Don't rule out theplumbers.  Sewer Snake beat Last rites pretty convincingly, and the extra 30 pounds of armor will tip the scales in its favor.

Team JACD says it wasn't staged, it was Derek's own idea.

It was dumb but it was effective. GR didn't just hit the box and the net fell away. It seemed like the net itself was engineered itself to actually be functional and not just a prop.
I doubt that very much.  Duct tape would be enough to keep it from falling away, and pretty much any cargo net would work as an entangler.

Probably going to get some flack for this, but I hate nets.  They're an unexciting way to win, and anyone can just buy one from Home Depot, so what's to stop everybody from using them against spinners?

I can understand them not giving CC a wildcard after that stunt they pulled

I knew the MIT kids would be dicks.
These guys have driven me to robot events and organized one in Massachusetts.  The real dick is the person who takes free hits after the buzzer.

To me Warhead seemed weaker than last time on BB. I don't see whats wromg withBite Force. It's a good design. So is the design of wreck but it doesn't change the fact that it sucks in combat
. Its flywheel wasn't all that destructive, actually.  They took out the pitiful armor of JC slammer and ripped a wheel off of Nightmare, but couldn't damage Overkill or matador.

Didn't they already evaporate when Dark Pounder was confirmed?

There's a segment from one team before each battle, and some analysis from the hosts.  There's only 44 minutes of content total.

I-is this actually real?
Yeah we dug up some filings for claims of IP related to RA3.   If this is a hoax, it's elaborate.

No Badnik's right; they said next week's matches at the end of the episode.

Desperately hoping there is a torrent available tomorrow or a download or something, because my television antenna took a dump in the middle of the episode and I missed the last two fights. I still know who won though.
Can't you just watch in on ABC.com or Hulu?

Yeha, I would've like to see all the teams get some interview time, and less guessing from the commentators, but they kept the action going.

So Overhaul has cam shuffling, interesting. By any chance, was Zipdragon64 involved? I don't know his real life name but he's made a few shuffles over the years.
Nope, Overhaul was built by a team from MIT.  They were at Motorama this year with a very cool 30-lb shuffler.

Those bits that Wrecks broke are just the disposable decorative shell.  Underneath, it's a densely-packed box that looks like Manta from Robot Wars.  I'm thinking they'll win with their back weapon, just tip Wrecks over for the win.

Hmm, now that I've seen Wrex "walking" I'm not so sure it'll win, it looks easy to outdrive and liable to flip.  Plus it doesn't look like they actually got a weight bonus like I thought.  I'm changing my prediction to Plan X.

Just found out that Mohwak has a flamethrower too.  I feel like the Count from Sesame Street, "Sevven flamethrowers, ah ah ah!" (thunder & lightning)
