Haha!
You, sir, have just been pranked!
Botchoy 2 was actually a bot built by RedAce for the RA2 IRL pack which was released way before you joined. By saying it is a snare you confirming that you, in fact, did not create the snare.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I will see myself out
So I was correct that the snare exists, but I didn't know it already existed before I came to the forum. ...and I already knew you were pranking me, I was just going along with it.

I gotta say your kinda improving nice
Unrelated to the bot that splash gives me big eye hurt.
The bot itself is ok
-bringing it up once again if you want to make a robot themed off something do it in a more subtle way instead of just getting a bunch of pictures from google and slapping them on the robot.
-the panel work is super messy and doesn't completely cover the sides of the robot which is super bad since it looks ugly and wont protect your bot as much
-I might be wrong but there appears to be some clipping with the batteries at the front but I don't have a good angle so who knows
-The back hammer support thing is really odd. Im not sure why you have a spike strip but generally it just makes a robot easier to hit if its long so I would maybe make it shorter
The top panels disappear when the bot enters a fight. It just looks messy in the botlab. I tried to configure the panels so they form a shape similar to the wedge on Beta.
The spike strip actually acts like a tripwire, but it also acts as extra support. It does need to be shorter.
You are once again, attaching armor to the chassis making it invincible and thus cheating, that aint gonna fly with most people
When you call a parsec again, I'll throw this bot in. You can expect to say goodbye to those armor plates. They won't be there.

Clamp and snare are the same thing. Again we have more experience in ra2 than you do, also whoever it is just stop it its getting boring
That's something I'm looking into- are Snares really that different from clamps, or are they just modified clamps? I know you guys have more experience in RA2, and I really respect that. Let's just say Snares are modified Clamp bots. There's nothing special about them. End of discussion, I don't want to start another argument, please.

Yeah er hi
Snare isn't a real bot type and if it was I invented it first.
Thank you and good night
I think it may be different from what you're thinking, but... When did you invent it? ...and yes, I'll post a vid of a Clamp, and a vid of a Snare.

Here's a love letter to you people, who love drum spinners. [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] Push it just a little, you get a lot of noise from the gear train. Push it a little fast, you start to feel the drum roar like a jet engine (like Minotaur's.) Push it very fast, and it feels like the bot wants to jump out from under your hands, due to gyroscopic energy. Push it too fast, let's not go there. Drum can spin up to 14,000 RPM!
Neat!
Thanks, man. When are you going to post another lego bot?

I've been hearing some bad comments about my 1.0 AI pack having bad UI. I wanted to change that, so I made an extended edition to my 2.0 AI pack, now with UI. I'd like your input here. I haven't had time to look at the UI myself, but I'd like it if you guys tried it out. Please tell me how it looks, and please post a pic of the main menu! https://gametechmods.com/forums/downloads/?sa=downfile&id=463download it here.

This may seem unnecessary, but it needs to be discussed.
There appears to be a struggle when it comes to identifying the difference between a Snare and a Clamp.
First off- A Clamp grabs and holds, a Snare bites, and releases. There is NO grabbing and holding action in a Snare. Second- A Clamp will grab and hold an opponent for a short period of time before releasing it. A Snare will "snap" down on an opponent and then immediately release the opponent.
Third- You can think of a Snare as a hybrid of a Hammer and a Clamp, that attacks like a snake- striking and biting an opponent, and then letting go. A Clamp will bite an opponent for about 10-15 times in a match, or 5-10 times if it's a crusher. A Snare will repeatedly fire its jaw mechanism for up to 30 times in a match, like a hammer.
An IRL Snare can be identified by how it attacks- it will repeatedly raise and lower its claw, jaw, or whatever at a rapid rate, without actually grabbing opponents.
An Unrealistic Snare is basically a combination of a true popup and a hammer.
Snares also have a small "arm" or flipper concept that throws an opponent into the air before slamming it with the hammer-like weapon (jaw, claw, whatever.)
Any more questions or opposing thoughts, please post here

one of my best popups, because it balances everything. It's a PYS popup, so there really isn't any point in posting insides. 398.0 kg, DSA, 2 supervolts, 8 razors on 2 DDTs, and a wedge on a DDT. This bot's actually pretty old, it's been sitting in my inventory for a while. For a reboot, I want it to look like this...

Im the test bot area (after i press the controller icon
The first thing that comes to mind is that maybe the wheels aren’t attached to the axle correctly. Is it possible that they are affixed to the body of the motor instead? Maybe try mounting a motor vertically, then attaching a bar spinner to the axle, then calling the motor a drive motor?
(Image removed from quote.)
I did the same thing for my bot IronTail. Works great.

X-ROGUE looks like this in DSL. [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] 10 mm. Aluminum.
I suggest you make the bar bigger, and downgrade the armor to titanium 5
Yes, the but the chassis is too exposed for weaker armor. The bar is actually 2 DSL 50x150 bars slapped together. It does need to be bigger, but that would require a better weapon motor.
