WHY!?!? that would just slow him down, he's perfect, trust me
Theres no such thing as a perfect robot. You can build it to get it as optimized as possible, but theres always something you could do to it to make it better.
In the case of your bot, move the spike to the front, and place it so it would barely hit the other bot, so the FS will grind it a way while the spikes do damage.

The back would be better with no deference. Its a common new comer mistake to put armor in the back.

here, I don't think he can be Improved anymore than this

Nothing is perfect but the thought that something is.
I'd go and make my own version but I'm too lazy right now.

Getting much better with the chassis size and weight limit!

Saw blades are really bad weapons in stock. Try using a disc with some weapons on it, like razor tips or iron spikes.

N12 wheels aren't horrible, bet there are better choices. Try using shiny hubs or granny guards. What's the armor?

Those drive motors are good on a HW, but on a LW they are just too darn fast unless you are making a rammer. Try using normal Zteks or Reverse angle drives.

Which way does the sawblade run? it has to run downwards, like the original SFTW. Unless your making your own and not a replica.

Well, sawblades suck. So rebuild it so that you don't have to use sawblades.

There you go! See, that's a real weapon.

Now for extenders. Try not to use the angle extenders if possible. Usually a 20cm extender will function just fine. T-connectors are useful though, so don't think you can't use those. Just the 90 degree angle connectors are pretty lame.

yeah but I can't think of any other way to set that up

I could have the blade stick out from the center, but the batt is in the way

this think keeps flipping, how can I stop it, widen the back?

Why did you switch the weapons? The irons were fine, blades suck as weapons.

Sparkey, you gotta listen to what experienced builders say. HPZ motors might be good, but attaching poor weapons on it makes is basically useless. Don't use steering motors. They are a wasted of weight and space, and are very slow. Saws are terrible weapons, and the same goes to blades. The only weapons worth using are razors, irons, maces, axes, pointy tips, bear claws, and pole spikes, and on a lower degree, single-sided ice picks, blades, spike strips and samurai swords (these 4 could be used for motor and extender protection, which means these can't be used as your true weapons). Also, having a smaller chassis doesn't matter much when you have external armor such as plows and ram plates (though most bots have weapons acting as protection already).

It won't help you if you keep building tons of bad bots instead of improving your old ones. Showcase a bot, ask others for advice, fix it again, and fix it again until most are satisfied.

Again, visit this site (http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/ra2techs.htm), which will surely help you make better bots. Visit other builders' showcases for more ideas and try to clone some of them to help you build better. :D
