Revisited my single tooth vert from a while ago and gave it a visual update. Also switched from 4WD slimbodies to 2WD TWMR2s. May throw this in discord wars or some sh**. Won't win anything but it maybe looks neat IDK

Neato bfe should be fine, its what I've been using when I made Icewave. If you want any bots looked at and improved, feel free to drop a message to me on here or discord, I'll happily help you out with some

thank you! I tried repairing LockJaw yesterday and he gave me fits, Mecha Rampage has also been tough. Most everyone else should be good though. Just used BFE to make RotatoR a bit better so I'm glad I made this post.

Do you know if it's possible to adjust the bot file to make one motor act like another? If I could make an angle motor act like a ztek that would save some headaches lol
You can't do it with BFE, but it is possible. You'd need to decompile the GMF for the motor you want to edit and then adjust its stats, which IDK if you want to deal with, but it is possible

Just switch over to Robot Rumble  heck. Honestly though, RR2 has a ton more component freedom as well as better graphics and physics. There also should be an arena builder coming out some time within the next few months or so. The only real downsides to its gameplay is the AI and damaging systems for certain bot types.
This is getting pretty obnoxious ngl

You can use Bot file editing to move the disc downwards/upwards after attaching it to the motor. Here's a link to a guide on how to do it: https://gametechmods.com/forums/tutorials-and-tips/bfe-a-beginner's-guide/

Guess I'll drop my bot that's gonna be competing in Cringey's thing now signups are pretty much over. Touch messy in places but hey it was built quickly and at least it exists unlike SOME PEOPLE'S  :dumb)

Also possibly a touch similar to Claymore/Sabre. Didn't start out that way but convergent evolution will do that. If you put them side by side they do look pretty different, honest

I haven't looked at this in a long time but something that allows for very precise movement with wasdqz or wasd-shift-space in amounts of ~0.01 a la movepixel was one of the things I remember wanting.
You can edit the coordinates of components to like 3 decimal places

Reiterating what I said in my previous comment. Really impressive work for a newcomer here. If I saw these in a tournament I'd assume they were built by someone who's been active on the forums for some time. Fuse would definitely benefit from a bump in skin resolution up to 1024x1024 or something like that but other than that it's a slick looking bot.

The extenderbot tombclone is really nicely executed too. I tend not to be a fan of tombclones but you've done a good job of making this one look sturdy and also relatively unique for such a common design. Your usage of polycarb is particularly nice as that's something that people so often mess up IMO. In terms of combat effectiveness it probably won't be particularly effective as you've noted, but for a second extenderbot it's really impressive in terms of looking like a well-thought-out design executed by someone who actually knows what they were doing.

Keep up the good work!

Seconding 8bean and Thyrus. Very nice work for someone so new to the forums. I'm especially impressed by how well aligned your panels are, as that's something that even people with years of experience seem to struggle with.

Shoutout to this thread turning into exactly what it was supposed to stop from happening

Shock, horror, it's a new bot. Double shock: it's a flipper. Had the idea for this in my head for a while and finally got round to executing it. There's a few areas that could be cleaner as I'm a tad rusty but overall I'm pretty happy with the result. 2 NPC fasts, 2 medium VDMAs, standard sh**

Decided to spruce up an old design I made in 2016 and create a 2019 counterpart!

Leviathan Prime (was just The Leviathan before) & Static Shock!

Was the Leviathan in Redditbots? I seem to remember seeing a bot with that name and a similar design in there

Been trying this out now and I'm wondering how to actually use the painter. Seen others with nicely colored bots, but no luck for me. Doesn't seem to paint much.
The painter doesn't really work. People have been colouring their bots by using the "tint" function when selecting material type, and then adding details using paper thin custom components

Maybe make two discs powered by two flatmotors.
Please don't do this

Please can someone tell me how to remove both the bot damage indicators in the top corners and the timer below at the same time?
Disable this setting

I have caved in to meme pressure and brought back literally the first bot I ever posted on GTM. This one is just a little CW for MrMatthews' tournament that's coming up. I basically just took the old Tommib formula and dropped it down to CW. Thoroughly unspectacular but hey that's what happens when you revive a bot that was made when you're a scrub, but I didn't want to be that guy who builds a standard ass 4WD gutripper and then slaps the name of one of my old bots on it as though it's a successor, so I mostly left the formula alone, but with a few modern touches like wedgelets. 2WD NPC fasts, Perm 80 for the weapon, though I may try to crowbar a 132 in tomorrow and see how ugly it is, since I doubt an 80 can self right it, and it will also probably stop dead as soon as it hits anything.

If you want to know why this happened, blame Plerco, Hop and Cringey

The last few days have been somewhat of a failure, since I tried to A) get acquainted with component skinning and B) made a fair few designs that were good until the very end where I then noticed that the frame was 1 or two blocks too wide to work properly.

Whitestrake was the only successful .bot, but even then he doesn't look so great.

If I'd managed to get component skinning to work well enough, this is what I'd hoped Whitestrake to look like.

The concept is definitely there, just needs a little work on the execution. Stuff like the panel gap between the flipper panel and the triangle plates could do with getting rid of. I also feel as though it would benefit from more colours than just turquoise (and also colours which fit better with the ones on the logo)

Overall though it's solid. One last thing is that functionality wise you may struggle for power with only 1 front hinge burst (I can't tell if it's a VDMA or Storm front hinge, but either way it's gonna be pretty weak). I'd suggest using a larger burst or going for a 2 burst setup with a flipper panel that big and heavy.

Another of my RA2 bots. Tad more advanced than the previous two as I'm getting to grips with the botlab more. Kinda underweight ATM at just under 100KG but looks wise I'm super happy.

Edit:
Made a few updates. Moved 2 of the teeth inwards on the drum so there isn't as much "dead zone" where the drum can't hit anything. Also upped the vibrancy of the yellow parts of the bot so they don't look quite so green anymore. Finally I lowered the drum a bit and also shuffled it forward to try and get a better bite on opponents

That's the most inventive use of hworf blades I've ever seen. Still gay as sh** though. I think Robo's gonna have an aneurysm when he sees a LW with more hworfs than Dorothy
I mean this is ironic where yours wasn't. I don't really give a sh** what people do at LW it's a terrible weightclass

Nice bots. Certainly better than my first attempts at the game. :)
I had the benefit of already having the designs down in RA2, which I'm much more familiar with. Was just a matter of recreating them. Will be a whole different kettle of fish when I come to doing original designs in RR2 I think
