Love the claw setup.  I feel like it could have better drive.  Then it could perhaps boxrush spinners.  Sadly, then you'll have to pretty much remake the entire thing...

Honestly i dont mind, another idea i had was that i could increase the chassis height a bit to add some armour plates.

You might be able to fit 4 wheel drive slimbodies in there. I used them on a CW and it was pretty nippy, so on a MW it should be nice and quick.

I like it. Flipper DOES look a little messy though, and is probably pretty underpowered too. Most lightweight front hingers I've seen use more than a VDMA front hinge burst, so on a middleweight it probably won't be enough. You should probably get DSCs IRL extender packs and make the flipper yellow at the very least, but making the transition from one plate to the other less obvious/jarring would probably help with the appearance too.

Ok, so I've made the flipper cleaner and am working on making another version of Inferno with with storm burst motor and a thinner panel, just have issues fitting in the batteries.

And where can I download the IRL extenders pack?

Inferno V:
That looks a lot better. Switch those armour panels to yellow and you'll be set.

Agreed. This series was a real damp squib. Predictable snoozefests and 1 hit knockouts. Pales in comparison to Series 8. Not a single standout battle this entire series.

I'm not a wikipedian by any stretch, but it's reasonable to have a "serious" page and a "fun" page for the same topic.
http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/2016_U.S._Presidential_Election
http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Fun:2016_U.S._Presidential_Election

Agreed. That's what i'm doing with 09 (and hopefully all user) pages

However, the pages I have listed prior are the most important.
Does having two separate pages for each and every article not clog up the wiki and make it even more confusing for these supposed new users who want to learn from it?

Its still a tiny bit too high and it irritates me
I think that might just be the angle of the screenshot. It's level when I look at it in game. BFEed it to 0.49999 and the extenders are 50CM.

I think you should BFE the chassis height a lil lower to make it flush w/ the panels.
I'm not sure I really want to go any lower with the chassis. The disc motor is already sticking out the top of the bot slightly.
That's fine, you can add some protection for it. I still would recommend lowering the chassis,

I don't like the way the chassis goes above the wedges and panels. I do see it'll be difficult to work around however but if you could find a solution that would be good.

Updated Insurrection as I also didn't like the fact that the chassis was so much higher than the panels. Here is the result. Had to shrink the wheels and switch the side panels from Titanium to Aluminium in order to accommodate the slight redesign and fit in the CW weight limit. Succeeded though and I think it looks a lot better. Pics below:

Here's another bot. This one is a Cruiserweight successor to my Annihilation Nation entry Subterfuge. Since it's the successor to Subterfuge I figured I should give it a somewhat related name, so this is Insurrection

Changes from Subterfuge include:

  • Perm 132 weapon motor instead of perm 80
  • Full-size Minion disc instead of a mini one
  • Steel front wedge and Titanium sides rather than Aluminium front and Polycarb sides
  • New larger chassis to accommodate larger components
  • Angled 'spinner killer' pieces on the front wedge

Works pretty damn well. May enter it in a tournament at some point if anything requiring Cruiserweights pops up. Weight of the bot is 596.7KG and the armour is Pl5. Pics below:

Interior:

Would look better with the chassis a bit shorter but the weapon motor already pokes out of the top of the bot ever so slightly. All in all pretty happy though, though any feedback you have to improve it is more than welcome.

Rebuilt Nightjar from the ground up and managed to find a bit of weight to get a couple of triangle pieces under the angle pieces on the wedge. I think it does a decent job of making the bot look more connected.

Still got some nasty motor clipping out the back due to the nature of NPCS but there's not much that can be done about that. Front wedge construction still a mix of Al and Ti (Main panel is Al, angle pieces are Ti) and armour is slightly upgraded from Al3 to Pl5.

Looks solid apart from that. Maybe try and made the wedge and main body more connected, kinda looks like 2 bots glued together atm

my planned entry for the next Redditbots (Hence the disgusting skirt wedge. If I ever enter it into something on GTM the skirt wedge will be gone.)
Yes, thank you, I can and did read that. I felt that the wedge was so bad it was worth repeating, since the point of showcases is advice. Try contributing something instead of sh**posting in a showcase next time.

I agree that the wedge and the main chassis look a bit disconnected. I originally had a DSL armour triangle on either side under the angle pieces, which made it look a lot more connected, but they had to be ditched because of weight problems. Weight is the main issue here that's preventing me from doing what I actually want to do with this bot, as there's not really much I can get rid of to find the weight to do more stuff to it.
Weight is always an issue, maybe change some of the back pllates to polycarb to save weight, or do a small redesign of the front?
I just tried switching the back panels from Al to Polycarb and it only saved 5kg unfortunately. In terms of redesigning the front end I've been trying to go for an angled 'spinner killer's wedge, which is basically what the whole bot was designed around. Unsure as to how I can redesign the wedge while still maintaining that spinner killer style and function. Any advice?
