Thanks- I think Lifting Spikes would be a weapon well-suited to that particular robot, utilising powerful four-wheel drive to impale its opponents, and either flip them over, or drag them into nearby hazards.
Hence, we might see more uses for the pit in Roaming Robots than before

Ah. I thought it was referring to that chassis in the picture below- it looked like it already had four-wheel drive.

Oh, I might have been thinking of another thread, but it was a black box-shaped chassis with a front wedge, four wheel slots cut into the top, and a white skull painted onto its top.

For weaponry, I reckon the best choice may just be some static spikes along the top to aid with pushing. If you have some drill motors, you could fashion a pair of lifting spikes using them through a reduction gearbox. It'd need to be quite a serious reduction, though, to get any force behind them.

i will use the drills for drive and the windsreen wiper motors for lifting forks.

in other news, i have just made myself a 4 amp 12v nimh!! and got the scorpion working

Batteries would have come out better if you used a Dremel.

Looks great though. Pretty clean soldering work. I always found soldering batteries in sequence to be a pain in the ass. Takes a bit of patience. Good work!
