This damn show, man. Gets me excited just like it did when I was 12.

Also, looks like a ton has happened since I've been off doing my own thing, but that's to be expected since it's been like two years since I last posted here. Gonna have to find a suitable place to shake hands and kiss babies before I disappear again.

Vaguely on topic: Inertia Labs followed me on Twitter last night. Pretty sure I got hate-fav'd by them since I predicted Stinger would come out on top.

Well then... the robots I thought were going to win this week's matches all lost except for Tombstone, which I'm sure has this competition in the bag at this point. 

I don't see Bronco's armor (more specifically its thin wheel guards) standing up to the power of Tombstone's weapon; once those are gone it'll be a repeat of M.O.E. vs The Matador. 

Yes Bite Force has beaten 2 other spinners, but one was an old machine that hadn't had a real fight in 13 years, and the other was an obvious new build, therefore teething problems were to be expected.  I just don't see it surviving a beating from the most powerful spinner currently competing. 

This is of course assuming Bite Force beats Ghost Raptor, but even if it doesn't I don't imagine Tombstone having a harder time against Ghost Raptor even though the latter has more speed.

I'm with you on that result. But Ghost Raptor was in the last 8 fight, and what it did to Icewave was very clever.

they went in with an attachment that they knew was cowardly, banned in the past, and bad for TV. they didn't declare it beforehand, for which they could have been disqualified immediately.  Their fight was the very frst fight to be filmed, and their stunt delayed it for hours. When the fight resumed, they decided to be a wedge instead of being Complete Control, crumpled said wedge within 2 seconds, limped through the entire match, looked immobile several times, and threw a drive belt.  But yeah, the judges are what screwed them

Wow witch doctor was a massive surprise.. that could have passed for the final with all those massive hits and suspense

Shame Ghost Raptor is still in this when so many good robots are/were stacked on the left bracket... I mean its basically a stick with wheels at this point, it was a strategy yes, but a great deal of luck that Icewave has a history of imploding.

I never knew there was an OOTA zone either..

isn't the oota zone just where they load the bots in the arena and they disqualified it because there's no way to get out

Huh! Team Whyachi themselves helped build Nightmares new disc! Didn't know. But that is a nice littlepiece of trivia. Also, still wondering why Jim took off the wheel guards vs Warrior Clan. Didn't specify. But, apparently there'll be grudge matches! Cant wait.
