It's getting steadily worse and worse. It'll be soon that they make all parts ridiculously expensive or make repairing take several minutes.

Actually I made this a while back, just never got around to post it.

I just turn on the game recently to see how things are going. Honestly I don't like where it's going.

I went to check the site for the most recent updates. I like the idea of the shields. As for the rest I'm not sure. I'm feeling a little lazy to reinstall the game since my Win7 upgrade.

Terratech might replace it. Essentially in Terratech you're in a survival world just as robots and when you destroy enemy robots you can pick up their scraps and then attach them to your own ship. You can make flying vehicles as well.

You have Terratech and Scraps as possible similar games. But I think all 3 have their own gameplay style, so it's not comparable, imo

With the recent doubling in GP prices, here are my thought on why Robocraft is turning P2W

DISCLAMER: THIS IS A WORK OF FICTION.

-Steam launch result in a huge wave of people they did not expect. They are now face with a huge server update bill that they cannot pay. So a loan was taken out to cover the bill.

-In response, they try various new ways to monetize this game to pay back and maintain their server.

-Player base begin to drop starting August 18th, and is on a steady decline. This might be partly due to people being fed up, but also because “back in school” means kids have less time to play.

-So now they are face wit the new server bill with under half the players of August 18, bound by contract to continue paying for the extra unused servers, and possibly a loan they gotta pay off.

-DEV are desperate and decided to secretly raise prices.

If only they hadn't gone free to play then they wouldn't have this issue. People online said that they rather it be free to play, but honestly it's much better for developer and player if it isn't.

They also changed how the battle rewards get calculated. It seems like I get the same amount of money every time. Like I got 3-6 kills and I get 500 money. I do nothing and die 30 seconds in and I get 400 money. Barely any skill involved. And the railgun has you going to the bathroom and coming back before it finishes reloading.

Since collision change, Sea Whale has been converted to a mobile stealth ambusher.

And with the super RP gain weekend, here's Land Whale. Originally intended as a wheeled bot, it now uses hover anyway because wheel sucks. It has superior line of fire and dominate every 1 on 1 shootout.

seems to me that this game went down the toilet a while ago

nevermind, have a rocket sled

tier 4, quite small and fast for extra dodging, can be added with 4 hoverpads if needed be

of course i can't aim properly because it is so fast

i would have used aerofoils if i didn't got my aerofoils taken away and now i have to grind for sh** tier wheels to get them, i mean wtf

Aerofoils are the best. Useful for everything but thrust.

Lol I get so much more RP gain with that piece of junk since matchmaking is based on Robot Ranking. They end up throwing me against a bunch of Tier 9 like every game.

12x L10 hoverpads
3x L10 F.Thruster, 2x L10 R.Thruster
3x L9 Radar
4x L9 Jammer
2x L9 Receiver
2x Electroplate
4x Rectifier
7x L10 SMG

Apparently I don't need all that many guns with good stealth/maneuverability/recon. Also Rectifier makes great lightweight compact armor (only 5kg).
