I find it funny in these conversations, that whenever someone defends something once (like I did), they are considered a fanboy, but the people accusing them are fanboys themselves.

Nope that's SubZero in the US at robogames 2007 in the US.

BTW I already posted that video a couple of pages back but from a better angle.

Stupid useless irrelevant trivia
The Ti front armor on Shish came from SubZero.
SubZero was dismantled in 2008 to make a HW out of it which now fights under the name Bounty Hunter
I work for SubZero's builder
The Co2 tank I'm using in my flipper was used in SubZero.

I knew they looked alike. Lucky bastard, closest thing I have is the guy who runs my local hobby shop (who I'm quite cool with) has a BW flipper named flying road sign but that's it.

It does = more impressive though.
However, the main crux of the matter is that they've evolved to fit their respective arenas, if a u.k flipper faced a u.s flipper in a u.k arena, chances are the u.k bot would win, and vice-versa.

well the uk and us flippers are designed for different things:
uk, to disable the other robot by getting it stuck upside down or out of the fighting area
us, to launch the bugger as high as posible in to the air so something breaks on impact

I think that If you stuck a US flipper in a UK arena it could still pretty much do what a regular UK flipper could, only with a more eccentric trajectory.

More or less UK flippers are designed to launch bots back and OOTA while US ones are meant to just go up into the ceiling.
