That tiny weapon may make it difficult to inflict sufficient damage...
Those tiny weapons are called Typhoon teeth, They can do ungodly amounts of damage, he put the teeth on an extender/BFE'd them in to make them smaller, and when the vertical spinner gets under its opponents, it Gutrips, much similar to that of a popup

I like tyhoon teeth.

It would be cool to see some Arenas made for smaller weight classes such as antweights or beetleweights,
Pretty sure that exists
There's an AW arena in DSL, but it looks like crap IMO. A bit more variety would be nice. Maybe an AW version of the RW2016 arena, with smaller dimensions and less powerful hazards (so the floor flipper doesn't just yeet them out of the arena).
That's a good idea!

why not just flippers and a pit?

I can tell you from experience it absolutely does not

I should try that.

Ah. did it fight in Robot Wars?
Cassius never appeared in Robot Wars after series 3
Basically because the owner of the bot boycotted RW's safety procedures because people were getting injured too often

That's never good. BattleBots has safety procedures that automatically ban bots that boycott safety procedures.

Small arena's annoying. That big crusher makes it not a fun arena to fight in.
EXCEPTION- disable hazards.

Hey, is there a step-by-step guide to building working arenas for RA2?

III. Remember- IRL- In Real Life. Use a disk that doesn't intersect the chassis. I used a saw. Extender holding the twm on is Titanium.
Hate to say it dude but this thing isn't remotely IRL. The way that weapon motor is totally exposed and not really supported doesn't fit with the IRL ruleset. What you got here is a standard bot.

The FBS certainly looks better than the last one you built, but again I really can't see WHY it needs to have 1WD. You'd gain so much by having proper drive and wouldn't lose much at all in the way of weaponry. You also still have too many batteries. 1 of those black batts is sufficient for 2 motors like you have on it

I think of TWM3Rs that are exposed as gearboxes. Okay, I have an idea for a Disk IRL WS. It looks like Tombstone.
Again, I see your point about batteries, but WS are different. You realize WS can't nearly put in as many hits on an opponent as an original opponent can in a single battery charge. An extra battery allows WS to deliver more powerful damage.

I will definitely look into single-battery WS, though.

Here's the rebooted IRL MW WS...

Building a smooth-running WS

I. Chassis as shown. Armor is 5 mm. Titanium.

II. Twm3r2 up all the way.

III. Add the spinner. There are a total of 9 small typhoon teeth on this bot.

screenshot_3.bmp

IV. WIRING- drive rotates counterclockwise, weapon motor rotates clockwise.

V. To get rid of extra weight, add LEDs. They look cool on this WS.

VI. DONE!

Batteries, lol.

Magdum_batteries.PNG

Magdum (another brand I made up) produces rechargeable batteries designed for robot combat.

Magdum's ECO and MicroBurst battlepacks are basically small cellular batteries wrapped in tough bendable metal.

The ECO battery is the efficient battery you need for small drive trains. Wired in parallel, this battery has 4.5v cells, each with 10amp. hours wired together. The voltage stays the same, but the longevity is multiplied by 5- 50 amp. hours at 4.5v.
ECOs are commonly used in large numbers due to their low voltage.

The MicroBurst is the exact opposite. It uses the same 4.5v cells, but the voltage is multiplied instead of the amp hours because it's wired in series. These batteries produce anywhere from 6- 28v- 10 amp. hours at 27.5v.

The Magdum 6v battery (the tall one) is basically cutting a Magdum 12v in half. It's a solid SLA battery, coated in light, non-conductive aluminum.

The Magdum 12v battery is the best choice for combat robots. It has the same longevity and voltage as 2 Magdum 6v batteries, but weighs 3/4 the weight of 2 Magdum 6v batteries. Uses SLA. (Sealed Lead Acid)

Here's all the components I've made so far...

If Im being honest I dont think tutorials are needed. From the internals of the bot it looks incredibly simple. If someone wants too copy your design then they can simply look at the internals. This whole teaching people how to make your bot seems a little redundant seeing as how you told us you wanted to stop bots from being clones. This isnt to meme on you, I just wanted to give help this time.

It may be easy to you guys, but for people new to RA2, It's not a bad idea.
No it is pretty simple. I think any player could figure this out honestly

...except maybe me...

Trying to add texture on a 4k skin is not that easy, also i gotta say that my skinning is bad

Oh, I feel yout pain. That’s why I use tough armor like 10 mm. Steel, and paint the chassis. I only use extenders where I need them.

Another pain- skinning a component changes the exact look of that component on ALL your bots.

Okay. The reason why I try different bot styles is because I see too many clones. I look through THE best bot concepts and I see- generic, generic, generic, generic. I just want to try something different.

Scrap Daddy, there are 2 pokers like Insectoid in 2.0. One has already beem built, and the other is being worked on. Those are the improvements you’re seeing.

Wandering spinners need a slightly large chassis in order to be stable or... they’ll havok. Reason why normal HS can be built super-thin? They have two wheels- enough stability for the bot. Because typical WS only have one wheel, stability is a challenge.

One wheeled WS can use snappers. Disk WS can’t because they’ll enter spikeball mode.

You’re absolutely right about the extanders- they do look crappy.

On the other hand, a disk WS can be built just like a normal HS with the concept of a tight chassis.

Great concept, but that paint job is a blur of red. Try adding edge textures.

You guys seriously need to stop getting so ass blasted. This is a showcase and you're acting immature. Badniks sassy butt hurtedness still cracks me up tho because I can picture him furiously typing this sh** up.

Like I said before red alert, the haters love you and don't wanna see you win. I've already seen bots here with better concepts than anything badnik has built and you're enthusiasm for stock makes me happy. You're gonna be an all time great one day, kid, I see the potential.

Weight and efficiency is very important in stock, especially in the lower weight classes. Whenever you build a bot, take a look at your setups and see if you can use less extenders and connectors and what not. You've already mostly grasped the concept of chassis management, this is the next step.

I'd like to see you revisit the HW poker/Insectoid bot. Take the advice Pwnator suggested and try and make it better. That build alone shows me you can improve.

You got it. Honestly, there are 2 insectoid pokers already in 2.0.
