Like a combination wammer/juggler.  Neat idea.  That would let the bot still do damage when the opponent is on its wedge.

Hmmm... no weight?

Would it be possible to ditch the top row of axes and replace them (somehow) with vertical samurai swords?  Kinda like Robo's R4 setup? That way bots are less likely to go up and over this design. It might keep them in front of the mass of pointy things.

Also there's no way to hit bots that are on top of you, which is a very real possibility with no stoppers at the top of the wedge.  Of course, adding stoppers would kill your invertibility.  So really nothing you can do about that.

Cool twist on the design; I thought it was another generic caster popup when I first saw it, but then I was like, "WHOA, it's a poker!"

Lol exactly the same for me.

It looks pretty good. And IMO it's better to be invertible than to have top stoppers (Hazcon was lucky :P)

Why have all the castor flippy bots have been pop-ups? Lets change that. :P

Not too great tbh. Trades what a good VS needs, speed for gobs upon gobs of armor but great wedges!

A bit too sloppy i'll admit but I just needed to build something after another DSL escapade. I will rebuild it eventually with hopes of 4wd.

You could probably remove the 2 topmost casters and find some more weight to give it rubbers.

Looks like bubble wrap... you should name it bubble wrap.  :gawe:

In all seriousness though, that design scares the heck out of me.  If you design it to have a great wedge, it looks like it would be un-killable.  However, because it would need a few seconds to properly flip itself over when the match starts, a 6wd rammer could possibly get there soon enough to surprise it.  A match between this and Stratocaster would be fun to watch.

Very innovative!

Why have all the castor flippy bots have been pop-ups?

Because on a popup, there is absolutely nothing to hit while the razors are retracted.  On a VS, bots can still hit your weapon and cripple you; the casters only protect the chassis.  Upside-down popups have the advantage of being able to survive unscathed nearly indefinitely against HS's.

But it's still an awesome bot.  The upside-down caster design is sorely underutilized; I think everyone is afraid of copying my Sacrifice bots.  I would recommend putting the weapons further back, perhaps embedded in the casters more, so they just barely poke out, more like a juggler or a Dark Pounder-style VS.
