Guys, if you think about it, Spies are situational as heck.
Its just the fact those situations are easy to run into into.

Which come to think of it, in turn makes it more satisfying when I catch them out. And even more so when they scream in agony as I immolate and hack them to death with my Axe  >:D

Gentlemen, allow me to give my opinion. I've been playing TF2 for literally only a few weeks, but I think I've now gotten the feel for the game and so can give a balanced opinion.

I started out playing those character I really wanted to play as before I got the game, due to public opinion (kind of) and who had the most awesome gameplay. These were Pyro, Demoman, Heavy and Medic. I had a go with these classes first and I never managed to enjoy the game or get any success. Pyro was essentially OP at close range (which it should be, no complaints), it's just that I could never time my ambushes correctly and gain the element of surprise. Demoman, out of at least 30 minutes straight gameplay I got a total of 5-10 kills, it was hopeless. Heavy... well, I'll put it like this. Every time I came into the open, either a Sniper would disintegrate my face or a Spy would backstab me. No fun. Medic was far worse, the longest I lasted in a single life was clocked at about 2-3 minutes, it was tantamount to rape and it made me want to throw my copy of the orange box into the bin.

But then I stopped, and played the other characters, and when I played as Spy, oh SWEET MUTHA OF JESUS it was so much fun. The most fun I've ever had playing any computer game. It just felt so rewarding. It's difficult and requires a lot of patience and a quick wit, but it's worth it when I stab a stupid Pyro in the back and steal his identity (Your Eternal Reward).

TL;DR? I'm very sorry GF, but we have to agree to disagree. Until I get the hang of Pyro, I'm staying as Spy.

(And on a side note can I add you guys on Steam? I have 0 friends on there and it makes me sad :c)

EDIT: I also hate camping Vagineers on 2fort, makes me sick.

Have you guys ever played TF2 on the Xbox?

- No hats
- No items
- No rocket jump
- Everything is 2fort
- Pyro has no airblast
- Crappy controls means sniper is useless
- Same for scout, although to a much lesser degree
- Normal shotguns are so powerful
- Demoman is unbalanced, too powerful
- People can choose how many (If any) of each class per team. 6v6 medic = FML. No spy (75% of servers) is just self-harm.
- Über seems to build really slow
- Everyone on your team is retarded, and the entire other team is either demos and F+RT pyros or 6 medics
- Or 6v6 sentry-camping, obviously spy disabled
- So easy to spawn camp
- Still is 4th best game on Xbox. -_-

It's all about practice and perserverance when learning how to play with classes you're not used to. I start out with the offline practise mode, and then I move onto online play, practising how to use weapons and things, get kills, and utilise all their abilities to the full. It's paying off for me so far, as you'll see in the last bit.

Oh, and don't get me started on the Eternal Reward. So bloody annoying.

On that TL;DR bit, Pyro's not the only class I play as, you know- I also main Demoman and Medic, and sometimes go Engineer and Scout, too. Soldier and Heavy are too slow, Sniper's too fiddly most of the time, and I don't go Spy for obvious reasons, unless it's to go Spycrab.
I do have a nice hat for him (A Fancy Fedora, just in case you're wondering), though.

Fancy Fedora. Team colours, matches the suit, looks cool, inexpensive, silk lining, what's not to like?

WTF? I don't remember disabling Steam Community in-game. I don't even know how to enable it!

I was like that for the last year, then suddenly the aiming with the pipe bomb clicked and I started top scoring as demoknight.
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

Also GF stop whining about Spies. They're meant to be in TF2 and they will always be.
Whining.

I am not whining. I am complaining.
What you fail to realize is Pyro is a thousand times more cheap and irritating than Spy
