Mars Volta is gonna kick ass, but tbh I'm more excited for the bands directly before and after them, so I'm worried they'll get.. overshadowed (':

We should probably have a GTM photo at some point, probably Thursday evening or Friday morning if you're there :P

Everything that you would expect to be good was great other than Anthrax.

Just a thing, Alestorm were absolutely AMAZING live and by far the must fun act there.

Opeth was amusing due to some really un-subtle comedy from Mike ("I'm just a poor watchmaker, that's why my timing is so good"). Musically very good.

Anthrax lacked energy, Scott's absence really effected the band.

'Deth were good. Their new song isn't.

Slayer were fun, plus Jeff Hannemann was still ill, meaning we got Gary Holt from Exodus instead, which made it a secondary highlight.

Gojira were fun. Very good live.

Periphery were much better live than on album because the vocalist didn't sound like his whiny self.

Mastodon were decent, though I found them unimpressive :trollface

Slipknot ruined day 3. Naturally.

Bill Bailey was great, really amusing.

In Flames sucked. Naturally.

Nah, just kinda dull thrash. Not as good as the stuff on Endgame.

But damn, Alestorm are honestly great live. You might want to try their album versions for a bit of a taster.

I already know, and like Alestorm, I know a few people at my school who can't shut up about them lol

And dull thrash? Sounds to me better than what they had on endgame ;P

The riffs are staler than Endgame's. Less solo happy though.

Yeah, that makes Warbringer's Waking Into Nightmares the best thrash album of 09.

Amaaaazing weekend. Seem as though the metal has pretty much been reviewed (but Slipknot were pretty good), the alt-rock scene was pretty awesome there too.

Biffy Clyro - Better than I expected them to be, seem as though I thought people would bottle them. My weekend highlight, especially getting up front for it.

Weezer - Kicked aaaass, as they do. I stroked Rivers' hair ;)

You Me At Six - Kinda really sucked. I can usually live with their music but their performance was baaaad.

Kids In Glass Houses - Amazing, actually. So energetic, given the rain. Got up front, again XD

RICHARD CHEESE - DAMN, HE SO GOOD. Got on the big screens, being at the front when he walked around :')

Bill Bailey - also awesome. Almost got stuck in a mosh pit for his Rammstein-styled cover of 'Scarborough Fair' and 'Hokey Cokey' (':

In all? Amazing weekend :D
