While I wait for Bubbles and NiaC, I have something different in mind:
- DSL-S MW - 1-on-1 - No Razors, Light DS Teeth, or beaters allowed - Axle Mounts are banned for Flails - DSL Tournament Arena (Hazards On) - 3 minute matches - Flippers & SnS are banned - No BFE, AAM, Hax, etc. Who's up for it? 1383

Honestly, I like the disc, even if it's not very effective. My two gripes are the wedges and side armor plates. The wedges seem a bit tryhard and look a little frail IRL, and the armor plates on the sides make it look pointy and I'm not a huge fan of it.
Looks good otherwise. 1384

I didn't see it coming either. Damn, now I really wish I'd gotten into Final Fantasy earlier in my life (I know I'm a scrub, sue me). Could he be the winner of the Smash Ballot?

My advice is what the other guys said, but I would also not use Snapper II's for weapons, but instead use Snapper2's instead. SnapperII's have no strength whatsoever and is better for Snapper Loading for bots with complex space saving maneuvers setups. You also might be able to place a Plow in front of it and is pretty much essential is you want to keep that bot alive longer than 20 seconds against bots from Starcore AI v4, Restocked, INF AI, and ASAI (These are some AI packs I would recommend).

Anybody want a free win? You choose the mod and the rules, I'll build what will probably be my last 'bot.Yeah sure. 1388

Well, I like that you put car steering in this bot, but with it... well, not steering, kinda ruins the point of having them. But yeah, I get ya. Not bad.
Doesn't have a name yet but I'm sure I'll come up with something stupid for it. I'm all for suggestions.Dadnik. 1390

DSL TC Showcases / Re: RedAce's DSL Network« on: November 08, 2015, 02:55:28 PM »Yes that was the point. You must not have been looking at the active tournaments these days, because I essentially made that a rule where at least two APs of the Skirt hinge must be used. That doesn't necessarily answer my question. Looking old school doesn't necessarily mean he intentionally chose a worse wedge option. Is this meant to be intentionally inefficient or just look old school? If the latter, get rid of the plastic skirts at the front; you only want to attach skirts to the middle connector otherwise your wedges go from real good to real terrible. If any of you are wondering on why it looks (so... uh, what's the word?) Old-School, it's for my Throwback tournament, and I thought I was really late on this challenge, so I decided to in a way, kill two birds with one stone. 1393
Challenge Board / Re: Silverfish Vs. Hercules« on: November 07, 2015, 03:30:15 PM »
Whoa. That was fast guys. I'll get the match done around tonight.
But for future reference guys, I feel it's better to make a new thread so it doesn't get clogged with continuous matches. Even if the same or some different rules apply. 1394
Challenge Board / Re: Silverfish Vs. Hercules« on: November 07, 2015, 02:58:24 PM »EDIT: wow you also took the time to make a logo of both of our iconsThank you (I think it's a complement)! I was hoping someone would notice. I thought it would give some flavor and organize things at the same time. Also, If you do want to host another battle, I'd still be happy to host. 1396

I've had such a fascination with hammers lately.
![]() Unfortunately, it isn't very good. The hammer breaks off too often and can't really reach far enough for the chassis. Might use a 140cm extender and change the maces to razors to extend the hammer. It's pretty stable as it is though. |
