Dumb question but...
How do I export bots/where are they located?

Second Question:
At the moment the game is suffering from a bug that causes robots to die instantaneously.  What will you do if a robot is prone to causing this bug?
Horizontal Grabbers in particular are a serious offender of this.

bots are saved here by default for me:

C:\Users\James\AppData\LocalLow\Nerd Island Studios LLC\Robot Rumble 2.0

As for the swiftly dying bots, I have been experimenting, and it seems like the chassis has hitpoints, and the amount of damage weapons do could be unbalanced af atm. That's just my theory, though.
If there is a robot that is meant to use bugs for an advantage, I will not allow it into the tournament.

Submit your robots! Don't be shy. I've literally gotten just one person, so I obviously need more submissions. I've been hoping to get around 40, but right now I only have 15, and only 2 of them aren't mine, so please send in some bots soon. I'm hoping to start the tournament in 2 weeks.

I can't wait to see what Tantrum can do! One of my dark horses this year, along with Subzero and WARhawk.

For me, I like both designs a lot, but I feel like GB's color scheme is a bit wack. It also looks like more of a bird than barracuda. I still like it, but I'm gonna have to give my vote to Corruption.

1) I like it a lot. It looks like one of Orc's designs, as he seems to have a fetish for crocs. (Jk)
2) the design was nice until the anime got slapped onto it. I personally feel like anime and robot combat should never be mixed, but that's just my opinion.

1) mine, so I'm not gonna say anything about it.
2) looks awesome, love the details in it.
3) Great design, Love the wheel guards, too.

Should we have a BOTM for rr2?

Up to you guys.  Do you feel like the game is mature enough?
I think the one thing missing - and I keep forgetting to bring this up - is some sort of "green-screen" function, so we can take screenshots of our robots in front of a blank background, like we can do in RA2. Once we have that, we can start making proper splashes for our RR2 builds.

Doesn't have to be anything fancy, could be just a "Greenscreen" toggle in the Bot Lab that replaces the workshop background with a solid colour.
That should definitely be something to add in the next build. I could see some cool stuff coming from that.

Judges decision

Ah!  Thanks!

I think we need a scoring system for 2 primary reasons:

1. It is a way to build tension and excitement as you see one robot pulling ahead of another.
2. In single player or AI vs AI games, it is needed to determine the outcome of non-KO fights.

For me, the best part of the original Robot Rumble was watching the pips move as someone went on a particularly long scoring run, upsetting the leader.
I would 100% agree with you on that. It can make matches more competitive throughout, and if you don't agree with the decision that the Com made, you can always just ignore it.

@Hoppin, what exactly is giving you problems with scaling?
I can look into it if you can give me more details.

Yea, absolutely.
Given how small the BWs tend to be to build. I've found the grid lacks the support for these small sizes. Often rounding up to the nearest number. It results in it being really difficult imo to make detailed and accurate bots. This, on top of the lack of wheel & battery support makes building at the weightclass really awkward and overall lacking
You are able to adjust the grid size on the left hand side.

Yes, it should be able to go into the negatives, but I would put a limit on how far into the negatives it can go.

The very first RR2 AI tournament... this ought to be interesting. Will we have to do the AI ourselves?
Yes, you can use either the default AI or make a custom AI.

I have noticed that RR2 doesn't have a tournament forum, so I have decided to post this here. There is no entry limit, so you could enter 10 into the tournament if you want to. All entries will have to follow these guidelines:
-Maximum Weight: 110 kg
-1 battery and 1 electronic required per robot
-Cluster bots are allowed, but the combined weight will have to stay under 110 kg.
-Reps are allowed, but if more than one of the same rep are sent in, only one will be accepted
-AI has to work correctly
-I might make adjustments to a robot if I deem necessary
-Subscribe to my channel (optional, but will help your robots make the final cut)
Submit your entries to codesilvergaming@gmail.com before all the spots are taken!

thx. Also, if anyone wants to have some of their robots in my tourney, send your bot files to codesilvergaming@gmail.com to get them entered. There is no limit for how many submissions, so feel free to send 10 if you want to.
