And that's what I get for not actually getting off my lazy ass to make the AI for it along with testing it in combat. I REALLY should've known not to make the bot move forward whenever something is in the smartzone.
Good game Somebody. I guess that's some weird even way to get even after BTTB Revamped. I think.

While I enjoy it as well, I'm disappointed that you haven't used any Ninja Gaiden music. Especially since the tourney is called Samurai Showdown. [/nitpick]

Given it's been nearly 2 years I'm disappointed to have only found this only on page 5 of the stock showcases.
It's quite disappointing that stock hasn't been as active back in 2009-2011. Nice job with Peepup. I think those blades are a bit of a waste since they are covering the extenders up to the chassis and that won't come into play very often. I guess there isn't much else you can use with the weight, so I guess there's that for a use.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys.   This was originally was meant for FullImpact, but I never got around to finishing it, and it didn't look very interesting. Later down, I turned it into a SHW bot because those are rare to see unless you are dedicated to building them. Yeah, yeah, it's generic, but that's a big issue with Tri-bar (or in this case, Quad-bar) spinners, it's hard to make them look cool. So I tried to make it one step further with those horizontal stabalizer bars you see there on I really don't see them often, so I took a whack at it for some originality. And I am seeing why. They are hard to attach if you really want to get artistic. More specifically, in my case anyway, covering the weapon with DSL bars to make it cool cool. Problem is though, they are a massive pain in the ass to attach compared to everything else in here, and I had to settle for sledgehammers since I needed weight. So overall, I'm giving myself a B- since construction looks passable and the skin looks nice, but the execution, to me anyway, is rough and it's not very original.

Calvary looks awesome. Just wish it had a better skin though. Venum 2 looks so cool as well, but the hammers still kinda turn me off. They just don't seem right on a Nightmare style VS.

Well, I've gotten the final up and ready to go, but the rumble is gonna take a bit to upload since I was trying to upload it earlier and it didn't upload for some dumb reason. Sorry 'bout that.
While it's uploading, I just want to say that this was a pretty fun experience for me. While all the matches have't been too amazing by my standards anyway, it was great to see how much people got to relive this moment from the past. Myself included since this was my very first tournament I ever participated in and I thought this would be a good way to celebrate things for everyone. It brought back some nostalgic moments from many people and it was a nice experience. Thanks to everyone. :)

Huh, I honestly thought that playzooki would actually enter with a joke splash on bringing back HurricaneAndrew. We have three great entries again, and I am grateful that they are consistent with looks of the splashes and creativity. Anyway, actual thoughts:
#1: Looks flimsy from a design standpoint, but It's still a great bot. I feel Redline has made this since I have seen how he makes his splashes with descriptions about the bot and sexy splashes going with it.
#2: I remember a stock artbot made by Clickbeetle way back when the Atari bot exchange still worked and this looks a lot like that. Ah memories. The splash is the weakest part about this though.
#3: For a standard bot, it looks prettty with the skin and splash and it looks pretty efficient. I feel this is 090901's building style mixed with a Splash style I can't exactly piece together on who made it.

You know, I feel that this war between IRL and Standard will never end. I just feel you pick whatever side you want to build and go with it. It's easier than arguing which building style is better.
Oh yeah, your bots. They are good and this showcase is off to a good start considering your new around here. For improvements, I'm just agreeing with the other guys who gave good advice.
