I CALL FREAKING BS ON THE LOCKJAW vs BRUTUS FIGHT! This active weapon rule has to change into something else. Lockjaw controlled the whole fight and had better controll but was not using the weapon and so it was out. BS Is tell ya!
I freaking agree with absolutely everything you just said. I watched the raw fight this morning and knew Lock-Jaw was in total control of that fight. I know the rules say you must have an active weapon, but did they ever say it must be used? That's incredibly stupid. That's like if Storm 2 were to be disqualified for not using it's arm in it's fight against Firestorm. Viewer base seems to be shrinking rapidly this season. Not looking too good for season 3.
I blame the Olympics. That might be one of the reasons I've heard from Battlebots Update anyway.

I'll give out my predictions and thoughts for the round of 16 as well. Tombstone vs. Brutus (Odds: 7-2) This might be a repeat of Tombstone vs. Witch Doctor, but I don't see Brutus lasting as long as Witch Doctor, and that fight was pretty short. This will come down to Brutus having good protection on the front or not.
Nightmare vs. Beta (Odds 5-4) As much as I love Nightmare, I don't expect Nightmare to get around to the sides of Beta very easily. However, Beta can go crazy with how powerful that weapon is. This will be interesting to watch.
Bite Force vs. Chomp (Odds: 8-1) Chomp is way too unstable to land a decent blow on a bot like Bite Force, and Bite Force can do a good amount of damage. Might not come down to a knockout though.
Mega Tento vs. Yeti (Odds: 7-2) I'll give Tento the benefit of the doubt as they surprised me with the fight against Stinger, but I see Yeti absolutely destroying the ladybug shell and drum in a heartbeat.
Bronco vs. Razorback (Odds: 6-3) From the credits, we saw Razorback using the drum device. So it looks like Bronco is gonna have to focus on good flips and driving.
Minotaur vs. Warhead (Odds: 9-0) Lets face it. Warhead is gonna get absolutely mauled by Minotaur. It'll most likely be fun to watch.
Red Devil vs. Bombshell (Odds: 5-4) Honestly, this is up in the air for me. While Red Devil has a counter for both Bombshell's spinning blade and hammer, but at no point did Bombshell hint at using an interchangeable weapon in previous interviews and such, so they could be hiding something up their sleeve that I don't know about.
Poison Arrow vs Hypershock (Odds 6-3) I love Hypershock. I really do. But I just don't see the fly swatter doing much to the useless fly of Poison Arrow to begin with. Plus Hypershock has those big juicy tires just waiting for Poison Arrow to chew up. inb4 i get scolded for having an opinion again

Any plans on new Flamethrower bots?
Actually, that doesn't sound like a bad idea. Somebody (not that Somebody) toss up a bot type I should build with a flamethrower, and I'll present the attempt bot. Please.

GG dude. And honestly, I kinda enjoyed the match, despite getting beaten it. We both sent in pretty different designs, both were strong, and it didn't focus entirely on a wedge war. Also, I mostly sent in Silver Bullet, about a year old bot, as something to send in quickly as when the thread was public, I went "Oh right. I should probably send in something." and what were you guys using for the wedges? Silver Bullet had trouble self righting while Redrum flipped itself over instantly.
Snapper2s. I don't have a lot of power in the bot, so self-righting itself was going to be a problem. lol Redace's bot is almost a 1:1 copy of this
(Image removed from quote.) 2 pinks, plastic.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE DSL REBORN AI V2.4Everything here SHOULD be good to go, but please report any bugs necessary. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy and have fun with this pack! Click here to download DSL Reborn 2.0Three years ago, I released an AI pack known as DSL Reborn, which was to replace the original AI included in DSL to greatly improve for testing your bots against anything that would be included in most if not all DSL-IRL tournaments. Looking back, while it still accomplishes the goal I made, it does have some flaws with bots that haven't quite benefited from special component packs such as DSC's IRL Components, which is used on 99% of all bots in DSL nowadays. So I decided to remake it all from scratch, and hopefully everything turned out well. From the builds themselves, the new and improved AI that said bots have, and even other aesthetics included to benefit. This pack might even get a patch to even get updated depending on where DSL 2.31/DSL 2.2 CE Update (or Whatever is happening with that update) goes and included for improvements. That being said: Yes, I would feel fine with this pack being included inside that update project if that's still in development, and it might even get an update in that very patch so who knows. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this pack, and thank you all. Hi. ...Yeah, I'm not so good with names. Click here to download the packI bet a few of you guys are aware about this as I have showcased this about a week ago, but here it is. All the bots in this pack were built and skinned by me. Massive Thanks to Thrackerzod for being a cool dude and beta testing this. This is an AI pack where I've rebuilt the first 45 stock bots in DSL 2.2 with an IRL style. I've done my hardest to make them as authentic and accurate to the original as possible. This pack isn't really meant to test how good your bot is but more-so giving you more IRL bots to fight than just replicas. If you want some updated bots that are meant to test how good your bot is, then get something like NAR AI 3.1. NOTE: This will replace any bots in the first 3 slots for the first 15 teams. The Bindings will also override any custom teams that you may have added on from the first few in DSL 2.2, so beware. If you're curious on what the bots will look like once you download them, you can find all of them here. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy the pack. :) Edit: And the expansion pack which adds two new teams which have the remade RA1 Reincarnated team and the Arthrobotics team is released. Click here to download the Expansion PackJust simply copy and paste these files in the current RA2 with your current Reborn AI folder and you should be good to go.

Sure. I'll enter this. Need to think of some really clever duo ideas.
Also, I'd ban meltybrain AI rather than SnS.

BBEANS7 depends if Click is around for that, and judging by how active he is now, that might take a while. It's been ten years since BBEANS has been introduced to the public, so he'll most likely comment about that if he ever comes back.
It also depends on how many people as GTM is not what it was compared to five or six years ago.

Hey thanks man. I appreciate that. To answer some individual parts: (long mega quote post. sorry.) Looks like Trimera is F.I.V.E.S little brother, liking it.
Wasn't intentional, but now I can't unsee that connection. Thanks for that. Also like others mentioned it seems very similar to an earlier bot you built, sadly probably the only way to do such designs. Don't let your hopes get down, and if possible I'd highly suggest entering it again.
Yeah, I lok at it now and think I could have done a lot better with the splash. It was just one of those "dangit why didn't I think of doing that beforehand" sort-of scenarios. And I ain't pulling a Mr. Bones for the latter. I'd like to keep things fresh as possible. Was hoping for it to win. Only negative things about the bot are how it can't move much after the front supports are gone, but that's common for stock angled VS spinner and how the game just had to ruin the texture mapping(seriously RA2? No idea why it looks fine in the components tab, personally I've started making my own ruler(similar to what Starcore v3? has, or doesn't, because it isn't in my dl'd V3) with certain set heights and those don't seem to cause that issue.
It was either that or making it a box with wedges, and I know my luck with wedge wars. I know, not the right place to ask but is there anything which helps with stacking(other than having a big screen size+zooming so you get more precise movement)? For me it's been mostly random so far and stacking Co2 bottles looks like a lot of trouble.
Having a lot of patience helps. Stock is one of those games where you need to be accurate and precise as possible. Also, give yourself some room in the chassis to make it fit easier.

"you must find a partner to team up and fight alongside."
Clearly I can't read. But yeah. Thanks for that. Will get to building soon once this enters signups.

Ace, we got a challenge first I thought? Is the rule only one member per challenge still?
We still do. I'm just gonna challenge him after our match is done.

anyone want to face me at all?
Sure. Assuming it's still Stock MW, then I think we got all the general rules set. Anyone willing to host this at all?

I'm reminded of NFX's Taur for the flipper variant. Nice. I love how you made the nightmare teeth feather-like things.

Yeeeaah, I don't think there is really a reason to run it in 2.1 since 2.2 is out. Other than that. Sure.
Also, will we just be randomly assigned in teams or d we pick our partners? I feel the answer is obvious, but the OP doesn't really state it.

any chance that the bot will be available for download/view of the insides? I've been trying to do a vertical spinner but having trouble with the floor height.
Thanks but RA2(using 1.4) always crashes on import, am I missing the smartzones pack?
Yeah, it's using Mad's smartzones. There should be a download somewhere on the forum (I'm too lazy to look for it on mobile ), that might be the issue. Also, we are getting a bit off-topic, let's discuss this somewhere more appropriate. Oh, as for a grudge match, can my bot go up against Disappointment Trike?
