Sent my bot. If you still don't mind me skinning the Ring Arena to look like a wrestling ring, then I can still do it for ya.

![]() Probably the wide wedge base is the least authentic part about this, but I think the original NAR AI version had something similar to this, so I think it's alright. ![]() I had no idea if I wanted to make Samurai a hammer or a popup, but since the original was a hammer, I decided to go with the former. Probably gonna be rebuilt since the trapping device seems unneeded with HS and shell spinners probably nerfed without razors. ![]() ermagahd empty space. I kinda like how this one turned out otherwise. Not sure if spike strips are a good alternative for popups, but those things have pretty good reach for what they are, so I guess? I'll get the second half built probably over the weekend, but what are your thoughts on these? 1005

Challenge Board / Re: RA2 CHALLENGE THREAD - DISCUSSIONS« on: March 21, 2016, 11:34:51 AM »Sure. Should we have a "no wedges rule" or is that not needed for a LW challenge?Anyone down to face me in anything at all? I'll let you decide what the restrictions are.Up for some Stock LW in the Ring Arena? Speaking of rings, has anyone made a wrestling ring arena?I think JoeBlo made one for Backlash way back when, but it was never released. I can skin the Ring Arena to look like one for this challenge if you don't mind. 1007

Stock Showcases / Re: Lightning's Robots« on: March 20, 2016, 03:19:39 PM »As for the menu, you're saving the picture as auto-detect for the bitrate.Oh yeah. If you're using something like Paint.net, turn auto-detect off if you want to save textures for RA2. It does that and it's weird. I'd keep the textures for the Compressor Ironbot Edition. It help distinguish the two. The bots are pretty cool, but do either of them suffer from AGOD at all? 1010

What's with
Not bad overall, but it doesn't quite feel like a Ripblade to me. 1011

Can I get a closer look ah the hammer in I1 and the VS in C2 (heh) please?
These all look pretty good. I plan on downloading this. Also, let me know if you have any ideas of names for the AI pack.LSAI? Shock in Stock AI? Thunderbots AI? Those are all I can think off. 1014
Tournament Archives / Re: Banter Wars Challenge Belt - Enter your best!« on: March 19, 2016, 07:03:50 AM »
Does the bot have to be pretty bad for the viewers sake or can I enter something that is God tier?
Also, for the 40 second intro, do you want things like a montage or what? Edit: Never mind. I can't read. :/ 1015

You know, you should probably put this on the front page so I don't have to search for the post I'm looking for when it gets buried.
Also, I will send my team soon. I haven't forgotten. 1016

So wait hold on. Do we need to wait for everyone to have a rival first vet re we suggest bot types for our rivals to build, or can we give our rival our bot type if we already have one?

I came extremely close in Ironforge at one point while testing the RA1 team, but that's about as close as I got with this.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I tried to rotate MAD's weapons so that they are all facing the same direction, but then the bot would tip to far forward and then become useless. I got Big Metal Friend longer weapons by 20cm and a back stabilizer at the cost of weaker wedges.
Now for the rest: ![]() This was gonna be an SnS that was also 1WD, but I couldn't get it working since it was a havok bomb, and 1WD isn't all that cool honestly. inb4 sm is triggered ![]() Yeah. After seeing that I have more bots that use iron spikes than bots that use hammers, I might update this to have a hammer which might also help with combat. Pretty nimble overall. ![]() Really hoping that the wedges are good on this one, otherwise I spent an hour on making a SHW Hybrid for nothing. Also, weird thing to note, but this bot taught me that the backdrop is annoying as an anti-ballast. It has an attachment point way out of the zone which hinders the attachments. So, if you do want to use it for an anti-ballast, make sure you attach it far away from the bot so it's out of reach. But yeah. I might fix these up before sending them. 1020

What Badnik said.
Also, I bet the stakes are not as high for this as something like a AAA game made by well known developers and publishers. |
