Guitar techniques
« on: July 10, 2011, 10:17:08 AM »
I have been playing guitar for a couple of months and would like a few tips on the techniques i've learnt so i can improve.Does anyone have any tips or tricks for the following;
  • Sweep picking
  • Vibrato
  • Tapping
I'm trying to make myself a better player, so i can learn the solo of "Symphony of Destruction"-Megadeth, everything up to solo has been learnt but the solo itself...eeh.Help would be REALLY appreciated :D

Sweep picking isn't used on that solo, but generally you should just try on getting the notes a clear as possible before speeding up for use in song.

Vibrato, I bend the string slightly as opposed to the traditional vibrato methods. As for tapping, you just have to practice it. But I find it easier if you use the middle finger of your plucking hand as well, and at least three notes in sequence. Which is why I find it quite easy to play Metallica's One solo. Still not learned sweep picking yet, but I'd start off slowly to begin with. Same with anything on guitar.

Make DNB
You don't even play guitar.

Actually I used too, before I got into playing the drums. Then I started messing around the drum machines which got me into producing DnB
