Well, I don't know how to get Z-Teks in my stock bot, or to snapper load so I can save on extender and chassis space. It use DSA though.

Site News and Feedback / Re: awards« on: September 20, 2018, 12:19:28 AM »
This makes me wonder. Should we add more serious awards that are not just BOTM, GTMCS, or a joke award. Awards like a medal for winning a yearly vote or for reaching certain milestones, like hosting certain amounts of tournament, are good

Discussion / Re: What do you record RA2 with« on: September 20, 2018, 12:17:06 AM »
Bandicam, since it has a very good recording performance, and using OBS on my laptop caused the output to be showed as different frames, rather than one smooth video, as my computer's hardware performance is not enough for that. The Quarterfinals of Robot Emperor is a proof of what I mean

Stock Showcases / Re: AntBot's Bots Showcase« on: September 18, 2018, 04:16:12 AM »Pulso would technically be a cruiserweight (for which the limit is 600kg), but Hammerstein is absurdly underweight. You should either bulk it up to cruiserweight, or shave some weight off and see if you can make it a middleweight instead. honestly if youre looking for realism i'd just go use dsl. stock's components are too limited to do anything fun with unless you're really good (like thyrus)Talking about IRL building in DSL, it's also mandatory for you to use DSC's IRL Pack and Serge's RA2CF, just saying 605
Modifications / Re: Sonny Resetti AI Mod (Released!)« on: September 17, 2018, 02:27:33 AM »I don't have the pack, but you have to generally use low when there is a very thin chassis part, that will happen when you use the Trov Glitch or model the thin part intentionally on CAD and then importing the CAD to OBJRA2. Same case with the 2.2 BioHazard repTurn graphics to low. 606

Stock Showcases / Re: Superbomb122's Stock CF Showcase feat. IRL« on: September 15, 2018, 11:40:49 PM »DISCLAIMER: I am not, nor ever will be, a skilled stock unrealistic builder. This showcase is for robots made to look like something you would see at a real event. I do use DSL, and I do realize that basically every Stock bot is made to beat Starcore AI's and so on. Please, remember I do not play to build those. Thank you.Pretty cool stock rep. You should enter those stock IRL bots in Banter Wars btw once they open a sign up for a new season 609
Online Battles / Re: Online match videos« on: September 15, 2018, 11:39:44 PM »these looked fun i should start using IF to have shot at entering oneI can try lending you my LW entry for Challenge Belt for you to test drive in an online match if you want Also, cool battles. Will be better though if it's DSL and IRL 610
Custom Components Showcase / Re: Pay Tribute With Replicas« on: September 15, 2018, 11:37:51 PM »Some robots will be impossible to AI so instead Ill just use parsec with one of my friends probably. You use Parsec. Wish you luck and hope that a DSL-IRL tourney that uses Parsec will happen in NA. And cool reps. Though I wish the arm on Bronco is longer and the dragon head on SawBlaze more detailed. Also, are that reskinned panels on the Bronco rep? 611
DSL TC Showcases / Re: Kaiser112183's DSL Showcase« on: September 15, 2018, 09:15:43 AM »I've decided to update my showcase! Be as critical (or complimentary) as you see fit. Sorry about the lazy-ish editing on the images, and SOON I will master the art of skinning the chassis/components.They both look pretty cool. Doesn't like how the drive motors can be seen with the bar configuration on the second bot though 612

IRL stuffs during and after mid test, and not making the MW version of OverChopper for this yet 613

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Billy's DSL Showcase Build and Try« on: September 12, 2018, 05:07:09 AM »
Made another bot. This time, it's a fix to HexaVortex, and I can finally make it work
My only gripe with that is the ground clearance, as I can't find a perfect combonation of wheels and casters while playing it safe, as in having the wheels really touch the ground and the casters not being raised up. Also the wrongly aligned skin too 617
Ironforge TC Showcases / Billy's Ironforge Build and Try« on: September 08, 2018, 09:04:10 AM »
Welcome to my Ironforge showcase. Like with my Stock showcase, this will only showcase tourney, challenge, and BOTM bots. For my first bot, it's a spinner that can be moved with a servo. It's named Movercut, and it's a LW for Reier's Centauri rental, and challenge belt where it will be slightly modified. The design is meant to allow the driver to smack opponents by moving the spinner hen they are on the side, while having the wedge be on the same location. Unfortunately, at max speed, it becomes janky to drive due to physics, as the spinner jerks around. Also, one ballast is used on the bot. Armor, meanwhile, is 3mm alu

Stock Showcases / Billy's Stock Build and Try« on: September 08, 2018, 08:27:12 AM »
Welcome to my stock showcase. Since I'm not a fan of stock, I will only post bots that are for tourneys, challenges, and BOTM's. So, here is my first stock HW, entered in Revolution 3, Overpop. It is a HW popup. Though I'm too lazy to improve on it. Will do once I get the motivation to do it, like another tourney.
Also, LW for this month's challenge belt will come soon 619

General Support / Re: dsl and robot wars mod« on: September 06, 2018, 05:48:07 PM »Given in the tournament I ran before, Robot Emperor, someone tried to send an IRL bot with RWRA2 parts, and I didn't accept because I didn't have RWRA2 back then and it's OP, does that mean it's possible to move RWRA2 components, into DSL, but it's not as easy as just copy pasting component filesIs there a way to combine both of these mods so that is doesnt break on or the other? Is it even worth doing so balance wise? I know nothing about how to mod this game beyond creating textures lol so it might be a dumb question, just though it would be cool?It would mean separating a lot of components and replacing them through bfe so the robots work on normal DSL. Unless you know exactly what you're doing, it's hard and will take a lot of effort even if you do. |
