ok. now that the beta is out, i want to know what else would be cool. i could just keep making different colored things, but i really want this to be cool. is there anything anyone wants specifically?

As long as you make sure everything has a skin that you can skin yourself, I think it will be cool.

i believe he uses paint and edits gmfs for the components.

nope. for all the components i have done so far, its been photostudio 5. i have recently aqcuired Photoshop extended, and will use that from now on.

Idea: true black components. Just a solid black skin, with zero shine, so the component looks like a 2-d, lightless black shape. Kinda like a solid black bot with DSA. Maybe you could even invert the mesh normals so it doesn't get lit up at all.

Probably not very practical, but if you're desperate for ideas might be cool. You can PM me if you want to try it but don't know the necessary gmf stuff.

believe me, i am not running outta ideas. thanks, but to go through all the components, copy and rework the gmf, add a new skin, AND add a .txt for each of them,, i dont think it would be worth the trouble. i bet you kow exactly what i mean, you doing dsl and all.

this pack messes up dsl2 make new names for the airtank models and also maps they completly mess up dsl2 thay make mini tanks black tanks and also black tanks look more dark green than black...

if you read the description of the black airtank it says its green in high detail and black in low.

Err... the pack is for stock only. It is not made for DSL, which is virtually a different program from stock. Therefore, it is incompatible with DSL and will only serve to cause problems with the game. What you are trying to do is give maps to a component that is not the correct airtank. It's like a 2-year old trying to fit in a grown man's skin. It just will not work. It's not the pack that's messed up, it's just that you installed it in the wrong game.

I see you got the reflection maps down. Looks great. Can we expect to see more shiny chrome weapons? I think pointy tips would work... anything rounded. Flat components don't look good with reflection maps.
