It's just a case of creating the text files for the components, however with Hypno Disc I did have to fiddle around with the GMF a lot.

Here's my one if anyone would like :P

https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/hypnodisc.rar

Just extract the folder and text files to the Components folder, and the .bot file to the robot designs folder :) (Sorry for leaking some stuff, Click xD)
Damn I should probably put something fancy in this bit huh?

Cheers, Wham. The only problem however, is that whilst I've put everything into their correct places (Including the HypnoDisc bot file into the Robot Designs folder), the HypnoDisc replica does not show up on the "Import Replicas" list when I try to import it into a Team. I've no idea why it's doing it, but does anyone know why and how to fix it?

Dunno why it's doing that :S

Anyway, the new Chaos 2 :P

Now square :P And a bit bigger :) Also more powerful - Can easily launch a bot OOTA :)
I might get round to sorting out the slope on the top of the sides :P

Yes, that's the strange thing- I've no idea why it's happening, I've done everything to it I need to.

I love the look of the new Chaos 2, though- has that annoying issue with its flipper attaching from underneath rather than the top been solved?

I'm also very much liking the looks of the new Thermidor 2 and Pussycat. In the meantime, I'll try and reinstall it and see if that helps.

EDIT: OK, I've got it working now- looks like the reinstall helped it out tremendously. I can use HypnoDisc now, and it's just so much fun to use. Would it be alright if you could also send e the other four replicas you have, Wham? Thanks.

I've only discovered Typhoon 2 and Hypno-Disc so far.

While I'm in the Replica mood, I'm hoping to lighten Click's load a bit and edit some of the replicas that needed some work done. So far, i've managed to shrink Panic Attack and Thermidor's components to make for more Heavyweight sized robots (As opposed to the Superheavyweight sized ones that we see in DSL 2.1) and i'm hoping to do the same for Firestorms in the near future :P I have a few ideas of what to do, but it'll take a bit of time :P

GF93 already did Panic Attack a while ago.  I don't believe he shrunk any of the components though.  I was more of the opinion that some of the smaller bots (Bulldog Breed and Dominator 2, in particular) needed to be bigger.

But that would be fantastic if you worked on updating some of the replicas.  Then I will just need to do some .txt file editing to get the components properly balanced.

One thing to take note of, though; I'm trying to phase out all those weird hidden replica parts like the flatmotor, AU replica motor, and darkcell batteries.  Make the cheatbot2 component list a little less cluttered.  I want to use stock parts whenever possible in the new replicas.

So best wheel has changed from techno to hypno ? Eh. Still a problem considering most bots are not NPC-thin.
2 things happened

1.  Weight is now based on wheel size
2.  Grip is independent of weight.

Which means you use the smallest wheel that has decent grip, turns out that wheel is hypno with 1.2 grip at 10.5 kg, which also happens to be the wheel with the highest grip anyway so you can ignore all other wheels unless you absolutely must have a larger one.  HP is absolutely meaningless because larger wheels will break faster than smaller wheels anyway due to hitbox.

Then again, with half sheet gone, all wedge bots will probably be NPC thin, and everything else a battery box.

Trust 123 to be first to break the game.  But that's a good thing, I need to get things like this worked out for the final release.  I never thought of the fact that big wheels will get hit more--perhaps if I put HP on an exponential scale?  Or make grip increase relative to size.

Also no, I'm not sure I want a weapon that deals 5000 damage per hit with 2000 fracture.  The weapon balancing is probably the aspect of DSL3 I'm least confident about right now.  There's a good chance it will change in future updates.

Well even back in DSL 2.1 the 4 npc/hypno has always been the more sturdy choice over the 2 npc/techno setup.  Techno was use purely for it's awesome grip.

Especially after the introduction of wheel connection point, wheels can be easily protected from the side as well.

multiple 10cm carbon fiber was used to buffer multiple side hits with it's 300 fractures.  If I really want to invest I can put a real side armor on it, and will still come out cheaper than using larger wheels.

Personally I will only buy heavier wheels for increase speed, unless wheels become more durable than armor pieces.

If that's a job you want done, consider me hired! :D

And well one thing I'm thinking could be done is some of the replica components don't really need to be there - like the different shell, ect., so maybe setting their hidden vaule to 1 will make them almost invisible when it comes to the components list, and also makes the cheatbot2 list less cluttered aswell (as desired :P)

GF- Well i'm going to be leaving little details till the end more, and along with the top slopes, the flippers AP is on my to do list :)

@Click- Yes. To save you looking for it though, Wham-

Made it using the textures from RW: Extreme Destruction. Its size was intentional on my part, since Panic Attack was a pretty big robot in real life. I've also since updated the skirts on it, so that they're more consistent with the rest of the body- would you like me to send you the textures for those as well, Click?

@Wham- OK, that's fair enough. Better to have it once it's finished after all, right? One thing I could suggest with it is to rig it up like Bulldog Breed's flipper, with the top half of the flipper acting as a burst motor. That way, it'd fire realistically, and you'd kill two birds with one stone with the whole "Replica Parts doubling as useful parts of the robot" approach.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing it if HypnoDisc is anything to go by- keep up the good work, I reckon we'll be in for a real treat once they're all finished.   :approve:

contrary to what winrar says, the 40 day free trial never runs out

even if you cant extract it with winrar there are plenty other extractors out there in the deep blue internet
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

Next to that, seeing the trial never ends, doesn't that mean that it's also just free?

7-Zip can be added to the right click menu. That's how mine is.

Anyway, keep up the good work everyone.
