Specs
5x L5 SMG
Forward and Reverse Thrust
Tetra wall with acceptable defense
Extra wide stance/legs for increase stability
2x Radar Jammer at the bottom to minimize ground friction.

Update on this silly tank

Specs:
1020 cubes
5x L10 guns
Spaced armor to redirect damage away from guns/gunblocks.
10x L6 wheels + 1x L6 thruster
4x L3 Jammer + 3x L2 Jammer, 2x L3 Receiver, 1x L3 Radar
No full cubes were used in this construction.

Those are some awesome looking vehicles, specially the ship. I still think flying vehicles are more effective equipped with Plasmas, though

Beginners Guide to SMG Tank

Step 1: Line of Fire
================================

First, start by building a chassis with just cubes

Notice how this bot has 3 levels? This is so guns don't block each other when firing.
Also, the further apart wheels are, the better you can turn. Here the base for wheels are 5 space apart, so you can do all kinds of crazy turns without flipping over.

Next add 10 Steering Wheels, 7 top SMGs, and 3 front SMGs, to make sure you have a lot of everything.

And don't forget to throw a radar in the back

This should be good enough to get 2 to 3 kills per match.

Step 2: Prism - Weight and Space
================================
Now lets make this bot look a little better. Start by replacing some of the edges with Prism. Prism has the same armor as cubes but weights half the amount.

In addition to reducing weight, prism also provide space between blocks. This let's you control how damage flow when you get hit. So let's start out simple by re-routing some damage away from the blocks below the guns.

Lol the new RP earning is absolutely retarded, for winners at least.

I heard losers can't even afford to get their bot repaired.

Also no point of KSing now since assist give the same RP as kill. So just do the right thing and blast everyone's guns away.

This is the GUNBED that gets me the kills. Probably cost around 3 million RP, but with today's change it's fairly affordable.

Tired of your guns getting shot off? Then this is the EXPLOIT for you!!!

Yes, as long as the shot starts off inside the collision of another cube, it can shoot through 6 cubes of solid! Now you can wall your guns in all you want!

guess it's time for me to show off my monsters.

(also, and I tried this, with the glitch above you can hide all your guns inside your tank and fire them out. It's beautiful)

So here's my t5, the Fortress of Arrogance. It's named after this.
This thing is a monster. Quick, Plenty of firepower, just a machine of murder. It's fully symmetrical, so everything you see on the left is the same on the right, so I don't have to tell you how many guns or what kinds I have. Between the highest blue armor block and the pilot chair which is underneath the biggest gun, is about 7 blocks of armor-y goodness. The armor on the sides is not as thick, obviously, but I rarely get attacked from the back or sides, so that's not an issue.

I like to call this thing here, 'ONYD Armor'. It stands for Oh-No-You-Don't, and it's made to keep the guns on the side from being shot off for as long as possible. See, when people aim at my sides, they don't tend to aim too precisely (unless it's a railgun) so they shoot mostly underneath my guns. So they shoot at this little contraption, the blocks explode, and all the run-off damage is funneled away from the platform the guns are on.

More ONYD Armor. This time, instead of funneling damage away, it funnels it downwards. Just a last defense sort of thing.

As a whole, this thing is more assault than defense. It can take and deal damage well, but I've tried to focus more on tha shooty bitz.

However, I did make another tank that goes the opposite direction.

This is the Predator Fornicator. Ignore the accidental t4, I fixed that after I took the screenshot. This, while it does have plenty of firepower, is for defense and absolutely tanking damage, and it works as intended.

Where my cursor is pointing at is approximately where the pilot seat is. It's under 2+ blocks of green, 7-10 from the front, 4 from the back, and 3-4 from the sides. Mr. Pilot Person ain't dying anytime soon.

I'd like to call this contraption the Maw. It's sort of a grille made of some triangle pieces and some blocks, and it completely negates most damage. When shot, the extra damage funnels all the way down to the base of the tank, "where not much is going on", so that 1 railgun shot or however many SMG's shot that hits the Maw, is a shot that is completely wasted and does barely any damage to my bot as a whole. And even if that wall is gone, which it goes away pretty fast, there's still 5x7x4 blocks of green to get through (if attacking from the front) before my pilot starts worrying.

Not amazing on the damage front. It'll deal it, but with only 4 L4's and an L6, it can only do so much. And because I don't have all the redundant, expendable weapons that the Arrogance has, the guns have a tendancy to all get shot off.

But that doesn't matter, because even with the guns shot off and 75% of my hull with like 3 wheels, I'm still perfectly mobile and can dash to go capture, even while being chased down and shot at constantly.

So yeah.

so what do to improve this. I don't have enough pFLOPS to get to the end of tier 4 yet, but I just want some advice for when I do.

Pseudo hovercraft, since the cost boost on wheels they became pretty meh.

This design stay mostly on the ground, and really only hover up to avoid obstacles or when being targeted by plasma bombers. The speed allows me to get to enemies first for consistent 6+ kills.

Silly Sniper for hills/edge camping.
Back wheels one square lower to leans bot forward, allowing it shoot down hills from a steeper angle.

On the Robocraft Youtube channel they recently uploaded a video showing off the work in progress spider legs.

They seem to be very nice for climbing up hills and stable shots.

tier 4 fly-y thing

plasmas on top to make dogfights so much easier, also helps with annoying floating platforms

This is my newest robot. It can hover, glide, and drive on land. It the stupidest robot ever, but it works. Haven't tested it out in battle yet.
