Your weapon motor is underpowered, you have too many batteries, and you're using AW-level weapon motors for your drive.

Are these designs in the 2018 battlebots AI pack?
The 2018 Battlebots pack was built by someone else.

I like the VS a lot. Reminds me of 3 Stegs, which has always been a favourite of mine.

Clamp looks pretty solid too, though some of those gaps in the armour around the front could do with being filled if possible IMO

The axe really doesn't light any fires for me though not gonna lie. Could really do with something to stop it from just being a box with an axe on top. What that something is I'm not too sure though.

Did a version of it where only the centre part of the wedge is a flipper. Certainly more effective, and surprisingly powerful, but IMO less novel than the original version. Nonetheless it's an option.

Great build, try more weapons. I like the texturing of the panels you used.
It's an IRL build, and, as I noted in the original post, it's not supposed to be competitive.

New thing. Had this idea for a kinda GBH-style lifting wedge thing in my mind for a bit and it kinda morphed into this as I built it. Fairly happy with how it came out looking in the end. Dual NPC fast drive and a long VDMA for the weapon. Wedge is all Ti, pretty much everything else is Alu. No srimech and not invertible but it's not supposed to be a competitive build.

I saw Clickbeetle at a grocery store in Chicago yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
Sounds like Clickbeetle alright

Real solid lineup this series. Personal favourites are probably Jilted Lover, Mayor Marikina, OverLowered, Tech-X and Unnamed and Untamed

I think my bots are too generic. One’s not recieving any votes...
Performance over looks isn't exactly a philosophy that works for BOTM, where 95% of it is decided on looks

The design is real neat. The only real changes I'd make is to make the chassis a touch taller to lessen some of that NPC clipping, and to skin it differently. Probably my favourite bot you've built in a long while though

I made my first IRL robot, based off of Stinger: The Killer Bee. The flipper is powered by a medium VDMA and flips forwards. The srimech is an extra-small VDMA.
Name: Venom Lizard
Weight: 796 (HW)
Armor: Titanium 3
Power: 1 small air tank and 3 Battlepacks
Drive: 4 NPC Fasts

Considering this is off the back of a 7 year building hiatus, not half bad. You can probably reduce the length some which would free up some weight for more batts (3 battlepacks might not be enough for 4 drive motors and 2 bursts. I'd go 4 to be safe), and also eliminate some empty space too. Also maybe upgrade the main burst for the flipper, which may also allow you to eliminate the dedicated srimech and instead just self right with the flipper.

Also just wondering, did you skin those Tazbot wheels yourself? I like them a damn sight better than the default Taz wheels. They work well with the stinger-style aesthetic you're going for here.

Hi, I’m an old—what’s a discord? Is that like AIM?
It's pretty much like a modern IRC.

Apogee is probably the best looking front hinged flipper I’ve seen.
TY man. It's not quite my personal favourite of the many front hinges I've built but I'm really happy with how it came out all in all. Should be reasonably competitive too

Dude I love both of them, I can't decide which I like more

Apogee is really nice, I especially like the wedge/forks, but the little extender holes on the wheel guards are ever so slightly annoying. I like Lamentation too, and the dedication to not use flatmotors is rad
The holes in the extenders in front of the wheels were deliberate since I thought it looked interesting. Can probably change it if people think it looks bad but I kinda like it personally.

Double post but my last bot doesn't seem to be gaining any traction so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Decided to do an HW, front hinge version of Apogee, and I'm super chuffed with how it came out as I was able to get pretty much everything I wanted in and have it look good. Dual VDMA front hinges for the bursts, which is my standard setup for front hinges as seen on Bocuma and Sabre, but with more drive than both of those (2 NPC fasts and 2 TWMRs, which I think provides the best speed/controllability balance of any motor setup barring 4 regular NPCs). Mostly steel armour around the front and sides too, and a set of hinged wedgelets at the front. I think it looks pretty good too. Ceratinly better than the CW front hinged version of Apogee, and IMO better than the original rear hinged HW version too.

HW vert thing. Honestly didn't come out how I wanted, but I don't think it looks bad nonetheless. 2NPC fast drive and a perm for the bar

why not just build standard since it avoids those problems
Why not just focus on hosting your own standard tournaments rather than spending your time moaning that nobody else is hosting them?
sorry for helping padre.
Pretty odd definition of "helping" you got there man.
