Boy it's been a LOOOOOOOONG ass time since I posted in here, buit I'm glad to announce that I've finally re-AIed all the bots after initially losing all the AI. Will be recording the fights some time in the very near future (Not giving an exact date because you should know full well by now that I can't stick to them  )

I was really surprised that I actually managed to get it in weight given that it has the same flipper power and isn't all that much smaller than the HW version, but lo and behold I managed it

A missed opportunity in naming it Epee or Foil. Still it’s so damn nice!
I was thinking more cavalry sabre than fencing sabre when I made Sabre originally, though I may keep those two names in mind for the future Looks great, I think I might like it more than Sabre
Especially the use of those wheels, you made them fit in surprisingly well!
Yeah it all panned out pretty much exactly how I was hoping. I'm normally not a fan of wheels with a bunch of texture to them but I think they work fairly well here for some reason.

It's been a long time since I did the first MW version of Sabre, and Sabre has changed a lot since then, so I figured it was high time to do an updated MW version in case another MW + HW father and son tournament happens (also because I was bored, wanted to build something other than an HW and Sabre is my favourite bot I've built ) Here's the result. 397KG and I think it looks pretty damn good for it. Storm burst for the weapon and 2 TWMRs for drive so it actually has the same flipper power as the HW sabre but in a bot that weighs half as much. Armour is a combination of steel at the very front and Alu everywhere else.

That's pretty sweet. Is the scoop on a burst or is it just static? An HW version with a powered scoop and a rear flywheel instead of a static saw would be awesome.

I swapped it to my "classic" colour scheme and I think it actually looks a fair bit better. Also did a little nit of work to clean up some of the messier areas so it doesn't look quite so terrible up close. You can't see it but I also upped the armour in a couple of spots so it doesn't disintegrate quite so easily.

It's been a while since I built a front hinged flipper (by my standards at least ) so I figured I'd have a crack at one. Here's the result. 4 wheel drive with 2 NPC fasts and 2 TWMR drives so it's pretty damn nippy, and the flipper is powered by 2 VDMA front hinged bursts, which is the same as Bocuma, my most successful front hinge. Armour is largely aluminium other than the front which is steel, and by some stroke of luck the weight comes out at 800KG dead on. Will likely be sending this for DE3.

Looks nice - always been a sucker for black and gold. The square weapon supports are a bit odd and bulky, but it helps the bot be original, I guess.
In other news, I personally wanna thank you for your file naming convention - putting "ext" at the end helps me differentiate between extenderbot and chassis-focused, especially when in some cases it's quite hard to tell. Thanks for that!
I kinda agree with you on the supports, but I'm not really sure how to change them. Since I took the screenshot I switched from the small 3 toothed disc here to a larger 2 tooth affair which I think has helped a bit looks wise. Also the ext suffix in my file naming scheme actually means Exterior/externals, but I'm glad it's helping you out, so I'll aim to refrain from putting it on what few chassis focused bots I make  It is a good design. But I think the disk looks too small compared to the supports

It's been a while since I built anything that was supposed to be even remotely effective so I thought I'd change that. Here's Spirit of Fire. A pretty run-of-the-mill VS with 3 small typhoon teeth, dual NPC fast drive, a perm 132 for the weapon and a big tanky steel wedge up front. Also has a srimech powered by a slow mag and looks at least somewhat not-terrible. 10 cool points if you know what the name is from.

Damn that was a close one. When 09 outwedged me at the beginning I thought I was toast. Glad Raiden was able to prove its worth against a full weight HW opponent too. My luck so far this tournament has been pretty crazy to not lose a fight yet so I hope I can ride that luck out to the end.
