obligatory battlebots 5 comment
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything
Can we enter more than one bot again?
Bleh, I was a seed, and suddenly I've been demoted T.TBut yeah, even if I was, this guaranteed bye thing is a little... weird :/Like smashy said, some made un-IRL bots, and also it restricts how successful a potentially great 'unseeded' robot is, if it's knocked out by something equally awesome which then goes up against something that doesn't deserve to be where it is and would usually be knocked out in round 1.But yeah, it's your tournament, that's just my take, and I'll probably still enter.
the moe motor isn't legal this time? (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻I'll still enter this though.
I think Trov Glitch should be allowed in a realistic manner. Also, why not allow cheatbot 2 parts below a certain efficiency. I love the Hworf Spike.EDIT: And face spinners. Just because of the Garvin incident a perfectly IRL bot type has been outlawed.
I'd agree with the downsides of the seeding system. For one thing, 12 out of 20 seems too many, in my view. Plus, I would much rather see dragonsteincole's machines in the tournament than Urjak's barely realistic stuff, but Urjak's "seeding" as a result of winning more matches, means he would gain automatic entry. I don't think that's fair, personally.
But if they do enter, then they bump another entry out of the bracket. I - at the risk of being decapitated - REALLY don't want Urjak stretching the IRL rules as far as he can, and pushing a much better "IRL" entry out of the brackets. I think a better way of making this work would be that a seed can claim their spot in only one of the four brackets. That would give the unseeded machines a chance to battle as well.
And stop complaining about Urjak, just because one of his bots was unrealistic doesn't mean you get to bitch and moan about it. I'll modify the rules a little to help, but seriously guys.
