Just got back on a vacation with all these bots I made [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
Awesome to see you can build in RR2 now. Those bots are cool

Here's a flipper. 2 medium VDMAs power the weapon, while drive comes from 2 NPC fasts and 2 TWMRs. Probably a bit lacking in battery power as it only has 1 black, 1 battlepack and 3 ants. Fairly happy with how it came out looks wise though

I'm envious of the skill required to build something like this.
Honestly, you can build something decent imo, with both of your reps and original bots, like the RA2 recreation of Bot Wars bots. Awesome, I like the wheelguards, angled front, and the whole area with flipper panel in particular, as well as the color choice

Hi!
After 3 days roughly, this Cruiserweight was finally finished! [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] I wanted to make a bot who heavily uses custom components since i see so much potential in custom components! Note: I didnt changed the hitbox of the custom components to get accepted atleast in a few tournaments. :P
The Inner Gear Are Drums; the Gearwheel (i dunno how to call this), Top Panels and Bottom Panels are DSL disks and so on. :P Weapon is powered by a 4mag and the Drive is 2twmr.
When you have questions or anything else, please write it in the Comments below! :3
Have a neato day or so! :3
Awesome. It's a very unique shell. And for custom component, I will willingly accept it in any tourney I host, as long as the custom component is not too OP

The first DLC character of Super Smash Bros Ultimate (Not Including Piranha Plant), Joker from Persona 5, will be released very soon. Included in his set will be Joker himself, a new stage in Mementos, and 11 music tracks from Persona 3-5. New Mii fighter costumes are also included, based off characters from the Sonic franchise and other characters from the Persona franchise.
In other Smash related news, Version 3.0.0 is almost here, including Stage builder, a video editor and Smash world, a sorta Social Media dedicated to Smash related content, which will be able to easily share content, like screenshots and Videos made using the video Editor
I was at the bathroom while watching the new trailer, had some bad Taco Bell
As a fan of Jojo, Persona, and crossovers, hyped for this. Also, hoping the tracks include the boss battle themes from 3-5, because they are cool

[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] I still don't really get this building system, but here's my first working robutt
I like it! I am interested to see how the twin screws work in battle.
The intent with this game is to try to model damage physically. Instead of simply giving damage points every time a contact point exceeds an impulse threshold like in RA2 (more contact points = more damage per round), I have made a system where fewer contact points = more damage. This should benefit designs like yours, which try to focus all of the contact on a single point.
Guessing this system also make the weapon spammy bots with a lot of teeth work like IRL, where they are inefficient

How come Mastodon lost it's seeding to Cane Corso?
The building of mastodon wouldn’t decrease the amount of typhoon teeth mastodon had so it was rejected and it’s seed was given to cane corso
More specifically, if it's okay, Doot retired and pulled out Mastodon because he wasn't willing to nerf Mastodon, so Came Corso replaced it

Just a heads up, but if you want to enter this into a tourney, I recommend reducing the typhoons to four or six smalls. For the six smalls setup, I think you can put hexplate on the disc, and attach three small typhoons to it

Lol at Kix's comment
Anyway, they are all cool. Just wondering if you will ever build for tourneys, or all those are just showcase bots

I wanted to make a flipper with a "U" shaped flipper. It's objectively bad at fighting but it was fun to build and I thought it looked neat. It looked like what Hollywood in the 90's thought space shuttles would look like in the future. I named it Cosmonaut. After I saw it's actual combat performance I realized it was just an attention seeking bot with odd angle and no use. So I changed the name to "CosmoTHOT". Then I added "LTSR" (Losing the space race) for good measure because I'm an idiot. Anyways: My second attempt at a flipper. I currently have no intention of refining it, because I don't think I could ever have enough weight to salvage it and keep the theme.

Looks unique. It's one of the most unique shapes you made. Just a suggestion if you want to enter this into a tournament, but some tourneys ban three burst flippers Also for the other flipper above, I like how clean and compact it is, the 2WD, and the shape on the back, as well as the use of angled plate on top of wedge

They all look pretty cool honestly. Only criticism is typhoon spam on the FBD and the Yeti/Mastodon inspired bot

Awesome clamp. Guessing it still uses the lighter custom extender as you said in the Discord server though

Nothing too special. Mostly wanted to improve from Sonar's Problems and just make a third iteration of the Radar series. I think the speed is much better with NPC's instead Magmotors.
Looks cool. I like the skin, colored typhoon, and the tail kind of thing especially

Shame that DP lost despite pushing and controlling Deadgnaws II and Saturnalia well, because it's teammate died. At least as individual bot, it performed better. Will reenter it to OW4 as the upgraded version

I think it's important to understand why AI is important in RA2. It acts as a way to fairly battle bots in lieu of multiplayer. It's a bandage on the problem of the game's netcode being so bad as to be unfit for purpose. As player vs AI fights are unfair, the only way to have a fair fight in RA2 between 2 player created bots is to have an AI battle between both. The problem with this is that it leaves out a large component of what makes real battles interesting, which is the battle of driver vs driver as well as bot vs bot.
What I'm hinting at is that it might be worth looking into multiplayer over an AI scripting language. I don't want to come off as though I think I'm entitled to decide what you should/shouldn't prioritize in the game, but I think chasing this AI system might not be wise, looking through the lens of a player. RA2 already does this well, what we're missing as a community is multiplayer. Unfortunately I'd assume that multiplayer would be a lot more complex on the developer side than an AI system.
Honestly, I think that maybe Parsec can work rather than an in built multi-player system

Great start to this. Surprised that Purin made it through. Also, may get my opinion on the bots up one day. Just feeling too lazy atm
