Would anyone be interested in awards?  And do awards count towards the tournament deadline?

Sure, and I think they shouldn't depending on how long you have them up for.

   Byebots - TrippeR & Evolve Or Be Spun Somewhere: About as good as byebots need to be.
   G.K. - Armoured Spaceship 1.3 & Vertical Terrors 2: I like the originality of Terrors.  Spaceship is good for the chassis armor, but it's a bit risky.
   RedAce - Mako & Metal Muncher Well, I ain't going to do so hot here.
   Thrackerzod - Flim & Flam Beefy chassis strength might be helpful for HS's, but it looks kinda fragile.
   Yugitom - Quite Far Away & A Tad Further Away Looks better than I thought they would be, (no offense yugi) but it still might have a slight chance.
   KOS - Stealth Torpedo & Hell Fire Looks like a deadly combo.  Let's hope they don't kill each other.
   Lightning S. - Trickled Freedom & Crocodile Two drums?  Looks nasty, but might suffer from AGOD.
   Madman3 - Piranha & lmao Sweden 2WD + Juggler and Popup = slow not getting under opponents efficiently.
   Silverfish & Sircreepalot2 - Black Hole IV & Gravitic Reversal 2 Looking kinda fragile, but I'm not sure myself on how they would do.
   Sage - Supreme DadLord & Mom Looks pretty vicious.  Could go pretty damn far here.
   Reier - VERTIGO & PSYCHO Looks kinda unstable, but then again, VS's these days (or in my case anyway) contract AGOD.
   090901 - pomf =3 & atop a cake 1.1 pomf might serve as a distraction for atop a cake to toss them out.  Could do rather well.
   Mr. AS - Red Giant & Aquarius I like the RA1 theme here, wish I thought of something creative) but it could potentially go far.
   Mechadino - NeBula and \/WrAth/\ They're good bots on their own, but together could lead to some friendly fire issues.
   Hercules - MyLast36HS & ThisDoesntCount Two HS's could wreak havoc and wreak havok.   
   Badnik96 - cheese and Swamp Demon 3: Reckoning I doubt cheese will have as much luck as it did in Robots in Space, and Swamp Demon might be too unstable.
   S_M - This Way Please + Mr. Claws Lazy re-entry from G.K.'s previous tournament and HS with claws.  Alright then.
   NeighImACarrot - Vengeance & Glory This will be interesting looking and Vengance.

Overall, sporadic levels of entries here.  I'm probably butchering something so hard with the Tag Team rules, but I'm too sleepy at the moment.  Ah well.  Good luck everybody!

I know I got trolled the hardest, but once I saw my bot, I just said "F@#$ it.  If they gave up, so do I.  And I see that Kurt was the one who started this fiasco.  Typical.

And Avalanche's bot doesn't look too bad here honestly.  I can't believe I'm saying that.

First, the bad news: The DSL 2.2 release will be delayed.  It's not coming out on the 26th.

Damn it.  Ah well.  I've been patient for 5-8 years, so I'll live.  Take your time.  You need it.

And funny thing too.  I've just messed with Vladiator Poker and it feels weird.  I bet I'll feel right at home with these.  Keep up the good work!

Edit: Also, I just thought of this, but are there any plans for any "Small Beta Hammer" Motors?  I think they would come in handy in my opinion.

Mystic2000 wins 2-1 with 2 KO's.  Reier gets one TKO.

Originally Mystic would've lost by handicap of the arena, so I guess in a way, both won this match.

Okay, so I have both bots, and because of the arena, one bot starts off stuck on top of the wall and then it gets pushed off later by it's opponent.  Should I show the results of this or should I ask the challengers to change the arena for a more fair fight?

Is "Best New Tournament Host" restricted to new members only, or is it just for anyone who hosted their first tournament this year?

I'm going with say latter.  Although nicsan got third last year, despite him hosting about 3 or 4 tourneys a two years prior.

Also, Lightning, do you mean tournaments that got the SBV thread in 2015, or when the signups thread got off the ground?

Ah.  Going for the multibot tactic.  I think this is the first time where one has done this  in my tournaments.

It looks pretty good, but can you show the blueprint squares?  I'm curious if it has 16 full squares contained or not.

Also I don't get the banning of Ant Batteries, Ant Wheels, and BSG Motors.
I also don't get why there is a minimum and maximum on wheels.

First of all, this more-so an experiment to see if I can actually get a retro style for this type of tournament.  I know I won't get everything that was in a style that BBEANS2 had, but I hope to see if I can come close and make this work, so no one can say I didn't try.  Second of all, Ants are too powerful and their potential wasn't quite realize until later.  The Ant Wheels was something I wasn't quite sure on, but I thought those could be abused anyway.  BSG's are about as powerful as Mag Snappers, but are much lighter.  This also wasn't quite discovered way back when.

Oh, and I have received Lightning S's new bot.  Now it's accepted, AI'd, and ready to go.
