I don't see a reason to ban RO7 break, especially as you're gonna want to kill yourself if you're checking for it on every bot.
same thoughts here

Yeah. This would change stock building COMPLETELY.
what the hell you are smoking

Excited!!!!!!!

There are many pros with this tournament, but there is one con...

AI is too stupid!!
Issue happens with spinners with bars!
After AIing my bot, it ramed opoposition and pushed it that it couldn't spin up bars.
Good to know that you're learning to AI yourself, but the tournament host will AI your bot for you if you're having trouble.
also lol at most toxic guy around calling others out on this sh**

My mom's medical marijuana.

(Not really.)

But seriously, considering how limited Stock is in terms of effective designs and ineffective ones, it'd be nice to remove the Ro7. Better wedges, bigger weapons, and maybe someone can come up with something completely new thanks to the removal of Ro7.

I don't particularly agree with allowing RO7 break. I doubt it would even do much, plus it feels like cheating.

It just removes one stupid game limit and it's allowed almost everywhere nowadays, you don't really get that many new designs or gamebreaking stuff from it and it just helps with certain IRL builds and other component placements.

This, name me one recent tournament that explicitly banned it. There's no good reason to ban it IMO.

I'm probably only going to enter Ironforge at this point - a mod I've just picked up but am having a lot of fun with, it's really somewhat revitalised the fun I'm having with this game and I'm glad I didn't vote for DSL as a result.

Anyway I'm actually excited about this because signs are suggesting my robot actually has a small chance of winning at least one battle. Time will tell, I guess.

Ive always felt that the rule of 7 was kind of the art to stock building?

I get its not everyones cup of tea but If anything your likely to see more weapon spam without the rule of 7

Times change I guess :)

Could that...
Ill see tommorow mornig...
if you already installed it, shouldn't you have the .rar of it still on your computer? no need to download it again.

i have to slightly agree with this, because the ro7 is basically the only test of "skill" i guess you could say nowadays with so many people using RA2CF, however at the same time you really don't run into the ro7 that often with a MW so it's not really that big of a deal.

I'm just going to do a quick poll about the Ro7 break. I don't really think it'll change much, so it'll only be a quick poll and I can probably already predict the outcome, but I'd just like to double check what the consensus is.

Why not allow the entire RA2CF mod and see just the most ridiculously stacked stock bots possible?
im just waiting for meganerdbomb to come along and kick things into gear.

Because then you can just make a tiny invincible chassis and it's super boring

Although it's not a majority decision, there is a decision no less. I won't be using the Ro7 break in this tournament. Like I said before, if people think they want it for the next tournament once the current one is done, that will change.
