ive tried carbon fibre before, it was terrible, i still dont think a dremel would be any good, im going to buy myself a cheap jigsaw at somepoint

just got back from robots live in burgess hill, with a whole selection of new toys for me to play with but, more on that later.
the one fight murphy's law was in was pretty shocking even by my standerds:
11:00 one broken power light
11:05 broke other power light while trying to fix other one
11:30 found new power light
11:40 switch fell off transmitter
11:45 gave up
12:30 contiued giving up
12:31 deodorANTs lipo blew up
12:35 gave up
12:45 got murphy's law working
01:00 esc broke
01:05 fixed esc
02:30 the fight!!! moved forwad about 4 feet then i got hit by satanix which nocked off one of the eyes and a link, pain in the asp then fineshed the job, knocking the other link out battle axe drove over me before putting me in the pit where tiny toon and seraphim fell on top of me. one of my links fell under neath the pit along with the eye meaning i couldn't fight again.
rest of the day: fixed (sort of) murphy's law drank my lunch and talked to various people. then bourght 4 cheap esc's and a scorpion xl for £50 of david weston.

Weapon ideas? Well, I could imagine if you have powerful drive, an electric lifting scoop with Plunderbird-style wedge stops on top of the body, just in front of where the wedge begins.

A couple, having seen almost all of Robot Wars in the past.

- A Pneumatic Spike with a hardened tip might be an idea- it'd be great for punching through bodywork.

- A Sergeant Bash-style front cutting arm built into the wedge, for grabbing hold of opponents and dragging them around- I've seen a couple of FW Crushers about.

- A front-hinged Flipper built along the front wedge and into the top of the shell, almost like an RA2-style popup. Opponent drives onto it? Pow, flips them over. Like a Landmine, almost.

spikes dont work in the real world, and i don't realy want to muck around with pnematics and i only have a couple of wind screen wipers to play with

Well in which case, maybe some electric lifting spikes at the front might be good. A bit like Africanised Killerbot or Panic Attack, really. Come to think of it, I think Lifting Spikes would be a weapon well-suited to that particular robot.
