On a bit of a building kick so here's another. Decided to build my first Eggbeater style bot and this is the result. This is Chroma. The shell shape was an absolute nightmare of angles to work out but I'm really pleased with the results. 2 TWMR2s for drive and a perm 132 for the weapon. No srimech but that was a necessary sacrifice to get it into the HW limit (it weighs 799.7KG). Wedge is Ti with the angle pieces being steel, while everything else is Alu.

Another one. Wanted to build a version of my 'signature' bot Bocuma that had E-Tek drives for drive, so this is it. Didn't feel it was worthy of the moniker of Bocuma IV due to the number of corners I had to cut to get it into weight (Polycarb bottom, no fake pistons on the flipper etc) so it's called Bocuma Evo. Rather large for a HW due to the size of the Etek drives but I managed to get them in there. Front panel is Ti everything else is alu except for the polcarb bottom. 2 VDMA front hinge bursts for the so same power as Bocuma III but more drive. 799.9 KG

What's the point of having a great big "back the **** away" bar if the opponent has to get in really close quarters before it gets hit?Because it looks interesting 1008

Here's a new one. This is Zero Sum Game. Apex style spinner but a lil bit different. 4 mag for the spinner as it's the largest motor I could fit, dual NPC fasts for drive.

Another new bot. This one has a lot less character than my last few but I'm really happy with how cleanly the design came out. This is Rascasse. Drum spinner powered by 2 flatmotors, and 2 NPC fasts for drive. Design was sort of based off the series 6 version of Wild Thing but if it had a drum instead of a lil disc. Armour is a mix of Ti and Alu with the supports for the drum being steel.

I haven't messed around with these panels but they really do make the bots look good. Thanks! The panels and component freedom combined certainly gives you a lot of freedom in terms of designs you can make. they're a lot of fun to build with too. |
