Downloading files.

Everytime I download a file off of gametechmods it tries to download it as something called "index.php" be it a .rar or a .png I always get the same file which I cannot open with anything except notepad.Any ideas why?

I was downloading the .rar Madman posted in his "all guitar" thread.

hmm, i'd imagine it'd be something with you computer since mad's thing opens fine on mine.

Was it a .rar, and if so do you have Winrar

I use 7Zip as well. Very easy, once you figure out what all the buttons do.

If you try right-clicking, then selecting Properties to check what the link address is, see if it comes up as a .rar, .zip, .php, .jgp, or whatever. Also, Save Target As also helps, because I think you can select the file type when you're saving it.

I have 7z too, and my winrar does not have an annoying register thing .... it works just fine!

I have 7zip and winrar, as i've already said this problem doesn't just happen to rar files.

It works for me whether I left-click or right-click.  Maybe it's a browser issue?
