Ok, time to learn how to build in this thing. This damn spinner took me an hour to get working and even then it's dodgy. Literally don't know what I'm doing. Join me on this journey.

So I guess this is gonna be where this goes! First two robots I built with the new mod, a very simple flipper and an axe, experimenting with the new components. All very nice stuff.

Hey all.
Anyone who's seen my showcase recently will notice I've started to learn reskinning components, starting (and mostly succeeding) with the flippermaker.
However, I can't seem to get more than one flippermaker into the game so that I can have multiple reskins.
Is there a way of doing this? My searches for tutorials have been fruitless.

I'm willing to bury the hatchet if you are.
I've been out of order, acted like a total cockgobbler, and never apologized. I'd like to amend that.
Sorry, man. We cool?

Sup. I thought it'd be cool if I made up an IRL AI pack, consisting of a bunch of robots that I've made up. Tournament entries, replicas, showcased robots.....anything I can put together. Hopefully it'll go down well, as my robots have garnered fairly positive feedback in the past. It won't be ready for a while, what with starting a new job and current uni commitments, but once I start putting it together, it hopefully won't take too long. At the moment I'm struggling on with UI work, which I'm not very experienced with, so the main menu currently looks like this.... Yeah....whoops.

Hey all.
Just wondering what files in the 'Sound' folder belong to the "DSL...total conversion" voice on startup, and the background music running through the main menu and botlab.
Cheers.

Hmm. There aren't any sign-up threads. Better fix this. Despite knowing nothing about DSL-S, I'm going to host a DSL-S tournament. Kind of like Two To Tango, I guess, only you make both robots yourself. General Info- DSL 2.1 - LW (2 x robots) - Standard DSL building rules. Realistic rule applies. - 16 entries. - You must enter two lightweight robots as a tag team, under a team name. Bonus points if they're thematically linked. (there will be no actual bonus points) Building - No BFE, AAM, NCR glitch, Trov glitch... - Standard realistic rule - No Cheatbot2 - No minimum building quality required. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to enter my own tournament. - Just go nuts. You know the basic rules of DSL-S, even if I don't. Just don't abuse any crap that makes life awkward later on. I can't be assed fixing stuff halfway through the tournament again.
AI-ing - I will AI if you want. - No whining if I mess up the AI.
Tournament Rules
- 1 havok restart, 2 havok forefeit. If round 2 or higher, the robot previously beaten by the disqualified entry will be reinstated. - Arena will be Combat Arena. - Single elimination bracket. - Robots must show controlled movement.
My entries will be posted in due time.
ENTRIES1 - Mazakari 2 - S.H.I.E.L.D3 - Kurt Wylde4 - Elementos5 - qwertythe300th6 - Craaig7 - RFS8 - S.T.C9 - lloopp D lloopp10 - TommyProductionsInc11 - El Chickenado12 - 13 - 14 - 15 - 16 - Green = AI'd. Orange = Accepted. Red = u dun goofed boyo

Right, it's been a while since I AI'd anything, so it's possible I've forgotten to do something, but I've AI'd some robots for my tournament in pretty much the same way as I AI'd my Warzone robots (which worked), and they just turn to face each other then don't move. I then tried using the same bindings as LDAI, but no change. Like so: Any idea what's happening? Never seen this before.

I've been looking around, but can't find anything regarding the subject.
What do I need to edit in order to make a burst motor fire 180 degrees, à la The Judge's burst?

Hey all.
Trying to do some BFE practice, and can't seem to find the 100cm disc in the components folder. Can anyone point me in the right direction of which sub-folder it might be lurking in?
Cheers.
EDIT: Never mind, found them. Under 'domes'.

- IRL Cruiserweight - DSL Tournament Arena - 3 Minute Matches - No glitches, HAAAX, BFE, etc, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah.
Here's the twist.
There will be 3 matches, each contested by 3 different pairs of robots. That means that 3 separate robots must be created each. It will not be best of 3, if somebody wins the first two, then the final match will still go ahead, and just be for pride.
Can somebody host this?

Ok, this is probably a stupid idea, but I'm gonna post it anyway. I was thinking of doing my own tournament because why the hell not, and decided to plan it out in a similar vein to Craaig's Robot Wars 2005 idea, by basically building a successor to a competing robot, but this time in either Robot Wars and/or Battlebots. However, your choices of robot to build is limited, in that the competing robot must have been completely trashed up and destroyed in their final appearance, hence the new entry is an 'Orphan'. RULES- DSL 2.1 -Heavyweight/HW (Up to 800.0kg) - IRL - WhamettNuht's Robot Wars 2013 AI Pack Arena - 3 minute matches - No NARmour - No AAM, NCR glitch, Trov Glitch, etc - You are allowed to BFE the chassis height, but no other BFE allowed. - You cannot be entered until a bot is received and accepted. - You may upgrade a robot any number of times until signups close. - I will AI your robot for you, if you don't know how. However, don't complain if I don't do it right, I only have basic AI skills. BATTLES- 16 Robots, in Robot Wars Series 3 format. Single Elimination - 8 1v1 fights in round 1, then 4 fights, etc. - 1 Havok restart, 2nd time eliminated - There will be grudge matche requests and possibly a rumble (time permitting) after the tournament. CHEATBOT2WEAPONS - Matilda teeth - S3 disc - Diablo Triple Bar - Complete Control weapon
WHEELS - Buster Wheel - Ronin Wheel - Yellow Buzzard Wheel - Growler Wheel - Slap Happy Wheel - M.O.E. Wheel -Thermidor Wheel (in extras, beware: needs to be bfe'd onto the bot)
EXTRAS - All extras from Bulldog Breed, Apollyon, Thermidor 2, MOE, That Darn Dustpan, Hworf, Complete Control, Techno Destructo, Minion, T-Minus, Tornado, Tazbot, Wheely Big Cheese, and Lightning - All The Judge extras except gavel head (Maximum of TWO burst motors) - All Beta extras except battery and hammer - All Bob extras except flamethrower and top armor - All Vertigo extras except motor - Dominator 2 right top, left top, stopper, bar, wheel guards, and antennae - Heavy Metal Noise tooth - Ruiner cowboy hat and wheel - billybar, billyg, billyg2 - growlerwheelframe - Matilda flywheel (in extenders)
Here is my entry, Son Of Robogeddon: ENTRIES1 - Mazakari (Robogeddon) 2 - playzooki (Brutus Maximus) 3 - RedAce (Darkstar 2J) 4 - Badnik96 (Nightmare) 5 - RammingSpeed (Hammerhead 2) 6 - MassimoV (Killer Carrot 2) 7 - Sonny_Resetti (The Black Beast) 8 - sentro (Chaos 2) 9 - TBD Devastator (Stealth) 10 - akshaylan (Widow's Revenge) 11 - Craaig (Hippobotamus) 12 - Kurt Wylde (259) 13 - Camaro Kid (St. Agro) 14 - helloface199 (Shrike) 15 - drakemike22 (Short Circuit) 16 - Thyrus (Ceros) Green = Accepted & AI'd Orange = Accepted Red = u dun screwed up
