I'm using the same chassis on all of them. Gyro actually beats all the MW apart from Rammers. Bullet is kinda weak.

On Gyro, a plow is necessary. I would also go Z-tek drive, but this is my taste.

Bullet is better but 8 razors is few for a MW rammer.

STDP.

well, it's that time now, BBEANS 5 is on the way, and everyone is preparing for it. I, however, am at a Dilemma. should I go with the flow and build a HS, or break from the mould? Should a SnS be my bot, or should I build a Crawler? So many choices, so little time...

Quote from: The BBEANS Rules
Your bot must be able to show controlled (not random) movement at any time during the match, for as long as its drive system remains undamaged. Bumble balls (AKA crawlers), Nasty Pickles, piston fliers, or related designs do not count as controlled movement. A quick test: if your bot would be unable to track down an immobile opponent in an arena without walls, then it's not controlled movement.

Anyways, there is no need to hurry - we have at least 6 months since BBEANS5.

How do you know?

System32: are you planning to build one like the ones in Starcore 3?

I was planning on a simple crawler, not one that Flips all the time, though.

Prototype of my crawler. I was testing if I could get controlled movement.

If you can get controlled movement out of a crawler design, then it's perfectly OK for BBEANS.

Going back to your bots.  Gyro is pretty bad right now, but you can easily make it decent (maybe even good) with that 38 extra kgs.  That's 32 kgs for two stabilizing snow plows, and 6 for extenders to attach them.  Change those 90 angle connectors to 20 cm extenders.  Experiment, I'm sure there's a way to get some side plows on, which will greatly help with stability.

Bullet is good, except for the fact that it's not invertible.  There has to be another way to attach the drive motors so you don't have to angle them down like that.

To lack feeling is to be dead, but to act on every feeling is to be a child.

zoom in all the way. move around a bit, slowly, checking every pixel. zoom out. choose different angle of view. try without zooming for a few seconds. zoom.  repeat.
You got my vote for RA2 Wizard. Always and forever.

That bot has absolutely no side defense and you can definitely cut down on empty space.

Also, BBGruff SC3 is crap.
