it even fully uses the weight.
Rematch against Craaig, hey this is similar to the last time I entered a tournament from Badger, same tiebreaker round as the first one.
Beginning was going good, my bot somehow landing on the back side and damaging stuff, however then the spinners met and a ice pick flew off, only went downhill from there, wheel+drive motor knocked out(Nightmare Style) and then lost like half the bot on the other hit.

Was my bot one of the only ones to have a proper way to self right? Redace's was really having trouble there. And Havok Bomb, just to have the drum taken off in the first few minutes of the match. And the typical DSL crash... well at least we got to see your PC, let's see what you have.

Steam (no uplay and no drm free ones?), Task Manager, a video editing software, Notepad++, RA2 DSL 2.2.exe and the lovely crash window.

Guess Redace got the win because there was no chance for the other bot to score points. If the drum didn't break it could've been a close match. No wait, a different setup was picked just because of it.  Oh man.

FrieNdly surprisingly won that in a odd way.

Guy Jean makes quick work of Tempest as well as Edgy Band name, that thing just eats bots alive as if they were a small snack.

16:12 why was that battle stopped? Sure it would've been a boring one but someone would've still won by points. DemonOfTomorrow got screwed out of winning here.

After a disappointing start the Hammer Rammer did get to show how durable it is.

all the other VS probably could have selfrighted if AI'd right with VertSpinner2.py
the battle stopped because demonoftomorrow's bot havok'd OOTA, it wouldn't won anyways since it had lost it's weapon with over 2 mins left in the match
the final was best out of 5 matches, friendly won 3 matches and guy jean won 2 matches

I don't think all VS could've self righted because the body was so big compared to the disc.
Huh? The match that ends at 16:12 doesn't have a havok, it just gets cut, is there any additional info that I'm missing? Also it still had two weapons while the other one just had one.
Was going to say that I haven't seen the entire thing yet, but given how I already spoiled the winner, I was wondering how far Guy Jean got, definitely a bot I'll remember.

Didn't know that you were watching streams, thought it was for hosting(which I still find hitbox thousands of times better, also mostly use it to stream for friends instead of everyone, maybe that's the reason why you don't see good stuff that common), also wouldn't the browser be enough for that?

Uplay is required for stuff that uses their drm, have a lot of fun getting Watchdogs and Farcry 4 on steam where uplay will launch steam, steam launch back to uplay, for uplay to start the game via steam, not kidding, it's a total mess. GOG isn't only about old games(their name used to stand for that but now it's just GOG) and I personally prefer to have my games not locked to a service which requires me to sign to a contract that can retroactively be changed by them. When you get games on steam you own nothing, you only get a license for it, and I'd personally like to own the game just like a physical copy, but hey that's just me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Funny how I mentioned that having no updated py's could be a problem and a few days later this happens. Didn't really mess my bot up as it has a srimech(personally I found that to be better than reverse spinning since it takes all the energy out of the blade or can lead to the blade never spinning up, with the srimech some energy is still kept. It's not the best solution, best would probably be srimech+anti spikeball cage, but I need to experiment further.

Also fun fact, my bot was originally going to have axle mounted wheel motors but I couldn't get the axles in the way I wanted them, so it's back to static.

I know gog does modern games too, but to me there's literally no reason to buy something on GOG when it's also on steam. There's no point complaining about "ownership" of games on steam, it's totally irrelivant to the consumer experience

Tournament stuff:

I'm more than happy with Tekno Destroyer's performance, it won two fights(really thought I'd lose the weapon in the second, but lucky hits disabled the perms before that could happen) for being a not that competitive VS. Think I'll just stick to IRL building when doing DSL stuff. It was funny how it waited for Thrack's bot to get stuck on the hammers, sadly it wouldn't have been possible because of the shape.
I watched the video at 60fps with 0.25 speed, yet the part that 090901 mentioned was barely visible.

Crash Test was a high risk reward bot, failed some fights but won others. I wonder if a thinner bar+hammers would've been the better choice.
How did you find out which bot havoked?

Guy Jean vs Juno Juno Juno, at least both of 090901's bots got really far, loved them. Guy Jean only lost it's Overkill Swords in the fights against FrieNdly which shows how well that was, sadly plows were better to get underneath it but it still did a great job.

Irrelevant? So the fact that I own nothing(while I get to own the game on physical copy) doesn't matter, they can simply shut down my account if I don't agree with their new terms and I won't have any of the bought games.
Steam is a ecosystem that controls the titles you owned and requires you stay in their system to even access your games. Why would I need to be connected to the internet to play a single player game? What if I don't have internet because the ISP messed something up again? Here they're somewhat fast(still means a weekend or three days of wait) but I know of a friend who had to wait 5 months until the ISP had moved over their stuff and updated everything they needed to.

I've been ok with Steam in the past, but the more I learnt about it and the more they changed it, the more I disliked it.
Ever since their new design change their client has been unstable, kept separate logins for your library and community(and hey, that worked so well in Xmas 2015 when you were able to randomly access other accounts), got stuck on videos in the community tab(which needed a restart), refused to connect to the net(required a restart as admin) as well as other issues, and what do you get if you notify them? "It's your PC's fault"
Yeah:

Didn't know that you required a NASA pc to run steam properly.
Then they changed that gifted keys no longer give you a "premium" account, because yeah we needed to lock out users because account scammers(are people really that retarded to believe that a "steam admin" who just looks like a normal user would request them to give the password if the chat even says NEVER SHARE YOUR PASSWORD), as if those account scammers couldn't spend 5$ and then get an account for that stuff, it just scews out users that got games via other ways(what if you can't do online payment for whatever reason but still have the money to get the game) and this now leads to this lovely situation:

Two guys who recently got into PC gaming go into a store and buy a physical copy of a game because their parents don't want them to do any kind of online payment.
The disc only has the steam installer and activation code.
Because of the above mentioned things, both don't have premium accounts and can't add eachother. Brilliant. 

DRM treats the customer as pirate and you get a better experience pirating the game, it even helps piracy because that only works if they're well known. DRM keeps the little pirates away but doesn't do anything against the big, who even get to be known better that way.

Don't get why so many people prefer steam, but whatever.

This one was too fast while People's Choice(taking the PC problems into account) was a bit slow, I felt like we could've gotten a video daily there.
Get the time somewhere in between those two and fix the little messups like the VS.py stuff and your tournaments are perfect.

lul I ran steam with literally no problems a month or 2 ago with worse specs than yours. Maybe do a fresh windows install?

Steam is more convenient, has a larger library, makes your games easy to manage and launch with filling your desktop with icons and serves as a very useful social platform. There are a million and one things steam does outside of simple game purchase (chat, the entire community side, non-intrusive DRM, without steam you'd be getting a hell of a lot more AAA games shipping with stuff like SecuROM or SimCity's always online BS).

Anyway, back on topic. Thanks for the feedback, I agree that the pacing was off. Signups took so long to get the final bot in and so many were VS that I kinda got bored of the tournament before it even started. I've updated all my .pys now so I'm good on that.
