You don't hear me complaining about cheap losses from my favorite robots, like when Dr. Inferno Jr. beat Wedge of Doom for the LW season 5 championship even though WEDGE OF DOOM WAS CLEARLY DOMINATING! HONESTLY! YOU CAN'T HAVE A ROBOT WIN JUST BECAUSE THE OTHER ONE IS SMOKING A LITTLE! THAT THING WORKED FINE EVEN WHILE IT WAS SMOKING! LEARN TO FKING JUDGE!I mean, seriously.

My favorite bots are probably TaN (legitimately, I really liked the design), Mantis, Complete Control, Tetanus Booster, and Thermidor 2.TAN FOREVER TAN > CHAOS 2
Why yes- nothing wrong with using the Pit at the right time, but having to rely on it to win (Like Cheap as Chips does) is just cheap.
As for the part on flipping and OOTAing, that actually takes more skill, and is actually exciting to watch and pull off.

<*Jade*> Are you trying to blow up Jupiter?
Also, I suspect that TAN could easy have steered bots into walls, hazards and more. In many ways, if your dissing TAN, your dissing Mantis as well, which is a very similar bot in terms of operation.

Cheap as Chips' strategy was always the same- grab, pit, rob fight of any potential for entertainment. I do like Mantis though, mainly due to the clever engineering behind it that allowed it to both lift and hold onto opponents, allowing it to carry them around ala Complete Control. That was actually somewhat entertaining to watch, and it actually did things other than being entirely dependent on the Pit to do anything.
