Was making another extender bot

Outer

Inner

A lot faster than the previous one, however I can't get the triangle plates to meet up at the top, plus need to add wedges to bottom of triangle plates, but cant.
Now THAT is neat. Wedge is a little steep but there's not much you can do due to the limiter number of angles achievable with triangle plates. Don't worry too much about the plates not meeting at the top, it still looks solid.

Can we do my bois VS Pwn's bots? Wanna see how it would have gone if both bots from our teams were in there.

Could do with some variation in the colour, but the design itself looks solid. A very good first attempt at an extenderbot.

Another day, another extenderbot. Dual undercutter HS / tombclone this time.

Key Features:
  • 798.1 KG
  • 2X NPC Fast drive
  • 2X TWMR powering twin undercutting flywheels(Hella underpowered for a HW I know)
  • Titanuim top and bottom armour with aluminium side armour

Pics:

Exterior:

Interior:

Hopefully as close as I'll ever come to making a tombclone. Super underpowered but it's more just a gimmickbot. Might revamp it with a less generic chassis at some point.

Wow what an amazing Hypnodisc replica, the shape is perfect! And Tommy how do you build so well in Stock?! I can barely put a box together in Stock RA2...

I wanted to try and build a slightly less complicated replica, and then these happened...

Good lord. That Lockjaw is ridiculously good

I like it, but something just feels off about the extended end of the flipper
I agree to be honest. Tried to fix it here by putting a kink in the flipper and adding a couple of pieces out the front (Which also serve to prevent the bot from tipping forward when flipping.) Still extends out the front a bit but less obnoxiously than before hopefully.

Another new bot. Extenderbot as usual.

Key Features:

  • 795.00 KG
  • 2X TWMR2 Drive
  • 1x Beta burst motor powered flipper with 2X 40KG Counterweights
  • All aluminium construction

Pics:

Exterior:

Interior:

Feedback is welcome. Also, can anyone tell me if counterweights actually make a difference on burst motors? I'm not entirely sure.

Cheers lads! Haha patience isn't one of my strong points, especially when extenders don't snap properly. I've just been quietly working away at it for a long while!

Speaking of, let me introduce my attempt at this not-so little guy!

PS: Sorry if I'm taking over this thread a little, these are the only two replicas I've made!
The fact you're making such accurate replicas of such awkwardly shaped and difficult to recreate bots amazes me. Please keep it up.

First time building a replica of a real bot, just wanted to share my attempt at everybody's 'favourite' Tombstone Fodder. Apologies for the lack of yellow!
Welcome to the forums Arcane, like your Radioactive replica. PS, Ever tried using DSC's IRL component pack?

Wow what a response, thank you everyone!
And no I've never heard of it before, although more components are always welcome!
It essentially just provides different colours of the extenders and armour panels so you could give your Radioactive replica the correct colour scheme.

Cool stuff, reminds me of Rapid.
Thanks! It originally looked a lot more like Rapid (Was shorter and didn't have a sloped back) but that had to be abandoned in order to actually fit everything inside.

Another new bot. A rather messy flipper extenderbot. I spent ages trying to get the panels to line up fully but I just couldn't manage it. I don't know how Tashic manages it. Here it is though. 2X Wide Medium VDMAs for the flipper so its pretty powerful. Chassis is mostly titanium, though the main front panel is steel and the rear is aluminium. 4 wheel drive slimbodies as it was all that would fit and give it reasonable speed, and even with them the wheels stick out slightly (These are the smallest ones that would make contact with the ground).

Pics:

Exterior:

Interior (Viewed from below with the bottom removed, as removing the top would require disassembly of the whole bot):

I'm reasonably happy with how it came out despite the messiness, though if you have any suggestions on what can be done to improve it I'd be grateful.

Looks like you watched my showcase...
Looks neat-o. Is it made for drag racing?
Did you make something like this?

I just made this because Vengaboys memes

You could use ant saws iirc
That worked nicely. Thanks for the suggestion!

VertSpinner.py

There's an AI chart floating around the Downloads section somewhere too that'll explain how to wire up all kinds of stuff.
It's in Philetbabe's signature, to make things less complicated.
Also in the tutorial index right on the front page of the site.

Cool, reminds me of Wild Thing.

Thanks! It was actually somewhat based off Wild Thing, though the disc is a bit more effective.

actually reminds me of the Surgeon General as well, if only because i think with a little tinkering it could have a similar setup. I'd potentially try and have the disks themselves less flush to the wedge, either via small disk (i think that's the right terminology but i haven't played this game since 2015 and even then it was mostly 2.1) or perhaps a drum, since that'd look slightly neater, closer to Wild Thing, and more realistic imo.
I actually tried raising the disc a little with a small disc but the small disc seemed a bit too thick and made it look odd. Anything thinner that I can use?

Another bot. Really rather happy with this one. It was in no way inspired by a certain multi-time Robot Wars semi finalist... honest.

Wedge is mostly steel with the upper part where nothing can really hit being aluminium to save weight. Underside is Titanium and rear is a combination of titanium and aluminium. Weapon has 4X large typhoon teeth and is driven by a Tornado Mer motor. Drive is 2X TWMR2 Drives so it's plenty nippy. 796.6 KG. Pics below:

Exterior:

Interior (The insides of this bot are a ****ing nightmare. Had to take the top panel and disc off to show the insides at all, so apologies for the poor picture):

Any feedback is more than welcome!
