See No Evil allowed Hax Mode?  Didn't know that.

But yeah, Both Black Box 2 and Downfall 2 look great.  Does D2's hammer get knocked off often?

Edit:  Oh yeah, Kill Port looks awesome as well.  It gives off a nice 2004-2005 vibe and I like that.

Contests / Re: Vote BOTM Apr 2016

#1: While the splash looks a little weird, the design overall is pretty good.
#2: Nice.  These are a good use for the magnets for an artbot.  I think Thrackerzod built this.
#3: Yikes.  While #1 feels slightly trippy, I can still see well.  This splash makes me think I'm on LSD (Disclaimer: I have never been on LSD).  I have no clue on who built it.
#4: It's so kawaii, but it's mediocre overall.  I know it's not splash of the month, but you could've at least tried to make a anime style splash to fit the bot.  09 definitely built this.
#5: Nothing very special here.  It feels incredibly basic, so nah.
#6: Feels very edgy to me and doesn't quite look amazing overall.  I think Mechadino made this one as it uses resigned components and stacked snappers.
#7: Uh, okay.  I tried doing this a year ago but I feel someone put more and less effort in this.  How do you do that?

Okay, I forgot to mention that I have both Reier's and GS's bots.  I'll get the match uploaded shortly.

Discussion / Re: Robot Arena 3!
« on: April 02, 2016, 11:14:04 AM »
Honestly, if the DLC makes me feel that I'm getting more with the game and doesn't affect online play, then I'll be fine as games like Sm4sh and Hyrule Warriors were pretty good with this.  If it costs more than what it should be worth and/or feels like it should have been in the main game to begin with, then it might be a problem.

You mean this one?

I think this is the one.  Hopefully I didn't get the wrong link this time.

Edit: Ninja'd.  Damn.

jackpot, coal miner, lil dog

pretty sure robo's coal miner is the same but with weaker weapon motors for side katanas. I think yours would probably be the better of the two though.
Damn you're good.  And I think the swords on R0B0's version were used for catching bots, but I don't exactly remember.  Might look it up later.

Kinda out of the loop here, is Reforged just ReStocked v2 with completely different bots?
Pretty much, but I think it has enough differences to stick out on it's own merits. Hell, I guess you could also call NAR AI 3.1 "Restocked v3 with slightly different bots."  But I digress.

Love #1 so much! Possible to make reach a little better? #2 looks a little plain and possibly long enough to have flank problems. The weapon-breaker/extender protectors on #3 are really interesting but it seems underweaponed; maybe try snapper setup or 2 pinks?
Jackpot is quite scrunched on weight, so that might be tough.  I was thinking of using pinks for Lil' Dog, but I also wanted to get the wedge to help the bot self right and have some power when it's around the two minute mark.

Nothing special.  Two bots have been showcased by with some slight alterations

Basically, it's Mjolnir but with maces instead of razors and a caster, and black extenders.  Everything else is the same though.

Used Metal Muncher's chassis and other things to make an FS with all irons.  It's not too bad.

Found an old chassis and made this wammer.  I haven't tested this yet, but it could do well bear in mind the wedge works and doesn't get the bot halted by the weapons.

Was this Click asking you to do this as an indirect April Fools joke?

Well regardless, it looks fine.  Is it stable in the slightest and doesn't havok all over the place?

972
Oh yeah.  I have Reier's bot ready, but now I'm waiting on GS to kick this match into gear get this going.

And great job with the video quality Geice.  Really, my only criticism is not speeding up moments with dead air, case in point, S_M vs Sage.  Oh, and thanks for using that song in my match.  Really, I appreciate it.

Dude.  That look amazing.  I like that it's like a hybrid of Dead Metal and Shunt.

Oh yeah, I don't know if you remember me saying this, congrats on the AU title.

Cleared up those typos and other errors you guys were quick to point out on.

- though I don't really get the rules (isn't it just three separate tournaments?)
Not really.  It's all one giant team from the three major mods out there.  It's best of three with one round dedicated to each mod.  Round 1 would be Stock, round 2 would be DSL, and Round 3 would be Ironforge.  If you won the rounds from say Stock or Ironforge, you would move on.  I know, it's kinda complex and hard to explain.

Multibot Rules:
There will be some special portion for multibots if you wish to enter them. Here's how it works folks:

  • Bots can weigh differently as long it does not go over the weight limit.

More than one of the below criteria can happen and not penalize you. If once, that bot gets a Free Restart. If Twice, that bot will forfiet the match if any of the folling criteria occurs:

-Havok Restart: The bot does a Havok Explosion which costs the match for it's opponent.
-Second Chance Restart: If the loss was from being pinned, (i.e. getting stuck for a reason) But I will only restart if:

My (Possible) Entries:

tl;dr A tournament with a team with one Stock bot, DSL bot, and Ironforge bot.  Builders may vary.

DSL TC Showcases / Re: SM's DSL off-topic-case
« on: March 30, 2016, 10:35:19 AM »
I think it's mostly the heavier weapons that got a hefty boost.  The hammers are the most noticeable.  Like the 23kg one for example (that one used on ALARM I think).  Those has no normals and are quite useable.

That doesn't look too bad, but it might be very fragile.

I mean, if we have to have it at all, I guess we can just let the members who are mature and trusted by the community to have it and let those who are just using to troll people should just lose it.  But otherwise, I'm fine with it just gone.  Maybe if there were true incentives for positive rep from respected members, then maybe I'd have a reason to stick with it and have a reason to even care for it.
