Those bronze wheels stick out like a sore thumb. Can you retexture or change them?
Also, with black bots, put them on a white or transparent background so we can make them out more. Cheers <3
I definitely agree about the bronze wheels being ugly, the only reason I've had to use them is weight. I suppose I could recolour them but I was planning on entering this into some tourneys and it would be a bit of a pain for the hosts if I did recolour them. Will put my bots on a transparent background from now on though.

YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY UPDATES (or double posts for that matter ). Made some more changes to make the HW version of the S3 bot more effective, hopefully better looking, and also reduce the number of extenders so maybe it won't give hosts actual cancer if I enter it into anything. Swapped the disc with teeth for a 259 disc, and replaced some clumps of extenders with armour panels instead.

Wasn't happy with the performance of that version so I made a few edits to shoehorn a perm 132 in there and replace the beaters with typhoon teeth

HW version of the previous bot. This is knockout. Downgraded in basically every respect. Perm 80 weapon motor instead of a 132, TWMR drive instead of TWMR2s (Still surprisingly fast though due to the large wheels), and just generally smaller in every dimension. Looks wise though I'm even happier with this one than I am with the last for some reason, though the copper coloured motorbike wheels (Which are there because of weight, I originally used slim wheels but they were too heavy) do mar the looks a bit. 1 black and 1 ant for power, 797.2KG. I've been trying to make that kinda bot for ages now and you do this to me god damn
looks sick man
Cheers man. You should still give making one of these type of bots a go though. Would be neat to see how someone else approaches making one of them.

I've always wanted to make an S3 style bot in RA2 so I decided to give it a shot today. Started building one with discs and shell panels before I realised no wheels were big enough to touch the ground with that method (Or so I thought, because I forgot motorbike wheels existed at that point), so I decided to make on out of a ludicrous amount of extenders instead. This is the result: Uppercut. TWMR2 Drive and a Perm 132 for the disc 2 black batts for power. Almost everything except for the main struts preventing the disc from hitting the ground (which are steel) is aluminium, and it still weighs in at 1192.2 KG. Seems to be fairly effective in combat though and is surprisingly nippy considering it has mid-tier HW drive on an SHW. Pics: (No internal pic because it's mostly empty in there and it's absolute murder to disassemble) Exterior:

Yet another one. This is Shatner's Bassoon. Side hammer/ Horizontal clamp this one. Was originally built to have treads but I had to ditch them because of massive AGOD issues. 793.5 KG with a mix of Ti and Alu armour. 2 small VDMA bursts for the hammers and dual TWMR2s for drive. 2 battlepacks and 1 black for power. Super nice work on that drum
Thanks Kill, really means a lot
Another bot, this time a hammer bot. 799.1
Sentinel [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
Like the bot itself but some of the decorations I'm not a fan of. The flames on the chassis look super out of place and the flags on the back being off centre really irks me. Never thought I'd say this too but the antenna looks out of place. The bot itself is solid though. I particularly like the polycarb so you can see the batteries

Hell yeah, how far does it fire?
Not massively far but a decent amount. It's a small piston

Added a lil pokey spike on a piston as kurt suggested, and managed to fit 4 small airtanks in. Had to drop the bottom panel down to aluminium though.

Yet another one. This one is a pure, boring rambot. 4 wheel drive NPC Fasts, front armour is steel, everything else except for the rear is Ti, rear is Alu. Rather happy with it visually though it is quite boring. I do have some weight to play with as it's 773KG and I could get even more by changing a few panels from Ti to Alu, so suggestions for possible weapons systems or visual additions that would make it a tad less boring are welcome. Is that a judge burst?
If so I'm pretty sure they don't really fly in IRL building these days, same with the skirts sticking out from under the plow.
All in all it's a bit of a mess really, unless you were going for DSL-S.

Mate, don't make IRL stuff in DSL 2.1 - it's just not the done thing any more. Download yourself a copy of DSL 2.2, the Realistic AI pack, and start there.
Yeah, it's a whole new skillset to learn. Yeah, it's a ballache. But the results are well worth the time.
I think that is 2.2. I don't think the armour plates he's used on the front were in 2.1.
They look too thick to be skirt panels though 40cm tite skirt panel wedgelet thingies are in DSL 2.1, my man.

i love both of them, really well done designs
I really dig it. That shape is just kinda different and cool.
TY both of you. I'm still not too sure about the vert myself though.

On one of my building sprees so here's another one. Much happier with this one than the last. This is Hellspawn. Axebot wit a large VDMA R/P piston for the weapon, dual NPC fast drive, 2 black batts and 2 battlepacks for power, and of course an pair of antennae. Armour is largely titanium with a few areas being steel or aluminium. The whole thing weighs 799.4 KG. Only problem I have with it is that the colourscheme has made it look like a poorly made ripoff of one of DSC's bots :/ Pics: Exterior: Interior:

Here's some kind of abomination. Had an idea in my head for a vert that I wanted to build and this is what resulted. Looks nothing like my original vision but it's... unique. Dual NPC regular drive because Fasts made it flip over and a perm 132 for the weapon. All Ti armour. 798.something KGs Pics: Exterior: Interior:

Me not postied anything in a while so here we go:
First of all an update to Margin of Error, with a better looking blade: [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] Still waiting on a CW tournament to send as entry.
There may or may not be one coming up very soon As for the bots holy moly you never fail to blow me away Tashic. Hammerhead is insane and counterflip is neat AF.
