Altho, the 140 square extender and the new uberstack (probably) are allowed here, I changed my mind and already sent my bot, as a part of a new tactic against the 140 square extender and the new uberstack glitch...

compared to DSL and all this IRL stuff, stock is on life support.
QFT Nar, wake up. Stock is dead. I will disappear permanently very soon, and Inf is becoming more and more busy with IRL stuff. So the stock will lose this two "Atlases" very soon... Btw, why You are not building stock anymore?

1. One proof-of-concept bot isn't enough to warrant an entire wiki article. 2. Anyway I don't understand...is a shell spinner just a compact horizontal spinner?
1. At least, I'm trying. But I'm alone in this. You are a good builder, You can try to build one of these too. The stock is slowly dying. Most of the vets don't even build stock anymore. And if someone build something, it's from the "race for the best wedge only" that ruined stock. I also have some unshowcased damn good bots with superb wedges, but is this stopped me to build things without wedges? 2. It's more compact than a HS, and it have less vulnerable spots, than a regular HS. I would say it is a SS, 'cos I decided to put the maces later, if I made it with a ramplates all over for example, it will look more like a SS, but it will be pathetic in combat, so... I must have some very old stock SS tries in the old showcase rar, 'cos I remember trying this back then too.

I just said it because the rule seem extremely unnecessary in this case.
At first, my idea for the rules was, they to be damn strict, so no any size square extenders at all (140 or less) or any other weight gain tricks, and the bots to must have an enormous effectiveness. Then I realized that I want other people to be able to enter besides me, so I allow the "weight gain" components. Disallowing the 140 is actually a favour to all, since it saves weight, but for most people is hard to gain weight So everyone, better start using the 120 square extender any soon if You want to fill up to 3000.

I'm open for an ideas of how to make a better maces setup, that will protect better the discs. Then it will be damn good. Also, why I can't find in https://gametechmods.com/RA2wiki/index.php?title=Bot_types here a "vibro ram", "shell spinner in stock" or a "crusher" bot type?

I'm also for a more protection. Probably a ramplate in the middle, under an angle of 45 from the floor, so it will protect the front and the top at the same time, also will follow the "line" of the bot. Also why is the triangle back side? Was the stuff from my signature any useful to You? I can see, that You use some stuff from it.

"The bots involved in this tournament will be included in an AI pack." IS A ...limiting the flow of bots between builders...
? WTF ? Nar, You are basically saying that : "If someone commit a crime I'm with You for punishing it, but I'm against a preventive police or to have a laws". And this is funny. Also, did people become scared and go away from the tournaments of Ianh and Mr. AS when they include this in their OP? Did someone died from that 2 lines?

So we can use noobish things to fill up weight but not enter noob bots? I'm confused now...
Yes, using a tricks to gain a kilo or two is one thing, but the overall fighting efficiency of a bot is something different. Also the "no noob bots" rule is for a very noob combat unefficient bots. Why would you ban 140 square extenders when you don't even have a maximum weight limit? It's not like people are trying to "save weights".......
Nar is right here, they are not banned from other places as well for nothing. You want them, because your bots highly depends on them. The rules are posted, so no point of discussing the allowance of the 140 extenders here. So, everyone cut the spam. Also, at general, I think that, a good SHW-UHW builder wouldn't need a multi bot, or a cheap tricks and loopholes, or a weight gain tricks, or whatever, I for example, never used any of these for my UHWs and I have a lot of them...

No, I don't think I'll do that. I mean jeez, it's just a game. We aren't ruining anyone's career with this.
Yes, but a short line of text in the OP isn't ruining anyone's career too. Right? You say you don't want to have to PM the host, but how else are you gonna get the bot to them? I'm sending the bots by PM, I don't want to send a permissions, a line of text in the OP is enough. Dude between this and BoTM you are making yourself look like a gigantic (expletive). I would stop now and save whatever respect people have left for you. Hahaha, I don't seek respect at all dude, I'm simply just posting my point of view and some people take all this too far (look at the shortness of my first posts on the problems). Also, there is no point, because the forum is full with gigantic (expletive)s that gang me up as Ianh said and they will never be OK with whatever I do. Don't You find a coincidence that all member that grudge me are mostly a new members that joined after I left and don't know me? I'm just Venko, I post bots and opinions, some like them some not and that's it.
I don't want this for myself only, I'm leaving this place soon, so all your grudges against me are kinda pointless and childish... You, the new members gang, You are not telling me what to be my opinion.

In general, if the arena is capable of taking 4 robots, and the rules specifically don't state "No Multibots Allowed", then it's safe to say that you can enter a multibot into a tournament. This is not a tournament, and there is no arena. I've entered multibots into BOTMS where it hasn't said anything about multibots and ACAMS has let it fly just fine. He has, but I don't for this one. An unwritten law that doesn't need changing, thank you very much. Since it's unwritten, then I can change it for this BotM
And mostly, quit following me in the topics to grudge with me, in the new uberstack discussion, in the new tournament rule, in this BotM debate. Posting nice words in my showcase won't change the obvious - You hate or jealous me for something that I don't understand... Don't say it's not true, You can't fool me that You have something against me personally. And remember, You are not the person that will say what will change and what will stay.

Don't worry Venko, one incident with me in 7 or so years and I'm labelled as a drama queen on the wiki
Oh, I have this one + forum arsonist, back in 2008 for defending my different opinion against the mainstream, so they are not the first to try me... Altho a "cool group" ganging me up IRL, will lost a tooth or two per member

Yeah, maybe it's this, I also noticed that the people that grudge me in a few topics are the same members, mostly a new users that don't know me from the 2008. But should this kind of acts be punished by the admins?

You forgot to put a rule in and didn't notice until it's too late, Venko.
The only thing that I didn't noticed is how people can interpret the word "bot" into "multi bots"... As for Craaig, his post seems to lays on some personal or vet hate basis, as I only point out two facts (the one in red) and he freak out. What the member activity or the rank has to do with all this? Is something with my english wrong so I sound "above every damn person here" when posting opinions?

...They are also missing the "Anything I'm missing guys?" part in the tournament posts, wich I didn't have here.

Quite simple really - you can't. If this were your topic, you could, but even then it would be completely unfair for you to change accepted rules a good ten days after they have been up just because you made an oversight, in my opinion.
8 days later, I was off town to fix that earlier. Still there is a plenty of time to enter on the other hand.

I had to add this "anti-multi bot" line, just all things to be clear, but how I can edit the ACAMS post?

THE FBS/SHELL SPINNER IS SOOOO AWESOME
Too bad that the disks fall intact before the maces when attacked from side... >Robot with a trollface for a chassis Alright, I'm curious: I wanna' see an inside shot, to see the exact chassis shape.
I'm assuming You are speaking about the dangerous troll bot. You have to "zoom" and "preview the image at full screen" the pic, since it's an animated GIF wich shows the inside, but the image upload site shows a smaller and unanimated preview at first... It's a HW split at two mirror MWs. The only difference between Lrrr and Lrrr2 is the skin, in the first version is not yet split, in the second is glued back together. Also, You all are missing the awesomnest of the last bot, all that "mounted" bots on the pics lost. If someone build him with a more successful way of "mounting", he can be devastating...

Many tournaments have a rule like "all entries become the sole property of <whomever>" in them but that wouldn't work well for RA2 tournaments because of the ease of copying someone else's work. However, I like to think that the host can do whatever they would like with the bots that participated in their tournament (it had to take place) as long as they are not claiming them as their own. The fact that your bot was seen on video from multiple angles already gives people enough information to make copies of it. Anything that people find interesting regardless of whether it is big or small is likely to be copied and that will not change (we are not going to go down the same road as the U.S. patent system). If people take inspiration for something, we should not be limiting them. We don't discuss a cloning from a pic here, we are discussing the direct use of the bot file from a GTM member that downloaded the AI pack after the release. Also the argument that if Click said it, this wouldn't stir anything up is invalid. I and others have disagreed with both ACAMS, Clickbeetle, and JoeBlo before with very little hesitation. The 1.31 and 1.4 patches are prime examples of me taking the opposite side of all three of them. Yes, but You are not from that hypocrites I mentioned above This is all just my opinion though so feel free to continue debating this if you so choose.
Wait, so you don't want this, and it's seemingly evident not many other people are keen on it?
Ditch the bad habit of speaking from the name of the community at first. And yes, I don't want to send a PM to the host, I want this in the OP: "The bots involved in this tournament will be included in an AI pack." , because the leaking of my bots is mine responsibility, I can judge what to send and what not, after I read that line... Also, your "alienating" argument is pathetic, You can't post this as a main argument against mine.

I would post this earlier, but I had to go to the university to defend my diploma work, that was the cause for my disappearance for some days. Now I have a master degree (with A- mark overall) in petroleum geophysics, have two publications, and I will start my final job soon, wich will lead to my permanent (this time) leaving of the GTM, but it will also lead to the release of my bots. I don't know why I'm still modding this, as the whole series is not so good : This is more like an art bot, then something good : This is also more like an art bot : Troll physics, nothing is "photoshopped" here, except the text added : The closest thing to a shell spinner in stock, the funny part is, that his side part is the most vulnerable and it's a shell spinner... : Watching this crushing is a big pleasure : That's for now...

This small thing, that was supposed to be not a big deal, went too far (thanks to some people). I'm putting an end to this... ...I mean if clickbeetle asked for that everyone would respect his request wouldn't they?...
The biggest truth, that I read after my comeback. This hypocrites would instantly agree, if he asks. First of all, I don't want this rule for me, I want it to protect all the good builders, so if someone is against it, maybe he want to do that kind of stealing stuff... "The bots involved in this tournament will be included in an AI pack." Look how simple and fast to achieve is. It will not force the people to not enter, they will just know and that's it. ...by saying your bots are too good for us... I never said that, it's You posting an opinion... ...if you are REALLY that bothered about it, just put that line in your pm or however you send your bots... I don't want this, no need, just a info in the OP is enough.
Now the truth. What I fear is not the host stealing my bots, or people cloning them by pics. The thing I'm worried is the direct stealing of the bot file from the AI pack after the tournament from a good builder by a lame builder (mostly in stock where not all people can stack that good). Imagine this theoretical situation : You spend hours and hours to do some uber stacking (MidF for example, 2 blacks + CB, 2 stacked snappers, all this in a perfectly small chassis) then You submit it for a tournament. The tournament is over, the AI pack is released without your knowledge, and then someone instead of cloning this bot by pic, used directly your bot file or with insignificant modifications and enter the next tournament and win it. You worked on it for hours, he have it for 5 sec. Some people don't care if someone will find out, as long as they win. If You don't find this disturbing, You are either a pathetic builder or stupid? This simple line I posted on the upper lines, will eliminate this with an ease. I'm still fighting for this, as long as I'm entering tournaments, when I stop enter tournaments and release all my bots they can do whatever they want. I don't build for hours just someone to steal mine or someone else work for a seconds. Instead, I get "attention seeker", "arrogant ass" and so... I didn't know that this kind of stuff actually happened to Ianh. So we have the first case of this. Also, when I made a damn good bot, and after testing it, I found that it's extremly good, of course I wouldn't show it to the most people, but keep it for ownage. And I have some of these, most stock builders don't innovate, just copy+paste. Ianh05 is way smarter than You, if You ask me... And You look like a trolls to me, that don't have anything better to do than grudge for nothing and trolling people.
