The Grudge Matches of Deathmatch 2 are now up! Okay, so I tried to take the best of everyone's suggestions, to try and avoid as many repeat offenders or bots that already have one bot in. It's kinda hard to take suggestions when most are just the builder wanting to take on a random bot, but eh, can't win every fight I guess. I could not get a feasible match for the opening melee. That's the best match I got from like five or ten tries. Even then inVasion took it bar none. The second melee I felt MUD RUNNER had the battle on a back-and-forth basis. Leviathan and Breaking Hammers had both bots immobile for the second half in the recording, and I considered Leviathan immobile since all it did was spin like a top before Breaking Hammers got turned over. Primodious I felt led in control and aggression, so not much to say here. Little Pusher just took the edge in agression, since he and Catharsis actually were pretty much dead even in damage and control. And that's it. I really hope you all enjoyed this tournament, as it's one of my favorite working on so far, and I hope to make the eventual Deathmatch 3 much more fun and interesting. So if you want, post your thoughts, and thanks all for sticking by! :)

Oh wow, I made two bots by recycling the same chassis and just swapping a few parts to call it a new bot? Who am I, infiniteinertia?not gonna knock him as he was a great builder but seriously how has no one really pointed out that five lws use the same goddamn chassis So yeah, same chassis, same wheel setup, and same power of two stacked nifties and a CB stack. That one took a bit, but I'm proud of that, especially how airtight it is in there. Slicer V: A must needed upgrade to my Slicer lineup, and I decided to go back to the roots. This time, give it more power in exchange for plastic armor. It's worth it though. The face spinner comes into play way more that I ever thought it would, especially when the HS razors get knocked off more often than I'd like. Blood Rain: A simple CPIV clone, but again, with two niftes, and I swear it's faster than CPIV at times. It rocks against most LW's in SCv4 and the high tier LW's in BBEANS AI, but CPIV, ironically gives it the most trouble. Sometimes as a mirror match to just luck. Blood Rain does beat CPIV 9/10 times in the Epic Showdown arena though. Yeah. Run of the mill builds, but feeling kinda minimalist and simple right now. Not much else to say except I just wanna enter these in a LW tourney now. These things are just awesome, and fun to drive as well.

The MW hammers feel kinda same-y, IMO. Would like to see one of them look like the old Iceberg (caster rack).
That's fair. I just wasn't sure how to get variety initially. Wasn't sure which one to do initially since Iceberg was represented with the ice picks and awkward size, and Bushido for the sleeker design with swords. Though I did find a way to incorporate it into C.R.U.S.H. so I hope I managed to get something good out of it: Now testing was kinda tough since I only tested against the newest Fury (the one with maces) and it one once out of like fifty-some matches. Probably not even a fair competition at times, tho that might be the fact that the new Fury just kinda kicks the crap out of everything. Hopefully it can take on bots like the new Tornado anyway.

Okay, so a couple years back, I wanted to help get the door in helping with ReStocked. An AI pack that is meant to upgrade the old Stock AI to a competitive meta. Basically, the idea would to help reorganize and update bots from multiple builders at the time for the pack since I never liked how incomplete the original release or the update was. Some bots were either reskins of other bots from other AI packs, or just not very good in general. Later down the road, I kinda just lost interest in stock and kinda just let this project collect dust effectively. Later on, after some inspiration came back, and sadly most bots I had ready to go were lost from file transferring. So once the creative spark came back, I then decided to completely overhaul the AI pack, and rebuild every bot from scratch. Most retain the original design of each bot originally in the Older ReStocked pack, while some I kinda had to take some creative liberties and kill two birds with one stone by giving a similar style while trying to give variety. So with that in mind, here's pretty much the bots I have ready so far: If you need a close up of any bot, then just let me know then. Assuming y'all are cool with me doing this and would like to see this released, then I would love to hear that. If so, then I gotta get myself to AI'ing everything and testing it as well. This is probably going to be one of, if not, my last biggest projects for Stock in general, so I hope to at least give out a real swan song for stock, if that makes any sense.

So while I was testing this MW hammer here, I managed to do this: "Muahaha, you've fallen into a trap, I shall take advantage of this you little-- why is this world so cruel

Will there be a season 3? If so, im determined to get First Blood into the finals.
Considering the positive responses I'm getting, and a few ideas I have in my head, it's almost certain I might. when are you gonna start editing movies? Cuz you always seem to nail it
Once I actually get my life together. Now while everything may look complete, I do have one more video I might want to get myself going through with. Some grudge matches. Pure exhibition battles if for a fun concept from the battle, or some score to settle. I'm willing to take some suggestions before the end of Thursday. Now, everything pretty much is acceptable, but I do have some things I would like to address for suggestions: 1. No rematches of any battles. It would just be redundant in the end. 2. Let's at least keep it to 1-on-1 or 3-way melees. The format of this will be like the normal show: two melees and five 1-on-1s. Just to keep consistencies. 3. Suggest bots from Deathmatch 2 only. Again, simplicity's sake and I don't have that much time to AI new bots. 4. I will be taking the best suggestions for the grudge matches, not first come first serve. Mainly cause I would like some fun matches for this. If someone suggests a match you also had in mind or comes very close to what you had in mind, quote it, and I'll mark it up as a popular one. That's basically it. I hate to sound so OCD and like a neat freak at times, but it just helps me in the end. As far as my suggestions? Ones I had in mind were Catharsis vs. RedAce's Cute Little Pusher (just to see how fun it would be to have my own bot take on a bot named after me :P) and End Game vs. LAVAStone (A Replica battle that kickstarted this idea, so I wanna try and do that unless the suggestions are miles better). With all that said, any suggestions for grudge matches?

At last, the Grand Final of Deathmatch 2 is now up! Evil Art Project's Melee I felt it was rather clear that it did a lot and destroyed everything. Executioner vs. Leviathan I was actually rather stuck on since both bots did quite a lot in their halves before the crash. Leviathan was only slightly ahead of Executoner, but I felt Executioner had everything else only slightly more comfortably. The Grand Final? Now THAT was a hard call. I was trying to decide between the pushing match, but there I felt Solar Storm had more control, Royality did a lot of damage, so it made up the points there. But Agression is what kicked it for me, as it was just one point for Solar Storm for that final decision.

For fun, I would enter a DSL-IRL tourney, since even with it's problems, it's what I always wanted to do in RA2 anyway, taking it. For competitive on the other hand, I'm all for stock since it's a meta-game that not only makes use of the competitive nature of tournaments without many restrictions, but also can have some entertaining bouts. All ya need to do is look at the bouts from Redemption to see that. :D
As for weird interesting ideas, maybe an elimination bracket where if you lose a part, it's gone for good? Might need some restrictions or advantages to make it work cause you might get weaponless bots in the final, and that's never okay. It's a weird pitch, but I also am for 09's idea. That would be pretty fun to build for that.

Damn, so close. GG. Well played to everyone.
Actually I just realized. It's a double elimination style bracket, don't I technically get a second chance since I went undefeated in the tournament, or is there something I'm missing?
I've always viewed Double Elim as two single brackets with a popular option of giving the winners bracket finalist a second chance, rather than the tenet being that everyone has to get eliminated twice. Considering the BO3 format, I thought it would be weird and drawn out to do back-to-back BO3's but maybe I'm misguided in that view. I hope you don't feel cheated out of an opportunity or anything and I hope you enjoyed the tourney.
Eh, fair enough I guess. I think I was mostly going off my knowledge from BBEANS and the Wikipedia Page (or at least this bit here): The championship finals of a double elimination tournament is usually set up to be a possible two games. The rationale is that since the tournament is indeed double elimination, it is unfair to have the W Bracket champion eliminated with its first loss. Therefore, while the W Bracket champion needs to beat the L Bracket champion only once to win the tournament, the L Bracket champion must beat the Winners' Bracket champion twice. For the record, not salty, just a tad disheartened by the choke in that last match. Still enjoyed the tourney regardless. Some of those matches were just straight up tense.

I really liked Badger and RedAce's fight
So did I. It was a close wedge war, and I'm so glad I managed to actually get good wedges (even if I had to gut-rip 'em off I don't care. GG Badger.
Not looking forward to fighting geese. Those wedges look hard to beat.

Used to use Bandicam, then I swapped to OBS, and that's pretty much what I use these days.

Why is it always wedge wars I lose to? What's even worse is that I did so well up until I faced Wen. So close man.
GG anyway tho. Y'all put up a good fight.

Heat F of Deathmatch 2 is now up! For the Judge's Decisions: LAVAStone and End Game I thought pretty much did exactly all of the work before the havok cutoff point in their respective melees (As well as Black Bird and Executioner being bullied and/or limping for too long). Also I'm sad the replicas didn't fight in the heat final.

Okay, so Thrack and I decided to team up for Wen's Team Tournament, and what am I entering with? Something really boring. Yeah I know, but this wasn't my original plan. I actually wanted to do an extenderbot which turned out to look like this: If you couldn't tell already, I didn't have nearly as much room nor weight to make it a LW so I'm pretty disappointed. I am not throwing away that skull on the top since it's what I intended to be it's unique feature so yeah.

Heat E of Deathmatch 2 is now up (actually it was supposed to be up ten minutes ago but i scheduled it for the wrong date and didn't notice till now whoops)! Raw Power had a pretty tough match, but i felt it had a slight edge in control in the first round melee, I felt MGMV8 lost due to low aggression and absolutely zero control in both of it's matches, and Raw Power dominated in it's Semi-Final.

How many swings can it dish out? Mine can only muster around 4-5 before the arm fails to retract due to using 140 cms.
I think around the same, but I think it swings faster with the shorter length from testing. Also... i regret not resizing the image before submitting >.<Yeah. It has been updated recently cause I read some of the responses in the voting thread, and it's got a few updates: It seems to do a little bit better since the irons can catch bots and help gut-rip along the way. Doesn't seem bad overall, though I'm still not sure if it's better or worse to use snowplows.
