why not have unlimited entries instead of 16
Because with the format of the tournament, unlimited entries would absolutely make everything a nightmare to keep track of and it would just take forever to get through.

Edit: I have received a bot from WenXiangLee, and it's accepted.

Signups are now open!

I've give everyone until the 19th of December.  I'll extend anything if needed.

Yeah, what wakky said.

Also, I'm planning on opening signups tomorrow morning or on Sunday.  Just to get my copy of RA2 fresh and ready.

Edit: New name and logo is up, the Arenas are reskinned and the previews are also up.  Let's get this show on the road.

what exactly does "safe player" mean?
Any survivors that have won their battle beforehand and ghosts.

Okay, so I got a different mini-game instead of the Emergency one:

BOXES:

- Once signups are full, I will PM everyone beforehand on a box to choose beforehand.
- Victims will be fighting one of 16 different AW boxes with wheels.
- These battles will have no time limit
- The arena used will be the Small Arena (Reskinned)
- If you are a safe player, then you will have inserted a bomb inside, if you are not a safe player, then you will have chosen a box to fight.
- If the victims choose a box, they'll die.

If people prefer this mini-game, then I will replace it.

Also, glad to hear people are wanting to enter.  Guess I'll get myself busy in my Thanksgiving break.

It sounds like a cool off shoot of Robotica and RoboZone.

"If you ALL beat EMERGENCY, then everyone dies."
That's not fair. Shouldn't at least somebody win? (Or at least Somebody?)
Yeah I agree with this, expecting someone to lose to emergency is pretty far-fetched. Maybe do it on time or points?
Yeah, I wasn't sure on this part and I wanted to avoid making three or four mini-games that are essentially the same thing.  I'm all for suggestions for improvements or a completely new one all together.

Also, I just noticed that I forgot to add the meltybrain ban.  Will make these changes now.

Quote
As for my next tournament... well, I'm probably not gonna do one.

I'm a dirty liar.

GENERAL RULES:
- Stock Middlewight
- 16 Entrants
- One entrant per person, but in the event that signups are going slow, I will allow people to send a second bot.
- I'm willing to AI if you are not able to, but don't complain what I AI'd your bot or you will disqualified automatically (It will not change once the SBV thread is up.)
- You cannot enter unless your bot is received and accepted.
- I won't be entering as I will building some bots for the minigames (See Minigame Rules for more details).

BUILDING RULES:
- General stock rules apply
- Middleweight bots only (249.1 - 399.0 kg)
- You cannot use BFE, AAM, Hax, txt file editing, etc.
- The Rule of 7 Break is allowed.
- AI parts are allowed, including the 140 cm extender.
- The only cheatbot2 part that is allowed is the Flamethrower.
- The only custom components that are allowed are from 090901's and/or Sage's Skin Pack and Madiaba's Smart Zones.
- Smart Zones will not count toward weight, but you cannot use them to act as a ballast
- Bots must have two wheels minimum.
- Crawlers and Multibots are banned.
- Bots will not be AI'd with Meltybrain tactics.
- Interchangeable weapons and forms along with Multibots are banned.
- I recccomend bots that are the best of your ability, so Jokebots, replicas, IRL style bots, etc. are allowed, but bear in mind that you will be at a severe disadvantage.
- You can make an update once and only once (The only exception if it's a skin change or anything minor).
- If an updated bot is illegal, then I will use the original bot you sent me.

MATCH RULES:
- 2 minute length battles
- 1 vs. 1 Battle Format
- Best of 1
- Main Battles will take place in the Trauma Pit
- If a bot does a Havok Explosion which costs the match for it's opponent, that said bot will get a free restart, if this happens again, that bot will be disqualified.
- Matchups will be randomized each Round in 1-on-1 Matches.
- You will earn the amount of points that you had at the end of every match.
- The Winners of the matches will sit on the sidelines, and earn an additional 10000 points.  The losers will have to fight for their life in a mini-game.
- Survivors and Ghosts will fight among each other in their own respective groups.
- Whoever has the most amount of points in their respective group will sit out for one round.
- The last bot standing will advance to the final round (See Final Round rules).

Minigame Rules
Losers will have to try to survive in the various mini-games.  If you do badly at the mini-games, then I'll kill you, and then you become a ghost (Ghosts can stil win the game, so don't give up hope).  Here are the mini-games you will have to fight each other in:

GREED:
This will be the first mini-game

- You will be battling a bot in the shape of a safe.
- These battles will have no time limit.
- The arena used will be the Containment Cube (Reskinned, Hazards off).
- The goal is to destroy the safe, but if you score the most or the least amount of points, and you'll be sorry.

SUMO:

- You will be battling a HW 8-Wheel Drive Rammer
- These battles will have a one minute time limit
- The arena used will be the Tabletop Arena.
- Whoever lasts in the shortest time, or beats the rammer in the longest time will die.

CRAWLER:

- You will be battling a MW Crawler
- These battles will have a one minute time limit
- The arena used will be the RA2T2 Official Tournament Arena (Reskinned)
- If you don't beat the crawler in any way, then I'll kill you.

- If the victims choose a box that has a bomb in it, they'll die.

KING OF THE HILL:

- This will be a four player minigame, and everyone will face each other in a 4-way rumble.
- These battles will have a one minute time limit
- The arena used will be the LumaZone (Reskinned)
- Whoever scores the least amount of points in the match, you die.

DOUBLE TROUBLE:

- You will face off against two lightweights.
- These battles will have a two minute time limit
- The arena used will be the Containment Cube (Reskinned, Hazards off).
- If you lose to the lightweights, then you die.

BLOOD BROTHERS:

- You will face off against MW Multibot Popups.
- These battles will have a two minute time limit
- The arena used will be the Containment Cube (Reskinned, Hazards off).
- If they beat you in the shortest time, or you beat them in the longest time, your blood will be spilled.

SLAUGHTERHOUSE:

- You will face off against a bot surrounded in an extender cage.
- These battles will have a two minute time limit
- The arena used will be the Small Arena (Reskinned)
- The goal is to tear off as many extenders of the cage as possible.  If you tear off the least amount of extenders, there will be consequences.

CHAIN REACTION:

- You will face off against 3 AWs, 3 BWs, 3 LWs, and 3 MWs.
- These battles will have a one minute time limit
- The arena used will be the Robo Zone 2 Arena (Reskinned)
- You will face each bot, 1-on-1, and if you win, you will advance to the next bot, with each bot getting gradually harder to beat.
- If you beat the least amount of bots then you will suffer.

SURVIVAL:
This will be the last minigame if two or more bots remain withing 10 rounds.

- You will face off against a SHW HS.
- These battles will will have a one minute time limit.
- The arena used will be the Containment Cube (Reskinned, Hazards off).
- The order of who will fight the HS first will be based on your scores.
- If you fail to survive or beat the HS, you die.
- This process will continue until there is one bot left.

Final Round Rules:
Once one bot is left standing, then they must escape alive.  Here's how this will work:

- These battles will take place in the Ring Arena (Reskinned)
- There will be a two minute time limit
- The lone survivor must beat all of the ghosts to escape.
- The matchup order will be determined by the scores from the previous rounds, from lowest will fight first, highest will fight last.
- Ghosts will have 3 chances in lives to beat the survivor, if the ghosts loses all three lives, then they are out, permanently.
- If a ghost manages to beat the survivor, then they can steal the body and they get a chance to escape.
- Whoever is the previous survivor will also lose a life depending on how many they had before they turned into a ghost.
- The last bot standing will escape and win the game.

In case anyone is a tad unfamiliar with what exactly this is inspired by, then take a look at this video as an example.

Hello everybody.  Yugi has given me the responsibility of posting the remaining matches of the first round of the Stock Division.  Long story short, he has some life issues or something getting in the way.

Here's the last of Stock Round 1:

Scorpio vs. Jonzu95
Mr. AS vs. whrysj
RedlineM203 vs. MassimoV
JoeBlo vs. R1885
Geice vs. Mouldy
ty4er vs. Craaig

There's a few matches where the framerate is terribly choppy, and I'd like to apologize in advance.  Still new to OBS, trying to experiment with the quality and all that.

i'd love to put these in the op, but i can't.  yugi pls

Do not post multiple bots in one post. This means that if you post a single bot, we will give you detailed advice on how to improve it. Posting numerous bots in one post leads to people not giving you good advice and generally making small comments on 1 of them.
Eh, this showcase was on page two, so I need to make up for that somehow.

First Wild Card Rally entrant.  I thought this would do much better than my other one, but it still did pretty good regardless.

The other WCR entrant.  I was pretty proud that it made it far, and that the deflector form worked better than I imagined.

The Survival tournament entrants.  I was somewhat proud of this team, except for the contrast of the weapon on the MW.

Death Battle (which is nowhere near as good as it was before just pointing that out oh sorry i went off on a tangent) Entrant.  13 Black/RotatoR style bot.  Probably could've spent more time on the logo and make it feel more creative, but I didn't have an idea, nor the time to mess around to the point where I will miss out to something less interesting or tryhard-ish.

Nothing too special here.  Just a skin update on Agent Orange which you will see in GTMRW.

Just some bot I had lying around.  Nothing special.

Another bot I had lying around.  I guess it works since Halloween is close by.

I'll admit, I've lost my touch.  Good thing I plan on retiring from bot building by the end of the year, cause I'll probably lose every bit of creativity as I lose free time.

Agent Orange - What happend to RedAce and his bulding skills? This must be the worst looking bot coming from you.
:(

Got a slight chance assuming Fusion Reactor doesn't go after me first.

Maybe the angle is kinda weird, but the CB + Black stack on Duality is kinda odd looking.

Guess it doesn't matter that much, still looks cool.
