Pushing heavy-medic pairs of a cliff right before they pop uber? Check. Reflecting rockets right in the face of the soldier who fired them? Check. Pushing stickies back at the demo who shot them, right before he detonates them? Check. Lighting someone on fire, juggling him in the air for a while (just to piss him off), axtinguishing him? Check. Pushing a medic back from a heavy when ubered, destroying the heavy and seeing at the insults on the chat directed towards you? Check. Destroying a sentry by reflecting its missiles? Check. Reflecting a huntsman arrow right through the head of another enemy? Check (I only managed to do it twice, though). Hearing "Watch out for that pyro, he knows how to reflect" and "God damn stop shooting rockets at that pyro" on alltalk servers? Check. Reflecting a soldier's crocket into his team, killing 5 players? Check, check, check.

Its only "cool" because you can randomly get someone off guard and do a bunch of damage.
But you only get 4 airblasts with it, compared to the Degreaser/regular flamethrower's 8(Its like 8 or 10).

Oh, and Backburner is terrible in Saxton Hale servers.

tl;dr the backburner is for n00bs

The backburner is a payload weapon only IMO. The teams get bunched up to quickly, and most maps have cliffs for airblasting fun.
I know how to airblast decently. Not to the level of experts, but I'm usually leaving a game with at least 3 dominations on a good day. I managed to jugle a heavy/medic uber once, and I've gotten a few suprise kills from reflects with a BB.
The backburner is great for payload race and payload if you defend due to targets bunching up all the time, the normal is good for non payload maps if you haven't got the degreaser, and the degreaser is win if you get it.

@System: Though Backburner spam tends to backfire if the entire Opponent team is nothing but Medics and and Demomen at the cart(Ive run into this a lot. Its a pain to play agenst).

Oh, and Uber Pyros easily clear entire hallways and then some.
