i've said it before and it's an unpopular opinion but I think standard is the absolute best tournament meta for both pvp and ai cause it plays to ra2's strengths. you build the best bot you can with the building systems in place. I also think that Ironforge is overall a better meta than DSL for standard just due to the balance of it (and i love the ballast system). i like people building the best things they can duking it out instead of something at an arbitrary level of battle competence fighting
stock is fine too, just the well is running a bit dry on that end and it takes so much longer to build in. also not as good in pvp imo.

getting there! a lot tighter build.
chassis space management is really nice, I would suggest 1 carbatt + 1 nifty over 3 nifties however. same weight and it'll last longer. 45 amps is a bit overkill and the large batteries last exponentially longer than the same weight in smaller batteries.
I do hope you can get a more damaging weapon on there somehow. DSL bars are not really designed to be weapons in and of themselves. super bad damage. The plow assembly may want to be widened a bit too, especially if the spinner will be likely knocking people away and making it hard to corral them (perhaps 2 plows in a V). Other than that, it's pretty solid overall for a pvp bot. with some good driving you can make it work well in the right arena.

By far the most important and most exciting match I've had all tournament. First of all, there were so many things that I took for granted but ended up going completely wrong. My nutting attempt was somehow blocked by one of Reier's wheels every single round, though this might be related to the next thing. That being, I totally thought my weapons would fit under Reier's maces, but my bot was knocked aside every single time I went for a big hit. And the one I was most confident in was that 10 razors stacked together would earn more points than the 2 or 3 maces they hit, at least until they get knocked off a bit into the match, but Reier was consistently outscoring me in collisions, so WBP was pretty much out for me.
Keeping all that in mind, Round 1 went pretty damn well, with Reier getting flipped over at the start and two clean chassis hits for the KO. Then Round 2 had me worried about the deciding matchup since I couldn't get a hit all 2 minutes and was consistently worse at racking up points, even with getting him flipped again. Round 3 probably started the worst possible way it could have - the wheel blocked my boxrush, and the hit wasn't good enough to get Reier flipped over a third time. For the first minute I'm pretty much just reduced to ramming over and over again only get knocked away and outscored by his spinner; getting both wheels doesn't even matter because the tribar provides enough wiggle movement. Once my wheel gets knocked off I think it's pretty much over, but it turns out the amount of battery power Reier's lost after 1.5 minutes slows his tribar enough to get me an immobilization with 18 seconds remaining. Crazy stuff. The fact that it happened in the winner's final just makes it even better.
All three stock matches actually ended in the result I was hoping for; I don't want to face VB's low-lying spinner+plow and my matchup with Geice was too close to call last time. VB vs. playzooki was also an incredible watch for that reason and more. VB got the amazing points comeback in round 1 thanks to RNG of which weapons got knocked off and getting a hit in on the weapon motor. playzooki then showed that his weaponry easily nets him the win if his weapon motor just stays safe. I thought it was over in the last round once playzooki got flipped considering how round 1 went, but he pulled off an incredibly clutch self-right to get back in it and earn the win.
It's been crazy how I've made it all the way to the finals; almost all of my matchups came down to incredibly close matches that I somehow ended up winning randomly. The rest of the bracket is going to be really exciting to watch.
this but i'm the one who lost horribly and am not necessarily as thrilled  gg tho fun fact: this is alter ego's first tournament loss in the 4 its been in (built 2009)

lazy post for a lazy bot older AI version: lil update for pvp. basically a ripoff of thrackerzod's ripoff of this bot. except his bot was good too so i got him back. kinda a yin yang thing goin on less weapon but stronger drive which is very important in pvp. might have been nice to use 3 ballasts but i only had room for 2 and it's not a huge deal. it's very stable for being narrow, the skirts help a ton actually. self rights decent. very agile and can flank easily with some good driving. haven't had the wheels taken off yet, but I can see that being the main weakness.

they will likely power it for 3 minutes but the motors will only be half as strong or whatever as they could potentially be. it powers all the motors, just at less strength. duracels also last by far the shortest amount of time of all the batteries, the bigger they are the exponentially longer they last. it's always a good idea to get the biggest batt you can while still providing it with the amps it requires.

agree with uberpyro. you've go the workings of a pretty good design but it has nowhere near enough batteries and even in online i'd be worried about such a lack of weapons. also agree that 2wd would probably be better for a LW (wheels are heavy)
with the plow and armor panels, I doubt you need st10. you can get more batteries with the weight it gives you. good job on building right up to the weight limit though.
