Are you sure that's really going to fly?  Aerodynamics is complicated stuff...

It'll be cool if it does fly though.

I subscribe to the "Brick Thrust Theory". (the idea that with enough power anything can fly)

Technically, that is correct, but the angle of thrust cannot be horizontal, as the "brick" would simply fall under gravity. You need to have enough of a downward angle to overcome the vertical force of gravity, and you'd need to have the axis of thrust going through the center of gravity to stop it from aimlessly spiraling around itself.

Hey SKBT, I noticed you aren't registered for Motorama. Something come up?

Moto is the last weekend of the "build window" for FIRST, and I was told I needed to be around to finish the build.

I see.
Shish-Kabot looks like vladiator with poker.

This didn't really need to be in huge bolded text...

Meet ze ÜberFrankenbox

733.3:1 gear ratio with a 550 motor

250 ft/lbs of torque

Made from 3 other gearboxes

I'm going to try to lift a 150 lb FIRST bot with it.

Good work. I have a feeling it's going to rebel and slowly prise your robot in two.

How big is that thing?

Just don't pull a Mr. Self Destruct and break your bot in half :P

I got my ass handed to me by Mike today. Because of him Phoenix is now 1/4" shorter. I'm 2-1 as of today.

Phoenix went 4-2 and took 3rd place at Motorama.

MikeNCR was a huge help in rebuilding Phoenix. (twice)

Did Diabolical Machine do well? It seems too easy to flank.
