A lotta these bots are pretty similar to the previous bots youve made. Try diversifying your designs to give each bot a sense of individuality.

Used some of the spare weight to go to regular smalls for the bursts instead of Vsmalls, and also added a couple more batts for insurance.

Those are great! What CAD did you use?
I think Hoppin uses Tinkercad to model, before rendering the model on 3DS Max
Not like I've ever said it on page 1 or anything. Damm, these just look great! could we see Hop bots IRL Ive really wanted to try and get into doing CAD but never known how where to start with it
I'm using tinkercad for mine, then rendering it in Fusion 360.

I learned much from my first tournament i do, so I plan to do a Nature Wars 2!
Rules are nearly the same but i will be much more strict with the nature theme of this tournament!
Rules: (Changed rules are thiccc)
DSL 2.2 CW IRL Tournament.
BOTS MUST BE NATURE ORIENTED! (LIKE PLANTS AND CREATURES... or bugs :3)
Format: 1 Entry per user 16 Entrys limit Bfe, objra2, and ra2cf allowed for realism Arena will be a reskinned Robo Games arena (like last time ) Double elimination best of 1 and loosers bracket
I won't enter I can AI but you can send your own AI too If You make a special bot (example: tazbot style bot, walker bot) then AI it by yourself Clusterbots and are ok Modular bots aren't allowed anymore Weaponspam isn't allowed Fullbody- and Shell spinner need to show specific speed for getting accepted (Preventing sit and hit bots) I will check the bots Fights will be 3 minutes long If the fight lasts 3 minutes, there will be a judges decision Judging points: Damage- 5 points Control- 3 points Aggresion- 3 points Havoks and Crashes will cause a restart, when it crashes or havoks more than 3 times, crash patch will be turned on!
SnS and thwackbots are banned EternalFlame.py is banned Only flat motors, overkill servos and hworf blades are allowed in cheatbot2 Custom skinned components are ok but custom components aren't. IRL packs are allowed
You can update your bot 1 time till SBV, skinchanges included When you want to change your AI, please dont change like 5 times! Thanks!

I will do big rigs in 2018, there is no chance of me getting the mega host in 2018 so i will just postpone Big Rigs till 2019.
This is a Totalitarian Tournament. This is suppose to prove the disadvantages of Totalitarianism. There will be super strict rules in this tournament. Hopefully after this tournament, you will all understand the disadvantages of Totalitarianism and rules, and understand the advantages of Anarchism. Today is voting here in the United States,so i hope you do not vote totalitarian. Soon after this i will do an anarchist tournament to show the advantages of anarchism.
All Robots Must weigh under 400 KG. All Robots must be made in Stock with no modifications. No custom parts. No Rule of 7, no hacks at all. Just out of the box stock. THere will be no more than 16 competitors, do not PM me if you were late. If when i log on, I get 2 PMS for the 16th bot, THe 1st PM wins. If not enough people sign up, this will show how little you all like rules. No cheatbot 2 IRL No bad stuff against your government. No Late entries, Even if your a second late, I will not accept you, this is a privilege only anarchists get. I Will do all AI, if you dont like it, too bad, this is a privilege only anarchists get, not people who like rules. No names of other countries on your bot, no painting of other country's flag or maps on your bot. Same reason as above. No stuff that would not be allowed on TV on your bot. If your bot crashes my game on import or in a fight, it will be rejected. I can reject a robot for any other reason. Once rejected, unless i say otherwise you are kicked out of the tournament. No Hidden Parts My Bot is the one listed above. Vote YES if you like rules, or if you dislike rules and want to show how rules fail or if you just want something to laugh at. Vote NO, if you like rules but are just proving my point and do not want to see your system fail. Registration is exactly 4 weeks starting when i get the this tournament on the road.
Tell me what country you are from so i know what propaganda to put near your bot.
In sign ups. Etc

right so i had this idea, see
the idea is that people don't play stock because dsl is the new hotness and they see stock as this super advanced meta where newbies can't break in because it takes too much effort
so my thought was, why doesnt someone do a stock tournament designed exclusively for stock rookies, to help them get started and improve as time goes on?
General Rules: -Stock MW -maximum of 32 entries, though the tournament will start with 16 if interest is low -One entrant per person to start (more on that later)
Building rules: -General stock rules apply. -Your robot must weigh between 389.0 and 399.0 kg. -Usage of BFE, AAM, Hax Mode, and CF (Including RO7 Break) are prohibited. -Cheatbot2 parts are banned, with the exception of the Flamethrower. -Robots must have two powered wheels minimum, and the robot must exhibit controlled movement. -Multibots are allowed, provided they are of similar weight (no distraction bots) -Modular robots are not allowed. -Melty-brain style AI is not allowed. -You can update your entry once and only once. -Any attempt to find a "loophole" in these rules will get you barred from the tournament permanently.
Match Rules: -2 minute time limit -1v1 battles, best of 3 -Matches will take place in the GTMCS2 arena, likely reskinned -If a match-altering havok explosion occurs, the match will be restarted, and a penalty will be given to the robot which most likely caused the havok. If a robot earns two penalties, it will be disqualified from the match. -The bracket will be single elimination.
Entry limitations: -This tournament is restricted to those who have little to no stock experience, or are still learning how to build stock efficiently. Experienced stock builders will be barred from entry.
The goal of this tournament is to help newcomers and inexperienced players learn how to play stock, and work to improve and become skilled in a new, relatively unexplored area of RA2, at least in this day and age.
When the tournament starts, each robot will have its internals posted alongside its outer skin, allowing more experienced builders to critique each robot and give the builders advice on how to make them better. Following the first tournament, a second signup phase will open, allowing builders to go back, improve their robots, and also to let in any newcomers who missed the first signup phase. This will go for three rounds minimum.
I hope this has a positive reception, because I think a lot of people pass off stock as "something they can never do" despite all the skilled builders this forum really has. This is a chance to unlock some new, untapped potential! Go wild!
Go away it's 3am

GG Hop. Honestly like 75% of this challenge was just the mental game of trying to predict what the other person was gonna use. Figured Hop was gonna use a vert so I went for an overhead, but obviously he predicted my prediction(: :). Once I learned what Hop had entered I fully expected to be straight up unable to hit his bots, which I turned out to be able to, which was neat, but other than that it went pretty much how I expected. Cheers Bild again for hosting this sh**show. I'm sure all the hair you've ripped out will grow back quickly
Repeat this tbh GG TR, kinda saw that one once we knew whats what

Barricade mk 4. [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
You still have 50kg to use to reach the CW limit. Probably would invest that in using front plates. Looks cool tho despite it being all brown
