Hello there. I'm new to GTM it seems.

Recently roboteers faced the issue of their videos disappearing because YouTube's algorithm flagged them as animal abuse. I was wondering if some of you had the same issue and if this also affects RA2 videos or if they are safe as they are mostly listed in the videogames category

>Youtube's Algorithm takes down a bunch of robot combat videos for animal abuse.

> There's clearly no animals present in said videos.

In all seriousness, this is actually quite stupid on Google's part. The programmers that worked on the algorithm should of closely tested their work before launching it onto the site, preventing such incidents like this from happening in the first place. Keep in mind that a large majority of robot combat fights, including live events had been in circulation on YouTube, being the only way to watch the action after the fight happen. So effectively, google had taken down years worth of robot combat fights within the platform being the primary methods of watching them, and google doesn't care. It's a sad day to be part of the community, but what can we do about it?

iirc it's a self learning ai, so it's not completely a developer issue, atleast from the initial takedowns.

Robot Rumble 2.0 / RR2: The case of the missing robots.
« on: August 08, 2019, 08:15:41 AM »
There have been multiple people with this error of bots nit showing up in the latest build.

I've made this thread to have users put said robots here to hopefully provide a database of robots to the developers so that they can work out a solution.

A robot that is 65% weapon should be completely uncontrollable when the weapon is moving.  Let me think about this for a bit...
A robot that is 65% weapon will also have armour made out of cardboard. I don't think much nerfing is necessary; once we start doing tournaments, people will work out for themselves how hopelessly impractical those kinds of weapons are and the "who can make the biggest Deep Six clone" contest should cease.
I'm not so sure in the current version of the game. Speed Demon has a 50kg weapon which is pretty unrealistic for a vert of its style, and it has pretty strong armour, a srimech and pretty beefy anti-spinner weapon supports.

My 83kg bar spinner controls just fine.

So apparently, that's the highest it can go. Any idea how I can improve it?

Your mass is only 10kg, I'd suggest increasing that either with size or using heavier material

6KJ is honestly pretty weak, try a heavier disc for a start, messing around with gearing could help too

Is actually about 42kj. I think he just turned the weapon on before taking the screenshot
