I'm going for Ironforge.  Mainly because there hasn't been much for that lately.  Also, 2.2's metagame is just broken as hell, and IRL means I have to take the tournament seriously.

I have now received 09's bot.  It's accepted, AI'd, and ready to go.

But before I get to recording, the start points hate stilt-bot things and love to have bots clip through the floor at the start of the match, so I'm gonna go fix those so that doesn't happen.  Don't worry, I should have a match ready to go soon.

Edit: Got the arena all set, and I'll record and edit sometime tomorrow.

Just to remind everyone who is in this, I haven't received any bots yet.  And yes kix, you need to send the bot for the challenge to the host.  In this case, it's me.  This way the person hosting won't be rigged by any of the challengers.

For a grudge match, could you do both of my bots against VooDoo pleas?.

I formally request that you disqualify Meganerdbomb's HW. The name is absolutely unacceptable.

it's your metagame, it's not like he can really refuse. checkmate, yugitom.
>implying AS was actually serious

Anyway, some good looking bots here in the Retooled section.  Not sure how the Retooled meta works, but I expect this to be a lot of fun.

Let's see what we have here:

sp00ky: Okay, I can just barely make out what's going on, and even then, this thing is just a mess.  While my bets are on Wen made this, it seems unlikely.
scary: Not sure who built this, but it's pretty meh overall.  Like the concept, but the execution isn't the best.
Skeletons: dem groucho marx glasses tho.  I don't even care if Thrack re-entered it again, it's... probably the best thing here in my opinion.
Send: I see Chris-san 090901 has been pretty busy.  Unfortunately, this seems very out of place here as it really isn't Halloween themed in the slightest.
Shivers: Good attempt, but with a messy execution and bland splash, it doesn't really work.  Mystic has probably built this, judging by the style.
Down your spine: Seems like a Mr. AS bot, and it's the most forced meme-bot, but damn it's a good one though.

Holy bananas.  This is probably the fastest tournament to ever reach full entrants since BBEANS6.  Now I'm really glad that I made it in once I got home (with a skin update to boot).  Well, good luck everybody!

Been a while since I did predictions, so here they are:

My Metal Onii-Chan: Seems pretty quick, but weaponry feels a tad light.  Could go either way.

Hakuna Katana: wtf s_m Looks dangerous, but I fear the drive may get ripped off easily with it being on stilts.

Danksy Banksy: Doubt this can flip much, as they seem weak.  Not to mention, the arms being wide out there in the open, they'll just get sheared off.

Tornado: This is actually kinda dangerous from my testing, but I didn't have very accurate testing since I had to use bots from SCv4 and all that.

Avalanche: Not a whole lot of weaponry and exposed drive.  This could spell doom.

Grog, the Big Boned: Seems pretty tough and can toss a lot of bots.  Might be worth keeping an eye on this one.

Ronin: I'd worry about the extenders for the drive being out there in the open.  Other than that, looks pretty tough.

BEAR: Could probably cause a lot of harm, but if anything gets to it's backside, I don't think this will last long.

DEADBEAT: Another good looking trapper, but still looks pretty fragile.  This one could go either way as well.

Freezing Iceberg: Looks like it flop around like a fish, but it could probably take a lot of hits as well with the big chassis.  Not sure on how it will do.

Jihad john the robbot: Seeing as it's pretty much Emergency with a sexy paintjob, It might be an annoyance and/or a bot that's decent thanks to the arena.

ALARM: Looks pretty tough, but also seems a tad underweaponed.

SaberTooth: Mixed bag here as there is some dangerous weaponry in the front, the drive is unprotected as all hell.

Big Dog: It's as good as a "ByeBot" needs to be and as good as a pusher needs to be.

Overall, mixed bag.  Got some entrants that look good, look weird, and entrants that look like hard counters for my entrant.  Good luck folks.

Seems alright, why not?  I got a bit of free time on the weekend this time, I might be able to cook something up here.

triple post bump seriously help

Guess what this is cloning, I dare you.  Seriously, that bot is one of my all time favorites.  I love how the wedges adapt to the opponent it's facing and how many times it's faced it to learn from previous matches.  The wedges on this thing are actually pretty good, surprisingly.  Some matches here did take a few tries (AI'd by the way), but overall, better luck than I thought I had.

Thermite made it into a good number of events. Wow.
Damn, times just have to change, do they?  I've been meaning to remake that thing anyway, just to see if I can make something way better than that 3 year-old thing.

House robots are "best come best serve" not "first come first serve".
Okay then, with that in mind...

2498.2 kg, Tite 3 or 5 IIRC, Almost everything is using DSC's steel extenders (which are amazing, thanks for doing that).  I just wish I could come up with a better name.  Croco sounds stupid in my opinion.

Gee I wonder what this thing is for...

I know it's the retro splash, but I like this style more anyway.

And if you just want to see the bot without the text in the way:

I mean, it's essentially a Witch Doctor/Brutus style bot, but I just wanted to find a use for the Minion disc... and see if it was as overpowered as everyone says it is.  I know I'm late to the party and I even wanted to make a house robot, but it seems all the slots are filled.  Might make one on Saturday and see if I can do anything with it in the end.
