seemingly, i missed a few thing, and will answer that now (since i have nothing better to do on school). For Power Struggle, I think you can fit another air tank in.
i had tried fitting in three air tanks but there is not enough space. to bad, it would have helped with not running out of air. It's beautiful. You should enter it in ROBONOVA if it goes ahead.
if it is a realistic lightweight tournament (it it's there), i will enter micro vulcan. just to see how it will perform. i do hope that there is an arena with hazards and the possibility to flip others out of the arena. that is also a reason that i lost in BBEANS3, still, i got to the second round so it wasn't a complete loss. That flipper looks pretty nice. You could get Regular Z-Tek drive on it for more speed if you want.
and on the spinner, wedges aren't any good unless they are on a snapper. Right now with them on an anchor, they arent going to get under anything.
i guess you mean micro with 'that nice looking flipper'. i could try and do that, but i think i would go over the lightweight limit. i'll see. so, better to remove wedge then? i won't be able to fin in a snapper there. on other news, i am going to try and make some new bots. maybe try something other then a flipper for lightweight. and i will still make a new power-struggle. planning on 6 wheeled ramming power, but i will see to that later. might even get to something completely different.

this makes clear which of my bots is favoured most. would love to put a skin on micro... but i don't have the skin exporter, nor do know how it was called.

ok, good to know. now i have been busy with the tips i had gotten. tetra vulcan in the end remained unedited as smaller wheels result in a loss of good control. it is more likely to suddenly start spinning while in want to drive forward or backward. as for the wedge, no good and enough space. others have been edited. micro vulcan has easier to hit wheels but is can't get stuck on its end now and it is more stable. N-disc 5, now 5.2, has the HP z-tek for the disc, has a wedge which has proven its use and some fresh wheels. overall result, more mayhem. and last, power-struggle 2. piston powered spike wall, shiny wheels, shortened side strips, better front corner protection and slightly faster due to a little less weight.

wait, how does the magnet spiner work?
by spinning around like a maniac with it, unless the enemy can't or doesn't want to come to you. then you just ran away and maybe later start spinning again. kind of a FBS and rammer combo. also, what is RFS?

Hey ! Good to see oldtimers !
you probably feel attracted to the magnet Don't you think that was a little too easy ? :P
yeah.. should have been easier :P you can! you probably feel attracted to the magnet. but i don't have a DL link just now. i'll PM you my mail add so i can later send it over with msn.
Perhaps you already know... but there is a file uploader on the left hand side of the GTM main site. That way you can just let the site host and sent the link to your friends, enemies, family, loved ones, pets, authority figures, etc etc.
B.T.W. I reeaaaaaaly like how you set up your pics as spoilers in the message like that. It keeps it really clean. Interesting idea.
didn't know that. and i can even send them to my guinea pigs!? AWSUM! and i am used to using spoilers to avoid having larger posts then needed. Although realism is disliked by most of us in stock, these bot's look quite good.
Micro Vulcan: I would raise the RAD's by about 3 dimensions. Then put shinies on.
Tetra Vulcan: Use shinies, with the remaining weight, you can get a wedge.
Power Struggle: Only one black battery is needed for this, use shinies, try to remove some of the useless angle connectors. If you have enough weight, you could turn this into a poker.
FBS Magnet 3: I'm not good with FBS
N-Disc 5: Use and Hp-ztek for weapon motor, and add a wedge.
will attempt to these things. but i'm not a big fan of pokers. and i was actually planning to make a 6 wheel version on power struggle. tried HP ztek for Ndisc when building up, but was to lazy (yes i am a slacker). a wedge may be handy, but i think that the would have to make the disc longer. hmm... gotta try it out anyway. and FBSM is just fine i think. my friends tried to fight it, i had major lag and he just could hit it. he hates it now :P Although realism is disliked by most of us in stock, these bot's look quite good.
Ignored. Not disliked.
someone has got to like them, then let it be me.

i do agree, but granny wheels are so ugly =[ tried shiny on micro but that turned out rather bad. i more often flipped myself. and N-disc has the smaller wheels for minimum ground clearance. they barely touch the ground. the disc btw doesn't do to much damage, but works wonders on wheels.

yes i put my robots in a briefcase. anyway, time to reshow what i have. don't have anything really from the old days. tried rebuilding a few. keep in mind that i make realistic bots only. first off, i had rebuild micro vulcan as it was a decent light weight flipper doesn't have the screen shown in the pic. and then i wanted to try and rebuild tetra vulcan, my middle weight flipper. i later on found pics of the old one andd found out that i made a slightly improved version. next up was... well.. i remembered having a rammer so i made one with the same idea. first was called mega vulcan. i forgot that and now it has a new name, power struggle. then i came with the brilliant idea of rebuilding my magnet bot. and i made an exact rebuild of FBSmagnet 3. next up was the N-disc serie... i forgot all the older ones and just started on a new one. appeared to be number 5 in the series and the first one to be able to selfright. i'm glad to be back and i will try and make new and realistic based bots.

thanks, alltho i must say i can't really remember you. but there is a lot i don't remember. i will try and stay, but i will mainly be busy for my own 'roleplaying' forum. well, me and a very close friend both host it. but you get the idea. i am a busier person these days.

thanks and yes, i am the builder of micro vulcan. to bad i met a spinner in my second round. i might become more active here again. but i also have my own forum to monitor now (even if it isn't that active, there already is some misbehaviour.).
and for the lowlag arena. me and one of the other people tried it and the lag was still as bad. good thing we know each other RL so we'll fight a lagless fight on one pc, using one keyboard and different controls for our robots.

used combat zone with hazards disabled. still had terrible lag.
and the connection should be able to handle it perfectly. mine isn't the best but my friends at least have a very strong connection. still, if vegas 2 and GTA4 and easily done, then RA2 should be no problem.

i have been trying to get online with the game using hamachi. me and my friends can host server but when we play, only the host can play normally. the rest has a pretty strong lag. on hamachi was all have a direct tunnel with each other.
is there any way to get rid of the lag?

download the ones in infs summer magic. edit: i had this prob also, a while after my comp crashed(not from ra2) and i decided to boot it w/ linux. after a while i went back to xp and now it works.
make sure u have the latest c++ runtimes and directx 9 an easyer(but only if u can) way is to just reinstall ra2. make sure you copy all ur exported bots into the new ra2 exported bots folder so u have them. it works on XP because XP isn't as flawed as windows vista. i have the latest C++ and i use directx 10. i reinstalled the game, and then was able to run it. the menu looked very bugged but i was able to do everything. then i applied the 1.3 patch and the grey menu screen problem returned. maybe the patch doesn't work well with vista, i dont know. oh, and i cant find where i can get that "infs summer magic". i will be looking arround more for it, but just so you know, i cant really find it.

i dont know if there already is a topic for this, but when i start Robot Arena 2 i get to see the logo's but the menu will stay grey. i do get a cursor and the background audio. i have had this problem since i use windows vista. i have tried setting compatability mode to windows xp but it resulted in the same problem.
please help me out with this. if more information is needed, i am happy to supply you with it. thanks in advance.
